Welcome to Berlin! I´m offering the guest room of my apartment for short term rentals. My apartment is 95m2, with two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen with breakfast nook and balcony. You´ll be sharing the apartment with me. As you can see from the images the apartment is a classic Berlin "Altbau" with high ceilings, large windows and wooden floors throughout. The room on offer is about 30m2 (300 square feet) and faces the courtyard (which means its very quiet and gets the morning sun) and is furnished with a queen size bed (140x200cm), desk, chair, some storage for your things underneath the bed and a branch on which you can hang your clothing. I provide towels and sheets so you do not have to bring those. A hair-dryer is provided as well. Ive got wireless internet that you re welcome to use, theres a bike rental store downstairs if you need a bike (something around 8€ a day) and kitchen which you're welcome to get comfortable in. The one kitchen rule however is that no animal products be cooked there. i´m a dedicated (but luckily very unannoying) vegan and while its of course totally cool for you to eat as you please while not in the house, meat, dairy, eggs and other animal products are not welcome in the kitchen. Also I reserve my right to use the living-room by myself at times, e.g. in the evening should I have friends visiting or I just need some time to relax. Thanks for your understanding! :)
Kreuzkolln is a made up term for the small area between Kreuzberg and Neukolln that people are forever trying to classify as one or the other. Its my favorite part of Berlin especially in the summer! The Turkish market is just around the corner as is the Landwerk Canal, which is the heart of this area. its got numerous spots to hang out and read, play bocci ball, and drink beers in the sun and at night the neighborhood is full of bars. Traditionally this area has been predominantly Turkish and so with the past few years influx of young hip creatives things have really changed, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Make sure to embrace both sides of the area and check out your good looking neighbors at the flea market but then go eat a turkish feast later in the night. U bahn Schoenleinstrasse is at the end of the street and its on the best line in town, the U8, so you're very well connected to the center of town, Mitte and Prenzlauerberg.
check-in mostly flexible (just ask) / check-out until 11.00AM unless we agreed otherwise.
please check my calender above for availability and contact me before you send your booking-request. thanks!
I kindly ask you to please complete your profile on Airbnb and upload a photo of you before you´re going to book.
Perfect location, clean and bright room and very friendly host who leaves you do your things!
Hendrik's flat is uber cool and is in the best area of Berlin with loads of great bars, cafes, shops and galleries a short stagger away. Hendrik is also lovely and offers great advice about good places to go. Definitely recommend it to anyone.
We loved staying at Hendrik's place - stylish, spacious and filled with natural light. The apartment itself is a rarity and has a fascinating history. Our stay could not have been more enjoyable. Hendrik is an awesome guy too - charismatic, funny, knowledgeable, respectful and tells a great story. Thanks for everything Hendirk! We'd love to come back. Take care and hope to see you in Sydney someday :)
Henrik was an excellent host (really nice, friendly, and helpful) and I loved staying at his beautiful apartment. Everything about my stay was great. I highly recommend staying here!
Hendrik is a genuine human being and a lovely host. I would stay here again. Nice apartment in a relaxed neighborhood.
We had a fantastic stay with Hendrik. The room is quiet, spacious and the bed very comfy. He had great suggestions for places to eat and shop which was really helpful. Highly recommend!

Hendrik is a good host, helpful and quiet.
The position is perfect, we have loved to stay in Kreuzkolln, there are a lot of cafe bar, restaurant and nice shop.
We suggest absolutely this home!
I stayed at Hendrik's with a friend for three nights and it couldn't have gone better. He's a helpful and nice host, the room is spacious, clean and full of light, the neighborhood charming and well-connected with the public transport. 100% recommend it.
This place is absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect, 2 seconds from the underground, typical tree lined Berlin street and the building is pre war with all original features. Really great bike hire next door, which is the best way to get around, for €7 per day.
Hendrick was the perfect host, really great guy- we want to move in!
Thank you! And see you again soon we hope!
