  • We had such an incredible time at Captibs Cabin, it was so secluded and had the most amazing view of the Sunday sail boats on the water. I recommend this to anyone wanting a getaway back to natures surrounds. It was well heated and had such luxurious beds that made you want to sleep in all day! Joe was very helpful in providing information on the house and promptly answering my frequent questions, would definetly come again :)

  • We loved our time on Bruny Island and this house provided a great place for us to escape to. Our host Ange was very welcoming and thought of little things that made our time enjoyable. Beds were comfy. Views are spectacular across the water and really made it a fantastic place to stay.
It was a very short walk down (a steep!!! hill) to the small sheltered beach and along to the Jetty Cafe which was warm and inviting (and had the essentials like bread and milk and a few other supplies).
I don't say this to discourage anyone, we would go back, but don't expect a fancy luxury cottage in top condition. The house is old and has lots of character, it's comfortable and a warm sun trap in the afternoon but take a jumper as it gets a bit cold overnight.
