2 - the Anacapa Suite
If you’re looking for a truly nostalgic Airstream experience, then this is your hotel suite. As the 1959 sales brochure said, “Since 1932, Airstream has been the luxurious home away from home.” The 1959 Airstream Overlander 26’ is a real star in our vintage Airstream series with its generous sleeping accommodations for four. The floorplan is all-original with a rear bath that includes a mini-tub, sink, and full-height toilet. The home-style water heater provides ample hot water storage for a nice warm shower.
Late ‘50s design meets modern functionality in a kitchen that offers appliances that include a double stainless sink, commercial-style sprayer faucet, water filter, soap dispenser, convection microwave and refrigerator/freezer. The classic dining nook, with two booth-style seats facing each other, is the perfect place to share a meal, work or play card games.

This was the most wonderful experience I've ever had! The airstream was so clean and beautiful. The cute little knick knacks just made it home. I love that there was fresh local coffee available and all the kitchen utensils you need to make a masterpiece meal. All instructions were super clear so there was no confusion upon arrival. Additionally, the location has so many restaurants nearby as well as grocery stores. Literally, walking distance! My boyfriend and I rode our bikes to downtown Santa Barbara (State St) and had a wonderful time strolling and enjoyed brunch at a local restaurant.
I cannot recommend this more! One word of advice, there's a carniceria nearby. Get your bbq meats there! So good! Thanks Christi for a wonderful time! Definitely will be back.
We had a wonderful stay at Airstream 2! Christi was very welcoming and accommodating, everything was clean and we slept better than we had in a long time! We also loved touring SB on the cruiser bikes provided. Was a fun experience, especially if you want something more unique than a hotel. Would definitely consider staying there again next time we visit.

About the Host, Autocamp, LLC
A unique, nightly Airstream lodging experience in the heart of Santa Barbara, California.
The Santa Barbara Auto Camp started as an idea. An architect and a businessman came together by their mutual interest in functional, beautiful design and their shared love of vintage Airstreams. And so it was born, the Santa Barbara Auto Camp – a place where old meets new.
Well, reborn actually; the Santa Barbara Auto Camp has been operating continuously in the heart of Santa Barbara since 1922. To celebrate more than 90 years of operation at the Auto Camp, we brought on a set of beautifully-restored vintage Airstreams for nightly rental.
We are Santa Barbara locals. We love the great outdoors. And above all, we love the nostalgia and timelessness of Airstreams.
