1 - the Santa Rosa Suite
This 1973 Airstream Sovereign is fully restored by Architect Matthew Hofmann. This thoughtfully designed vintage trailer sits on a grassy park like space at the Santa Barbara Auto Camp in the heart of Santa Barbara. Its polished aluminum shining, the inside of this trailer is elegant yet cozy, offering a pleasant and unique experience that is sure to please any visitor. We like to call it glamorous camping – 'glamping' for short!

We had a wonderful time in the Airstream... a piece of our American Dream. The self check in was very easy. We stayed in the Airstream #1, and once you are inside it is hard to believe that you are not in a appartment, everything is beautiful, the bed room, the kitchen and the bath room. even the second bed (the couch) was very comfy.
We enjoyed the bikes very much...going down hill :-) But hey no worries Santa Barbara is not as steep as San Fransisco.
These Airstream catch a lot of interest, so we had to answer some questions of enthousiasts passing by. The only problem we had, since the #1 is located behind a wall that separates you from the sidewalk, is the privacy, a bit noisy... We had the chance to meet Neil one of the owners of SB Autocamp who stayed there for one night to check himself if everything was all right with the Airstreams. He was very nice and promised us that they would fix the privacy issue by planting higher an bigger bamboos to hide the guest from the street. Wich should indeed fix the issue. I highly recommend The SB Autocamp.
We LOVED this Airstream trailer. Nice and clean. Great location off the beaten path. We took the bicycles to the beach and had a great ride. We would come back in a heart beat!!
Very cozy and cute but missing a few basic amenities.
We enjoyed our stay at the Luxury AirStream. Its a fun place to stay and a good neighborhood to hang out in San Diego thats near everything.
We loved our stay in the Airstream. I've always wanted to stay in one and this certainly didn't disappoint. It's definitely fancy 'camping/glamping'. The free standing bath is amazing. It was exceptionally clean, thoughtly designed and equipped with everything you need. Nice touches included a iPod dock, lovely toiletries, robes and a very, very comfy bed. We slept incredibly well despite being close to the road. The free bikes were great too, we made good use of them and cycled down to the sea which was really fun. There was even a filtered water tap. I didn't want to leave.
Looking for an alternative hip place to call home, this is it.
In a great location and the bikes that are included are clutch to exploring all Santa Barbara has to offer.
The Airstream was simple, clean, and expertly designed!
This is the largest Airstream 31" out of 5 on the lot and includes a claw bathtub.
However, it is also located directly next to the street and since the trailer is "Shiny and New" it draws a lot of attention. If you're not interested in socializing with curious passerbys, I would suggest another one on the lot.
Great concept and Idea!
