About this listing
We´re renting our personal apartment starting July 28th until August 12th because we´ll be exploring Sweden :) Our home is comfortable, quite and cozy. It´s not a hotel, neither is it perfect but it has everything we need and everything you´ll need:)
Welcome to our Kiez :) We´re offering our whole apartment for a one time short term rental while we´re exploring Sweden with our newly bought old Volvo stationwagon :). The apartment measures 95 square metres, has two bedrooms, one living room, a kitchen with a cute breakfast nook and balcony (perfect for smoking, morning coffee or a beer in the evening). Our flat is a classic Berlin "Altbau" with high ceilings, large windows and wooden floors throughout. The second bedroom facing the courtyard measures about 30 square metres (300 square feet) and is very quiet plus it gets the morning sun. Both bedrooms are furnished with a queen size bed (140x200cm). We provide towels and sheets so you do not have to bring those. A hair-dryer is provided as well. We provide wireless internet, theres a bike rental in the basement of our house if you need a bike (something around 8€ a day) and kitchen which you're welcome to get comfortable in. The one kitchen rule however is that no animal products be cooked there. i´m a dedicated (but luckily very unannoying) vegan and while its of course totally cool for you to eat as you please while not in the house, meat, dairy, eggs and other animal products are not welcome in the kitchen. Our couch in the living-room can be turned into a bed where two more people can sleep on comfortably.
Please contact me before you send your booking-request. thanks!
Also I kindly ask you to please complete your profile on Airbnb and upload a photo of you before you´re going to book.
The rental includes our whole apartment. (2 beedrooms, 1 livingroom, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, hallway).

Kreuzkoelln is a made up term for the small area between Kreuzberg and Neukoelln that people are forever trying to classify as one or the other. Its our favorite part of Berlin, especially in the summer! The Turkish market is just around the corner as is the Landwerk Canal, which is the heart of this area. its got numerous spots to hang out and read, play bocci ball, and drink beers in the sun or at the river. At night the neighborhood is full of bars and nice restaurants. Traditionally this area has been predominantly Turkish and so with the past few years influx of young hip creatives things have really changed, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Make sure to embrace both sides of the area and check out your hip neighbours at the flea market but then go eat a turkish feast later in the night ;)
Our subway-station "U bahn Schoenleinstrasse" is at the end of the street (just 2-3 minutes walk) and its on the best line in town, the U8, so you're perfectly connected to the center of town, Mitte and Prenzlauerberg.

Ein überaus toller Gastgeber! Auch die Räumlichkeiten waren ausgezeichnet. Alles wie beschrieben, sehr gerne wieder!
We had a very comfortable stay at Hendriks place, he was a super helpful and relaxed host! We can definitely recommend!
Since Hendrik describes his apartment as minimalist I also decided to be sharing my experience in his house. He is the best. I totally recommend!!!
