  • We had a very nice stay at Norman's place in Washington DC. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. The neighbors were very friendly with us. We never had any problems parking close to the house.

The host was very responsive to our needs. When we inquired about a missing hairdryer, he quickly went to the store and bought one.

When we arrived, Norman had left us a lot of documentation regarding DC`s attractions. He also gave us SmartTrip cards to facilitate our first public transportation trip.

  • Norman provided a very cozy and wonderful experience for our family trip to DC. He was warm and welcoming when we arrived. He had brochures and metro cards out for us, food for breakfast and snacks. The place was nice with 3 TVs, an x-box and comfy beds. We really enjoyed his place!

  • My father (his account) was unable to join us, but he arranged for us to stay with Norman. What a gracious host! He made the time to greet us after a long flight and get us situated and oriented. He was always responsive to our needs no matter what time we contacted him. My sons and I did not have any preconceived ideas of the house so our expectations were met. The house had everything we needed. The neighborhood has been described previously and accurately. However, I would stress that my young sones (11 and 13) had a wonderful time with very friendly and helpful neighbors. I am lost in big cities and everyone in the area were not only welcoming, but quite courteous and friendly. Highly recommend staying with Norman.

  • What can I add to the glowing reviews of Norman and his hospitality? Everything that has already been mentioned I can "ditto." He explained the history of the neighborhood, which I found interesting. The homes along the street were all built for the military working at the Navy Yard many years ago (WWII?) Now there isn't a sign of military, but the homes have all been maintained and you can tell people care about their peaceful street. There is a public library on the street and bike share is available there. We found the Capitol Hill area with museums easily accessible, using various transportation options.
Kudos to Norman, who enjoys hosting visitors to DC and understands what people need.

    Response from Norman:

    Thanks a bunch Jane.

  • A great experience to have the whole apartment to ourselves so we could unwind, relax, and make meals, etc. Norman was a conscientious and helpful host, just nearby in the basement suite if we ever needed anything. He even offered to drive me to my friend's house! Great value for your stay in D.C., the bus stop to downtown just a minute walk away. (Some would say the neighborhood isn't that great, but we found the community to be friendly)

  • Norman was a great host! His house was nice, clean and located close to downtown. Inside the house we got everything that we needed. Bus stop to downtown in 2 minutes from house, grocery store in 10 minutes by feet. Neighborhood was safe and quite. I stayed there with a little baby and it was very comfortable. Neighbors were very friendly to us! Norman is so good, polite, friendly and a attentive person! I would reccomend for everyone to stay in his house!

  • Norman was a very attentive host. He was especially helpful during an emergency situation with our dog. The house is close to bus lines and metro giving easy access to DC attractions.

  • A nice little house, located close to downtown DC. I had heard it wasn't a very good neighbourhood, but we had no problems and found everyone to be very friendly. Isis was a treat, very friendly and playful, and was great with my daughter. Norman was a great host, offering lots of local information, and even gave me a ride to the store when we arrived before we got our rental car! We would stay here again on our next trip.

  • My experience with AirBnB and with Norman’s hosting was excellent and I would recommend this option to anyone needing housing arrangements in the Washington DC aarea. The townhouse was clean and well appointed. Bedding was changed and clean towels were provided periodically. Norman provided valuable information on transportation options, maps, guides, and even a trip to the grocery store for basic supplies. I should add that the Norman had already provided lots of food and kept it replenished. The locality is very convenient for anyone needing access to Washington DC. Bus and metro service are readily at hand, and if you have a rental vehicle, there is a protected and always available place to park. Our stay at “Come Rest, Less Stress 4 Anyone” completely facilitated our work in Washington DC, and I would recommend it to anyone. Just a comment on the neighborhood: We were there in September, and on our way to and from the townhouse, we often talked with neighbors, who were always pleasant and informative. The weather was pleasant and we often talked to folks who were on their porches or walking dogs. It was a new and very positive experience. Overall rating: A.

What a well received review......I truly thank you for staying. Please return anytime or visit for dinner whenever you are in the area.

  • Norman is a good host. He is welcoming and respects the privacy of the guest. His place is just as shown in the pictures. This place is very close to all the attractions in DC; if you drive, it's just less than 10 mins to the national malls.
