Nyoman Astana Bungalow has 3 private rooms in 1 location. All 3 rooms are lovely with hot and cold water included.
Each room has fan and a private terrasse over looking into a green tropical garden.
Astana's Bungalow is close to many tourist attractions of Bali including Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, and Ubud Traditional Market. Staying in this area you will get many Rice field views and have access to all the Great Balinese Food.
The house features bedrooms, basic outdoor kitchen, and bathroom. The design of the bungalow is simple yet functional. It is built in a Balinese-style architecture with a nice garden and greenery views for you to enjoy.
The neighbourhood is quiet and the bungalow is nestled in a secluded area far from the crowded traffic in Bali. You will certainly feel the comfort and truly get to experience living the local Balinese lifestyle. Last but not least, Nyoman Astana's Bungalows in Dusun Kalah, is simply a quiet and inexpensive place to stay.
Feel free to message me if you have questions about the bungalow.
I didn't end up staying here as had to finish holiday early. But I did find that with my booking and email questions prior to arrival, and with my cancellation, Made was very responsive and helpful with her replies. I would be happy to book again if I head back to Ubud.
The Nyoman Astana Bungalow in a word? Its very atmospheric, its tucked away from all the action on monkey forest road and Jalan Hanuman but is a good easy 20 min walk to anywhere in Ubud proper. I loved its proximity to ARMA and its quiet almost meditative calm.
Made and her family are sweet and discreet and allow you your privacy (make great breakfasts too!)
The atmosphere comes at a cost- the Bungalow is old and has very beautiful Balinese adornment in all the rooms, but the bathrooms leave much to be desired, with ancient plumbing and semi-functional everything else.
All in all I enjoyed my stay in Ubud and was glad to have a homely place to come back to.
