Hôte très agréable, discret et disponible. L'appartement correspondait tout à fait aux photos et descriptif fait par l'hôte. Très bien situé, proche du métro et de Manhattan. Quartier populaire, très sympas. Pas déçu du séjour.
CONNOR WAS SIMPLY AWESOME!
Here's the whole story:
I was traveling from Atlanta to Brooklyn, I made a promise to myself to visit New York before the summer ended, so I did. The only drawback was I waited too long to book my AirBnB. Connor's place was the FIRST location I wanted to book, September 24th, by the time I got ready to book, the second day I needed, September 26th, was blocked out. It was my own fault. Nevertheless, I reached out to Connor and we worked out a deal so that I'd at least have a place to stay upon arriving to New York.
Connor's place was PERFECT! Located LITERALLY minutes from the train station, the neighborhood has a fresh market around one corner, a health food store with fresh juices and smoothies around the other corner, a SUPER DELICIOUS Indian restaurant just a few blocks away...I was VERY pleased! And Connor was SO accommodating! For this to be a last minute booking, he was very open and pleasant. He put out another bed for my friend who was traveling with me, he gave us a complete run down of the area, menus to local restaurant, AND he's VEGAN! Since I'm vegan that's a BIG DEAL! :-D It was truly a delightful visit.
I must mention, I traveled from Atlanta to NY via Greyhound, after 19 hours of travel, I seriously "smelled like the day" *lol* my body was in need of some SERIOUS yoga which I wanted to do prior to showering so I could be fresh and stretched. Upon starting my yoga practice, Connor placed tea on his kitchen counter in the event my friend and I wanted tea after our practice. How thoughtful is that!? ^_^
The second day we were there, Connor allowed us to leave our bags in his apartment while we trooped around the city to eat and find another place to stay. Oh, and I can't forget to mention, we wanted to wash our travel clothes and Connor let us use his laundry detergent, dryer sheets, AND laundry card. Connor was the ABSOLUTE best!
Whenever I visit Brooklyn again, I look forward to booking with Connor. 3
Connor was a great host, he gave us a lot of good advices. He was very respectful of his guests' privacy. And the apartment was great and very clean. Thanks !
Conner is a great host! He not only opened his home to me, but provided me with emails listing things to do and places to eat, as well as showed me around the area a little and told me about some good places according to what I liked. His home is cozy, and the area is not swanky, but I felt safe. Though there was no A/C, the fans he provided made it comfortable, even though the hallways and elevator were quite muggy. If you are not particularly snooty about your habitation, this is a fantastic place to stay. The food, stores, and scenery within walking distance are great and the subway ride to the city is convenient and not too long. The laundry facilities in the basement were a plus, and Conner provided plenty of towels. I was pleased to not have cable, and when I wanted to watch something on the TV, the hookups he left were easy to utilize for my laptop. I would stay again. His response time and hospitality was A++.
We loved our stay with Conner. He is a kind and gracious host with a beautiful apartment. The curtains provided ample privacy- he even divided his studio into three 'bedrooms'. to accommodate all of us. He recommended several activities and places to us that we very much enjoyed, and was always interested to hear what we had done that day. I liked the neighborhood very much, short commute to Manhattan, close to convenient subway stop- lots to look at, never felt uncomfortable walking by myself.
Conner as a host and his lovely apartment greatly exceeded our expectations. We have only good things to say about our stay with him.
Originally from Europe, I have lived and worked in New York City for more than 8 years and know the city's neighborhoods very well. I am a lawyer by training (of the good kind), and have a varied work and cultural background.
I am always glad to help with tips and suggestions for NYC restaurants, entertainment, coffee shops, museums, theater and music, as well as cheap places to shop and eat, and unique local places to experience.
My check-in and check-out times for the apartment are highly flexible. I always ensure your privacy is respected, and I will do my utmost to ensure you enjoy your stay.
