Norman was a great host! His house was nice, clean and located close to downtown. Inside the house we got everything that we needed. Bus stop to downtown in 2 minutes from house, grocery store in 10 minutes by feet. Neighborhood was safe and quite. I stayed there with a little baby and it was very comfortable. Neighbors were very friendly to us! Norman is so good, polite, friendly and a attentive person! I would reccomend for everyone to stay in his house!
Norman was a very attentive host. He was especially helpful during an emergency situation with our dog. The house is close to bus lines and metro giving easy access to DC attractions.
A nice little house, located close to downtown DC. I had heard it wasn't a very good neighbourhood, but we had no problems and found everyone to be very friendly. Isis was a treat, very friendly and playful, and was great with my daughter. Norman was a great host, offering lots of local information, and even gave me a ride to the store when we arrived before we got our rental car! We would stay here again on our next trip.
My experience with AirBnB and with Norman’s hosting was excellent and I would recommend this option to anyone needing housing arrangements in the Washington DC aarea. The townhouse was clean and well appointed. Bedding was changed and clean towels were provided periodically. Norman provided valuable information on transportation options, maps, guides, and even a trip to the grocery store for basic supplies. I should add that the Norman had already provided lots of food and kept it replenished. The locality is very convenient for anyone needing access to Washington DC. Bus and metro service are readily at hand, and if you have a rental vehicle, there is a protected and always available place to park. Our stay at “Come Rest, Less Stress 4 Anyone” completely facilitated our work in Washington DC, and I would recommend it to anyone. Just a comment on the neighborhood: We were there in September, and on our way to and from the townhouse, we often talked with neighbors, who were always pleasant and informative. The weather was pleasant and we often talked to folks who were on their porches or walking dogs. It was a new and very positive experience. Overall rating: A.
Norman is a good host. He is welcoming and respects the privacy of the guest. His place is just as shown in the pictures. This place is very close to all the attractions in DC; if you drive, it's just less than 10 mins to the national malls.
For our first AirBnB experience, we both agree Norman was the perfect host. His house was clean and he made sure of the little things, water in the fridge and coffee for the mornings. Tourist literature was on the table and easy to use, the bus cards were a nice touch. The location could not have suited us better, close for both public transport or to take the car in to DC. Norman came by everyday to make sure we were alright and to give us advice on where to eat or to visit. His dog Isis was a treat and kept our dog occupied. We were out most of the day and ate late but if we wanted to chill there were more than enough movies to watch in the house. The parking was appreciaed and the porch was relaxing. Norman's neighbours were nice and friendly we never felt out of place. I recommend this as a great local and would not hesitate to re-book when we visit again.
Thanks again Norman.
This was our first AirBnB experience. We had read the reviews about the neighborhood but weren't overly worried as others said that they felt safe. A friend from DC also warned us about the neighborhood. We did not feel unsafe but it appears that everyone has their blinds on at all times. This makes the house feel "dark" but we got used to it. We were also out for most of the day so it did not bother us. The House is as it is depicted, it is as if you are living in a friend's house but without the friend! So there was food in the fridge, things on the table etc but we did not mind as it felt homely. Norman was also very responsive to our questions. He left maps, information & public transport cards for us to use which was very helpful! The bus stop is only a few minutes walk from the house. He also had space for us to park our car in his driveway at the back of the house safely. All in all a very nice first time experience with AirBnB.
From start to finish I have to say that this was a TOP airbnb experience. Norman was always prompt, inviting and clear in his correspondence with me. He proved to be the same in person, too. Prospective guests need not to wonder about how the house REALLY looks. It is, in-person, exactly the way it is represented in the listing. When I arrived, Norman greeted me at the door, spent a few minutes chatting with engaging conversation, gave me a brief tour of the house, and then left. He was non-intrusive yet appropriately attentive with a quick email during my (and my friend's) stay to make sure everything was OK... and it was! I loved having use of the kitchen, allowing us to cook; also, flat-screen cable TV, clean towels and adjustable a/c were all wonderful "pluses" to our stay.
GENEROUS, INVITING, RESTFUL, ENJOYABLE, COMFORTABLE are all words I would use to describe my experience with this host and his home. If I'm ever to be in the DC area again, I would choose this accommodation (if it's available). Great kudos to Norman for his hospitality and provision! "Thank you for posting your place!"
Our stay in Norman house was made wonderful and pleasant from the start. The service more than exceeded our expectations. Norman is a deeply kind and honest individual who really cares about his guests. The bus stop is very close to the house. The neighborhood is quite and safe. Our family had one of the best vacations. I will recommend this host to all my friends.
