  • This was my very first airbnb experience, and it was great. The apartment was exactly as pictured. The space is very-well thought out, and nicely decorated. Paolo is good at this! He met us to give us the key, and had lots of information for us concerning parking, shopping and tourist sites.
The really nice thing about this apartment was how quiet it was. It was worth the hike up the hill to be able to stay in such a nice hideaway. I highly recommend this space.

  • The apartment was very cosy and very warm. It's location was beautiful as well. Paulo is very helpful.

  • We had a wonderful stay! This property is perfectly positioned and very well appointed. Though the apartment itself is very old it has been very tastefully updated while preserving the old world charm. The bathroom is very nice and new and we found everything we needed for our 3 day stay. (There were even things like shampoo & conditioner, paper towels, tea bags, and an electric kettle!) Paolo is a superb host. We actually arrived a bit earlier than expected but Paolo was already on site to greet us. He provided us with an orientation to both the apartment and the area, gave us restaurant recommendations (which were terrific!), provided us with maps and answered all of our questions. We had an afternoon train but nowhere to stow our bags. Paolo graciously allowed us a late check-out. We highly recommend both this apartment and host without reservation and would not hesitate to book this or one of Paolo's other properties the next time we are in Florence! Don't think twice . . . this is a great apartment.

  • We loved this beautiful apartment! It was super close to all the requisite sights of Florence, but up a charming hill full of gorgeous old homes that gave me a sense of the city I had never had before. Paolo was charming and friendly, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • Paolo loves Florence and wants to share his city with visitors.
The Romantic Hideaway is just off the hustle and bustle of the city. It was a great place to go to recharge. The bed is comfortable, the apartment is quiet (remember it is a city so it's not like the quiet of the country), the shower is very nice with plenty of hot water, and the kitchen has all the basics. The apartment itself is charming and tastefully decorated. Paolo supplies his own map with suggestions of his favorite restaurants and sights. He also has guide books on hand that add insights to the city. He was so helpful, from telling us the best place to park the car (no need for it in the city) and arranging a cab back to the car when we left. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful space.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Florence at Paolo's apartment. The location was great and Paolo went above and beyond working with our schedule to meet us at the apartment. Paolo was great and gave us some awesome recommendations for dinner. The apartment is in a great neighborhood close to everything but away from the crowds. My wife and I stayed for two nights but the apartment would make a great base for a much longer stay.

  • Paolo's apartment is so charming and cozy... perfect location and every comfort a traveler needs. Paolo was very welcoming and took time to give us an introduction to the area. An excellent host with an outstanding property.

  • I absolutely LOVED this apartment! It is so cute and looks just like the pictures, only BETTER since you can't see how cute the neighborhood is surrounding the apartment from the pictures. Even though it is across the bridge (i.e. a little farther from the train station and the city center), it is in a great location - very close to a supermarket and very very close to the ponte vecchio. Just FYI - it is about a 10 euro cab ride from the train station. It's also extremely quiet - you don't hear anyone else around you.
Just one note - I would not recommend this unit if you don't like climbing hills. The hill getting up to this apartment is a bit steep. We didn't mind though because it gave us a good workout!
Paolo was a wonderful host. He is very responsive and provides really good recommendations! I will ONLY stay at Paolo's apartments in Florence from now on.
    Grazie Paolo! :)
