The Space

This is a beautiful home in a perfect location in one of the best cities in the world! Private room, Jacuzzi, massage studio and massage therapist in the house!

You will have your own entrance which leads to your own private living room. Upstairs is your bedroom which has a very large bed that is built in to the wall. It is between a queen and a king size (its a weird size because it was custom built). There is also a very cute book nook area next to the bed with a window and reading lamp. There is a nice sized closet and plenty of room shelve space to fold clothes.

You will have a large bathroom with a jacuzzi! Unfortunately, you will not have a shower, but there is a shower head that pulls out of the jacuzzi so most people don't have a problem with standing in the tub and holding the shower head over them.

Beautiful back yard and patio where you can enjoy coffee in the morning, wine in the evening, or a smoke if you smoke.

A few things you need to know:
1st- There is a room underneath yours that is a massage studio. The plus side to this is that you are welcome to set up an appointment with her. Down side is that she does give about 1 or 2 massages a day, so when her door is closed, we just ask that you use your inside voices.
2nd- This is a very long, New Orleans style shotgun house. I live in the very front and my mother lives in the very back and we both have a completely separate entrance than you. The only space you will be sharing with us is the kitchen.
3rd- There is a tiny dog that lives with my mother named Popeye. He is a nine pound cockapoo, sweet as can be and completely hypoallergenic. You may see him once or twice but he will be confined to the back with my mom.

You will be located in walking distance to the french quarter, city park, fair gounds and coffee shops. Where my house is located, it is SO EASY to get anywhere in New Orleans! Very close to the Superdome, convention center, uptown and about 25 mins from the airport. If I'm not busy, I will gladly give you a ride and drop you off where ever you need to go.

I'm born and raised in New Orleans and LOVE (email hidden) so feel free to ask me any questions and I'll make sure you enjoy your stay here!

  • We met Diana and she was great showed us around there home. The room that we stayed in was clean. The room was comfortable and so was the bd. Coffee was given to us and we got to sit out on the back deck. Diana gave us great advice for different places for coffee and taxies if needed. Great place to stay close to the French Quater, the highway, the super dome, the convention center and colleges. Popeye was no harm. I would stay there again when I return to NOLA.

  • Staying at myisha was super nice! The room is actually pretty big and cosy, so it's perfect for couples. The hot tube in the bathroom is a definite plus as well.
The neighborhood looks a little adventurous, but is pretty close to the French quarter -so you can easily walk there in about 15 min.

Myisha herself was lovely. We ran into some troubles with the kitchen and even though she was out with friends watching America play the worldcup, she came home within a couple of minutes. Except from that she was a quiet host, that gave us the place basically to ourselves.

We had a great time, and if we decide to revisit New Orleans- we 'll def stay with her again :)

  • We enjoyed our stay at Mysisha's. She was very responsive via text and even offered to give us a ride from the bus stop to her place. Also, this AirBnB is a great value!

  • Thank you so much Myisha for a comfortable, convenient, and affordable stay in New Orleans! The room was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was a welcome escape from the humid weather. We appreciated your attentiveness and hospitality. Even when you were busy at work you made the time to check that we got in safely - so sweet and thoughtful! It was awesome meeting you the last day and hope to see you in the future!

  • We liked our stay in this home. It is very nice and cosy. Myisha, though we met only once, you were with us through all our stay in your tasty house. We saw you and your family on photos and felt that we became good friends.
    Best wishes,
    Marina and Andrey.

  • My experience staying here was just right! I was comfortable and enjoyed the jacuzzi tub more than once!! It was only a 12 minute drive to the convention center where I was working, so not bad in terms of a commute. Diana was very accommodating and helpful. She gave me a little bit of an orientation the first day and recommended some great restaurants. She even helped me by printing some business documents that I needed in a pinch. Overall it's a great value find. I will definitely stay here when in the area again.

  • Very cute place indeed and very close walk to the French Quarter. Myisha's mom waited up for us when we arrived and then showed us the whole place, including the super quaint and well decorated back patio/deck. Their little poodle pup, Popeye, is to die for and I did not hear a peep out of him at night even when we returned from dinner and drinks late at night. We were provided with umbrellas and ponchos which we used at Jazzfest and there was no problem getting a cab to come pick us up at 4am on the way out. I fell of the bed in the middle of the night on my way to turn down the A/C but other than that, no problems at all! We didn't get to meet Myisha but did get to take a bath in the lovely and huge bathroom. Bubble bath soap was provided along with super plush bathrobes and towels. Cajun Seafood is a couple blocks away which had the best poboy we had period. Willie Mae's was closed due to plumbing issues but that was a short walk as well! Thank you for the hospitality!

  • Myisha's place was PERFECT for us! The room upstairs was great for privacy and well ventilated enough so when it got super hot, it wasn't bad at all! Myisha and her mom were really sweet and were wonderful hosts. The neighborhood was perfect for us too. Off the beaten tourist path in real New Orleans. We would absolutely stay here again if we were to come back.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Myisha's, her place was funky, spacious, and very clean. The bedroom area had a comfortable loft bed and she provided lots of towels for the (huge) bathroom and tub. Myisha was very accommodating as we checked in late and left our bags an extra day. We would have stayed longer if it wasn't already booked, and we'd definitely come again!

Choreographer/ Bartender
I am a 28 year old bartender and a choreographer from New Orleans, LA. I LOVE to travel. I can't imagine living anywhere other than New Orleans, but I can't stay in one place for long so I love to take little weekend getaways. My favorite place in the states to visit is NYC, California or Seattle. I'm definitely a city girl who loves art, entertainment, music and the night life. I enjoy meeting new people over a nice cold drink, maybe one day I'll meet you! xo
