  • Leticia is quite simply the sweetest host one could hope for. She welcomes you to her home with open arms as she greets you with a hug upon arrival. Leticia quickly puts you at ease with her comfortable way and delicious cooking. After only a few days I'm sure that I've made a friend for life.
    Thanks for everything Leticia!

  • If you want to feel the San Diego Life Style, Pacific Beach is the place to be, and Leticia is a great Host! She really made our stay the best ! The apartment is convenient, 5 min from the Beach...We had a great time.
    Thank you Leticia! :)

  • Had a wonderful experience here, Leticia made adorable breakfasts for us, and helped us a lot. The rooms were attracting and I will be back one day.

  • Truly nice place to stay in PB, the room & apartment looked exactly as in the pictures. Leticia was always happy to give recommendations on what to see or do in the area, or show you around herself / going out, or doing sports together – a really great host! While it was admittedly not the cheapest option to stay at, it was definitely worth it. If you are looking for a place in PB with vicinity to the ocean, this is the place to be.

  • Leticia was more than accommodating. Very close to the beach and some lovely cafés. We thoroughly enjoyed her sweet apartment and San Diego!

  • If you’re ever looking for a place to stay while in Sunny San Diego, you have no need to look any further! I moved in with Leticia in September 2013, and stayed until December of the same year; and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home while in America.

Leticia’s house is in the perfect location; with the beach, grocery shop and the amazing Garnet Street just a few blocks away. 7/11 is also only block away, for when you’re craving a movie, or a late-night snack after studying all night.

Leticia’s house is the perfect balance of peace, quiet and comfort. Her house is filled with goodies from all over the world, which make for incredible stories! Leticia has done an amazing amount of travelling, and her and I got to share some amazing stories with one another, and also encouraged each other to visit new places!

Leticia is more than willing to share her great stories, grab a bite to eat, or show you around her beautiful city, when she’s not running around changing the world! I got to share many a sunset with her, as well as meet some new and interesting people via her. I was lucky enough to attend one of her Toast Masters meetings, where I got to share my stories of my year of travelling with insightful and genuinely interested people – what a treat!

Leticia has an amazing family, who I was very lucky to spend some time with on occasion, including her father who visited from Brazil while I was living with her. A gracious family who absolutely insisted that I come to Brazil for the World Cup in 2014, where the whole family will be meeting up. If you ever want a family away from home – you’ll find it here!

Leticia is an amazing woman, with great ambition, but also the biggest heart! She inspired me to grit my teeth and study for my SATs (while she was studying for her GMAT), but also inspired me to not take life too seriously! She is a woman of great courage, and selflessness, who would give you the clothes on her back if you needed it. She really touched my heart, and the small adventures we took when she had time off of work will always have a place in my heart!

In only three months, Leticia has become one of my best friends, and I hope to share many more adventures with her, whether it be back in San Diego, in Brazil, or in my hometown in South Africa! The only negative thing I have to say is – if I‘m in town, you might have to find somewhere else to stay, because I refuse to live anywhere else!

All my love Leti! Hope you get to meet plenty more amazing people, and I hope they are just as inspired by you as I am!

  • After spending a month with Leticia, I knew I couldn't chose a better place to spend my birthday! ... so I made a point to go back to San Diego from Los Angeles! Surprise, surprise ... Leticia and her friends greeted me with homemade treats and little gifts (besides a nice card and the typical SPA flair on my bed: white towels, tiny hotel toiletries, flowers and a starfish.) I wish I could post the video here so you could see how amazing my birthday was ... we sang happy birthday in at least 4 different languages! Thank you so much Leticia for everything, really! I can't wait to come back again!
I want to send you this review right away but since time is limited (I'm still on the road) I'll be copying here my previous review (I hope you don't mind ... everything was the same for me ... if not better!! I really feel home at the "ZenCottage"!! And I love being around you!!) ... Here is the copy of my previous review: "first of all I made a new friend, a real one! A friend that helps me in every situation! Listens to me and figures out how she can help me! She really gives you the best tips for San Diego: where you should go for dinner, sightseeing, entertainment and sun (she knows about some pretty cool hidden beaches!) Besides she will really take the time to get to know you. Needless to say that we spent a lot of time together! Leticia kindly invited me everywhere she went. Not only she made me a local, she immediately introduced me to everyone. Through Leticia you can make so many friends! That's the best that could have ever happened to me!
Second, the apartment: it's just 5 minutes away from the beach! The best location ever! I love the beach and all things related, and I made the point to walk there everyday twice a day, for tanning and watching the sunset. Besides it's proximity to the beach, which comes with a nice cool breeze, the apartment is conveniently located to several shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and a laundromat (a few steps from her door) and a 24 hrs convenience store called 7-Eleven. The apartment itself was always very clean ... she cares about that very much! And it was very well decorated with cosy furniture, warm colors and atmosphere. Leticia has a great taste! Just look at the pictures! The apartment's rooms, kitchen and bathroom are exactly what they look like on the pictures ... and more!! The couch is so comfortable that once you sit on it you won't feel like getting up anymore!! Ah and the most important ... I'm very picky about bathrooms and beds ... but at Leticia's I felt at home!! Her bed is one of the comfortable beds I've ever slept on (hard to find that in a hotel), and the bathroom was immaculate clean!" See you soon!

  • When Airbnb sent me the link to review Leticia the first thing that came to my mind was "awesome friendship", and the second "awesome apartment". On that note, here is my review: first of all I made a new friend, a real one! A friend that helps me in every situation! Listens to me and figures out how she can help me! It looks like the house was decorated by an interior designer!! Just look at the pictures! The apartment's rooms, kitchen and bathroom are exactly what they look like on the pictures!
I think you won't need any television here in San Diego but if you do there are 2 huge LCD's in her apartment!!! Perfect to chill on a week night!!!! ...
Ich hatte eine unglaubliche und unvergessliche Zeit dort! Vermisse Leticia sehr und werde Sie bald wieder besuchen:)

  • Leticia and her home is just amazing and i'm glad that i was able to return for another stay.

Leticia herself is a wonderful host and there is nothing more you can expect. She always goes the extra mile for you and tries to make you feel comfortable at everytime of your stay.
As a PB local she knows great places in Pacific Beach to go. She also cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner, takes you to the best beaches around and is there for you if you need her, even if she is busy.
There is so much more to say about her but i recommend to make the experience on your own.

Leticia is easy to get along with and we had some great conversations and were joking around a lot. We became friends at my first stay and so for me it was a visit of a good friend.
I’m glad and pleased that I was able to meet her and again when it was time to leave it was kind a sad.

About her home I have just one word, AWESOME.
It is super clean, beautiful decorated and spreads that relaxing and charming ZEN vibe the pictures let you expect. It is so close to the beach (an easy 5min walk) and also to the nightlife at Garnet. Even downtown San Diego is just a short 20min drive away if you want to go to Gaslamp or Coronado Island. The neighborhood is very quiet, safe and friendly and there is a lot of free street parking if you have a car with you.

So if you ask me “should I stay at her place?”….”Of course, absolutely (but not at the same time I want to ;) )”
You will not find a better place and host in San Diego…California…maybe the entire US!

Hey Leticia hope to see you soon and keep in touch.
