About This Listing
We´re renting our personal apartment starting July 28th until August 12th because we´ll be exploring Sweden :) Our home is comfortable, quite and cozy. It´s not a hotel, neither is it perfect but it has everything we need and everything you´ll need:)
Welcome to our Kiez :) We´re offering our whole apartment for a one time short term rental while we´re exploring Sweden with our newly bought old Volvo stationwagon :). The apartment measures 95 square metres, has two bedrooms, one living room, a kitchen with a cute breakfast nook and balcony (perfect for smoking, morning coffee or a beer in the evening). Our flat is a classic Berlin "Altbau" with high ceilings, large windows and wooden floors throughout. The second bedroom facing the courtyard measures about 30 square metres (300 square feet) and is very quiet plus it gets the morning sun. Both bedrooms are furnished with a queen size bed (140x200cm). We provide towels and sheets so you do not have to bring those. A hair-dryer is provided as well. We provide wireless internet, theres a bike rental in the basement of our house if you need a bike (something around 8€ a day) and kitchen which you're welcome to get comfortable in. The one kitchen rule however is that no animal products be cooked there. i´m a dedicated (but luckily very unannoying) vegan and while its of course totally cool for you to eat as you please while not in the house, meat, dairy, eggs and other animal products are not welcome in the kitchen. Our couch in the living-room can be turned into a bed where two more people can sleep on comfortably.
Please contact me before you send your booking-request. thanks!
Also I kindly ask you to please complete your profile on Airbnb and upload a photo of you before you´re going to book.
The rental includes our whole apartment. (2 beedrooms, 1 livingroom, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, hallway).

Kreuzkoelln is a made up term for the small area between Kreuzberg and Neukoelln that people are forever trying to classify as one or the other. Its our favorite part of Berlin, especially in the summer! The Turkish market is just around the corner as is the Landwerk Canal, which is the heart of this area. its got numerous spots to hang out and read, play bocci ball, and drink beers in the sun or at the river. At night the neighborhood is full of bars and nice restaurants. Traditionally this area has been predominantly Turkish and so with the past few years influx of young hip creatives things have really changed, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Make sure to embrace both sides of the area and check out your hip neighbours at the flea market but then go eat a turkish feast later in the night ;)
Our subway-station "U bahn Schoenleinstrasse" is at the end of the street (just 2-3 minutes walk) and its on the best line in town, the U8, so you're perfectly connected to the center of town, Mitte and Prenzlauerberg.
The one kitchen rule however is that no animal products be cooked there. i´m a dedicated (but luckily very unannoying) vegan and while its of course totally cool for you to eat as you please while not in the house, meat, dairy, eggs and other animal products are not welcome in the kitchen.

Ein überaus toller Gastgeber! Auch die Räumlichkeiten waren ausgezeichnet. Alles wie beschrieben, sehr gerne wieder!
Since Hendrik describes his apartment as minimalist I also decided to be sharing my experience in his house. He is the best. I totally recommend!!!

Katies Blue Cat offers some of Berlins best coffee as well as a variety of great (though not vegan) baked goods. The staff is really sweet and the shop looks great as well.Friedelstraße Berlin Berlin 12047
This place offers the greatest Arabic I have ever eaten. This definitely is a must-try and you should tell them that you want your bread warm! Also: For 30Cents a bread you can´t go wrong! :)Kottbusser Damm Berlin Berlin 10967
Apparently one of Berlin´s best Sushi-places and rather affordable. Keep in mind though, that Musashi is a really small place and therefor often crowded, they do serve takeaway-food though.Kottbusser Damm Berlin Berlin 10967
Cute little bar right next to the river with a Hamburg naval feeling to it. Rather cheap as well.Kottbusser Damm Berlin 10967
One of the bars i really like to go to from time to time. The folks are friendly and not annoying, the overall atmosphere is quite nice.Planufer Berlin Berlin 10967
The best organic store in the area, about 12 min away by foot from my place. This place isn´t cheap but they offer a good variety of local, organic and vegan foods (e.g. fake meats)Reichenberger Straße Berlin Berlin 10999
Good and affordable local organic store. The local alternative to Bio Company at Kottbusser Damm.Weserstraße Berlin Berlin 12047
Hands down best breakfast (also best vegan one) breakfast in the neighborhood. SO GOOD.Reichenberger Straße Berlin Berlin 10999
This is a great pizza place where they serve pizza by the slice (vegan options). Additionally they offer great pizza syrups which you have to try as well as uncommon American softdrinks ;)Dieffenbachstraße Berlin 10967
Wiener Blut is a nice hangout to grab a few drinks in one of their little corners once it gets dark. They also regularly broadcast German soccer games in case you dig it ;)Wiener Straße Berlin Berlin 10999
The Yellow Sunshine is a great place for vegetarian and vegan fastfood: burgers, gyros, plates, vegan currywurst, tasty sweets cakes: This is a must-go for the animal-friendly traveler.Wiener Straße Berlin Berlin 10999
Görlitzer Park is THE hangout-spot when it´s warm. It may not be the prettiest park but it´s def. a huge meeting-point for locals, may it be to sit in the sun, have drinks or barbeque.Görlitzer- / Wiener Straße Berlin Berlin 10997
This is one of my favorite bars at the moment. The place is quite big with high ceilings, beautiful rough walls and old wooden furniture bar. I also really enjoy the crowd that´s hanging out there.Weichselstraße Berlin Berlin 12045
The Ä kinda started the whole Weserstraßen-hype that´s going on right now. Nice bar, nice atmosphere, good rates. Cheers.Weserstraße Berlin Berlin 12045
The Tier is one of my favorite bars. Full Stop. Great atmosphere, insanely huge windows. Everytime I walk in there, I feel like i´m on vacation. Take yourself or some friends!Weserstraße Berlin Berlin 12045
