Great house for a large party, great location as well with excellent restaurants and bars walking distance. The street car is also very close from the house. We were a party of 6 staying at the house for a few days and we had ample space, we could have had another 10 people staying over. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Overall we had a very pleasant stay in a quiet neighborhood, away form the noise but close and conveniently located to get to core of New Orleans.
The house and neighbourhood exceeded our expectations. Staying at Dante was a great way to experience the Uptown area and see more of the city riding the trolley into the downtown area each day.
Room sizes and amenities were excellent.
Hosts were good to correspond with although I didn't get the chance to meet them in person.
Joseph the property manager and Suzanne the homeowner were absolutely the most gracious hosts I could have imagined for my group and me. We came in for a friends wedding but really had more of a bachelor party type crowd assembled, but there was more than enough space for us all to sleep comfortably and socialize all over the house. There were also snacks for us when we arrived - which was amazing for the later comers - and the key code access was absolutley perfect for our large group. Both Joseph and Suzanne were very accommodating and accessible and gave great recommendations in the neighborhood and around town. We loved sitting and socializing on the second floor porch and got some great pictures as we prepared for the wedding. The house is in a great neighborhood, safe feeling and attractive, and one of the highlights of the trip was getting the whole group of 15 of us together, dressed to the nines, and riding the nearby street car to the French quarter when it was finally time for the wedding (it takes about 50 minutes or 20 by cab). This was my first time using Airbnb but I would certainly use the service again and could only hope to have an experience half as good as this one.
I loved the location of this house near Carrollton and St Charles. very good neighborhood for New Orleans that made it easy to get everywhere without being in the crowds. The house is spacious with a nice common area with a petite kitchen which actually became a great central get together area for everyone staying there in my group as well as became the focus of some energetic late night card games. Suzanne and Joe communicated well via text and phone and made us feel very welcome. This house would be great for a group coming to any of the New Orleans events.
This is a great place to stay, especially for big parties! Plenty of room for everyone & close to everything. Joseph is readily available to take care of any issues that may come up. We thoroughly enjoyed our French Quarter Fest get together!
Perfect house for a big group of people looking for a place to stay and have a good time in New Orleans. Tons of beds, and a cool old house.
The location is great, right in the heart of Uptown/Carrolton, and very close to the garden district. Some great restaurants and bars very nearby. Close to the trolley line.
The hosts, Joseph and Suzanne, are very accommodating and very chill.
A great experience.
We had a short but sweet stay at this Dante House. There was 10 of us for 3 nights and we all slept like babies. The beds are so comfortable, we couldn't get over how good they all felt, we loved the sheets. We loved all the boutiques on Oak Street and highly recommend Mellow Mushrooms pizza. Awesome. The streetcar is so close and handy to catch. We made several trips to French Quarter and enjoyed the trip down St. Charles Ave. on the way there. Only complaint was the cold weather we got, but that is uncontrollable.
Thanks Jodie, "Awesome" was how clean you all left the home! I ask Guests to police their own trash to curbside and strip only the sheets off of the beds that they have used. This helps us to keep our Cleaning Fees low! The Street Car is my favorite too since the increased elevation allows riders the best view of the St. Charles mansions. Did your Boys get in to the Dome to see the New Orleans Saints cinch our spot in the playoffs for the SuperBowl? Y'all hurry back now ya hear! R U planning a trip to New Orleans, be sure to ask about our Spring/Summer Discount Rates. Jodie, I promise the next time y'all come I will turn up the thermostat! International Guest Alert: be sure to upgrade your phone service to receive calls from New Orleans.

About the Host, Joseph
I came to New Orleans 10 months after Hurricane Katrina for the restoration effort. I enjoy the Seafood and Music and would not even think about leaving New Orleans. I mange a large group of properties for Dr. Suzanne Chabaud. You might be familiar with Dr. Chabaud since she is the TV Psychotherapist for the A & E Hit series on Hoarding.
