2 - the Anacapa Suite
If you’re looking for a truly nostalgic Airstream experience, then this is your hotel suite. As the 1959 sales brochure said, “Since 1932, Airstream has been the luxurious home away from home.” The 1959 Airstream Overlander 26’ is a real star in our vintage Airstream series with its generous sleeping accommodations for four. The floorplan is all-original with a rear bath that includes a mini-tub, sink, and full-height toilet. The home-style water heater provides ample hot water storage for a nice warm shower.
Late ‘50s design meets modern functionality in a kitchen that offers appliances that include a double stainless sink, commercial-style sprayer faucet, water filter, soap dispenser, convection microwave and refrigerator/freezer. The classic dining nook, with two booth-style seats facing each other, is the perfect place to share a meal, work or play card games.

Comfy bed(s), luxurious and spacious bathroom, WiFi, excellent location -- close to many restaurants, grocery store, bakeries, and cafes. Felt like urban camping, but more comfortable. Rode the cruiser bikes a couple of times -- a great plus!
We had a wonderful time in the Airstream... a piece of our American Dream. The self check in was very easy. We stayed in the Airstream #1, and once you are inside it is hard to believe that you are not in a appartment, everything is beautiful, the bed room, the kitchen and the bath room. even the second bed (the couch) was very comfy.
We enjoyed the bikes very much...going down hill :-) But hey no worries Santa Barbara is not as steep as San Fransisco.
These Airstream catch a lot of interest, so we had to answer some questions of enthousiasts passing by. The only problem we had, since the #1 is located behind a wall that separates you from the sidewalk, is the privacy, a bit noisy... We had the chance to meet Neil one of the owners of SB Autocamp who stayed there for one night to check himself if everything was all right with the Airstreams. He was very nice and promised us that they would fix the privacy issue by planting higher an bigger bamboos to hide the guest from the street. Wich should indeed fix the issue. I highly recommend The SB Autocamp.
The trailer is very nice - however we did encounter some troubles during the stay. For instants the grill wasn't working and there weren't any lights on the bikes. The host was informed and was very professional about the complaints.
Loved staying at the auto camp! The airstream was super clean and comfortable, and perfect for Santa Barbara weather. The furnishings are great, and couldn't have asked for anything else. Thanks!
We absolutely loved our Airstream stay, the moment we walked in it took our breath away. It really was a tiny hotel suite, with everything we needed and even more. We had lovely rides on complimentary bikes, attended yoga classes right across the street and even cooked our own meals using the BBQ station. I would suggest everyone give it a try. Check -in process was easy, wifi worked perfectly. I would rate our stay eleven out of ten if I could. If you are a tourist in States, just like us, I truly believe there is nothing more authentic than staying in one of those cool Airstreams.
We had a great time in our well-maintained and well-stocked Airstream! I recommend going across the street to the Mexican bakery for morning treats and you *have* to go on a bike ride with your cruisers.
We LOVED this Airstream trailer. Nice and clean. Great location off the beaten path. We took the bicycles to the beach and had a great ride. We would come back in a heart beat!!
Very cozy and cute but missing a few basic amenities.
We enjoyed our stay at the Luxury AirStream. Its a fun place to stay and a good neighborhood to hang out in San Diego thats near everything.
We loved our stay in the Airstream. I've always wanted to stay in one and this certainly didn't disappoint. It's definitely fancy 'camping/glamping'. The free standing bath is amazing. It was exceptionally clean, thoughtly designed and equipped with everything you need. Nice touches included a iPod dock, lovely toiletries, robes and a very, very comfy bed. We slept incredibly well despite being close to the road. The free bikes were great too, we made good use of them and cycled down to the sea which was really fun. There was even a filtered water tap. I didn't want to leave.
