About the Neighborhood
The South End is the trendiest part of Boston with great restaurants, bars, small shops and is well connected to the rest of the city.
The apartment is close to several major public transport stops including 3 blocks from Mass Ave Orange Line, 4 blocks from Symphony Green Line, and 2 blocks from SL4/SL5 Silver Line as well as right next to the #1 bus which runs along Mass Ave to Harvard. If you have a car there is non-permit street parking close by where overnight parking is permitted.
Perfect location. So many interesting places waiting just around the corner outside the main city, and a wonderful Jazz bar nearby. Not too far a walk to the city centre, with interesting sights along the way. Omar was extremely helpful and accommodating; this is a cool place. A great Boston experience!
My best friend and I stayed with Omar while we traveled to Boston this winter. He was very welcoming and being two young girls traveling alone, we felt totally safe. He provided us with lots of suggestions on places to go and a whole pile of maps and guide books. His place is also in a very charming part of Boston and nice and central. Would definitely stay with Omar again.
Omar was a very responsive host who made it an easy stay. His apartment is in a great location in the South End--a great Boston neighborhood with restaurants, bars, and shops. We were even able to leave our bags at the apartment until the late evening since our flight wasn't until 7p. Though the apartment is clean, it's not in immaculate condition. The bedroom and unit have a thermostat for comfortable temps and the wifi is fast. I enjoyed making a Nespresso in the morning too!
Omar was a great host! Really made us feel at home :)
This was the first time I used airbnb. I was at a conference that started at 8 and ended at 5 so I really needed to stay 2 nights. Omar was a gracious host and the experience was just what I expected from reading other reviews.
I would stay here again and recommend it to others
Nice room, two blocks from the orange line. Omar is a very nice guy with great nespresso.
This is the first (but not the last) time we stayed at Omar's. Location is convenient for catching buses, taxis or taking the subway. Very good Senagalese restaurant, two Dunkin' Donuts and nice convenience store within easy walking distance. Amazingly quiet, clean, comfortable mattresses, nice hot water, free wifi and expresso, laundry facilities, 1/2 and full bath, great kitchen, dining room and living room. Had information on Boston, transit system, local magazines to help us plan our time. Nice gentleman who took care to be very quiet when I was asleep. I am a woman and, for a while, was the only guest at Omar's; I felt perfectly comfortable sharing the space with him. I highly recommend this affordable "B and B."
Good short stay in private room on the top floor of a South End brownstone...plenty of stairs to climb. Omar was present at check-in and pointed out where I could find overnight street parking. Room was basic with comfortable bed and good wireless internet connection. Super clean apartment, great shower and bathrooms. Excellent location, great coffee maker and pleasant host. Thanks Omar.
Omar was a very good host. The room was big and comfortable, no complaints. He gave me a guide and map for Boston, which were very useful. Would gladly stay there again.
I was in Boston for Parent's Weekend at Northeastern and the location of this apartment was perfect. Omar was very helpful and the room was comfortable but a chair and perhaps some wall hooks for hanging things would have been helpful. Having an espresso in the morning out on the small balcony was very relaxing and a short cab ride to the airport was very easy.
