I had to leave this place 4 days before my contract was up. They refused to reimburse my money at least for those days because my Husband booked the room on his card as a gift for me, And because he wasn't with me its considered a third party. this place was Filthy, The odors were appalling, The heat Oppressive. Worst Place EVER!!!!!!!

It took a while to find the place because the outside looked like an old warehouse which threw us off. There were no lights once you got in the entrance we had to use our phones to light the way at night. Everything was was great! Just needs more light and maybe a picture of the building entrance so we know what we're looking for! ( not you average apartment building ) very spacious inside the unit, lots of light during the day!

Loved it! This place is huge and the bedroom doors close for privacy if you have more than 2 guests. Melrose is amazing for shopping, eating and meeting people. It can get loud at night so I think it might better suit younger couples and friends, rather than families. I slept on the couch and it was amazing. Also all of the pop art and caricuatures all over the property give it some real kitsch character.

An amazing location. A very walkable neighbourhood. Angie's place was spacious, clean and tidy. A comfortable place to stay amidst a lots of action! One thing to note: the windows lets in noise from the streets. It's not too loud at night, but I found it more comfortable to sleep with earplugs, but my friend was fine sleeping without them. Thank you for hosting!

Great little place for a short stay. No kitchen at all though so plan accordingly. Can hear light music from downstairs all day long

The flat is ideally located on Melrose avenue. Great area for shopping, dining and bars. The building is old but kinda cool and some neighbours a bit sketchy (a lot of coming and going...). The flat is spacious and the view is nice. But then it's extremely noisy. The windows are old and don't open or close very easily. One window got stuck and we actually had to go online to see how to take it apart. The weights were stuck. Not really in L.A to do construction work but we managed. Insulation is 0. We eventually stuffed all the windows with paper to try to insulate as much as possible. The windows don't protect from noise and cold at all!!! There's just a tiny electrical heater for the whole flat and it was cold in L.A while we were there. The heater was on almost non stop to try to warm the place but was pretty useless. Unfortunately while we were there it rained quite a bit and there was a leak in the ceiling. Lucky I hadn't left my laptop on the table. We were there for 5 weeks and there was no vacuum cleaner. Useless to say it would have been nice to be able to clean up a bit but there wasn't even a broom. So we ended up being visited by a couple of cockroaches and dust bunnies. The apartment is supposed to be able to welcome 4 people (we were 3) but there isn't even enough silverware and cups for 4 people. The kitchen is rudimentary. Just a former cupboard turned into a kitchen with a micro wave, a tiny fridge and a coffee machine. We bought a hot plate at the thrift store for 15 bucks. I'm pretty sure the owner could make such an investment. Basically a cool flat, well located but in need of a lot of renovation. For 3 days it's fine, for 5 weeks it's really rudimentary.
