ther's no place like home
(if you watched LOST you know what i mean)
25 min apt from city centre. quite and funny (website hidden). good area. quite zone.
Nice student flat in rome. short period rent. internet and all the confort included. dishwasher, washing machine, tv, big balcony. people from all countries are welcome. bring your own wine :)
ambiente accogliente e rispettoso. rispettiamo le normali regole della convivenza, della pulizia, e della condivisione di spazi comuni.
Davide and his roomates's accomodation is well placed, clean and we really slept well in Davide's bedroom.
Indeed the flat is far from the noise of the city center but still is near the subway (5 bus stops from it, and there is a bus stop just 100 meters far from the flat).
We also met Matteo, Mahmoud, Nina and Mara, whose are really nice ! Moreover, they are discreet and respected our privacy.
The only "negative" thing I could say concerns buses ; be careful to inform you about their schedules (on sundays and by night) before coming.
To summarize, I seriously recommend to go to this place !
Thanks again guys !
Margot and Caroline.
Unfortunately we had to decline the booking the day before… I am really sorry about that and I hope, Dav was not annoyed because of it… So I couldn't get to know him, but he made a great effort in communication with us! Thank you=)
Very good experience at Dav's house. Everything was clean and in order. I knew great and nice people there. Highly recommend
First off, I think our experience would have been different if Dav was there when we arrived.
He was out of town when we got in, so one of his roommates was there to let us in, etc. We were given a very gruff, cursory greeting, were shown the door to our room, and left at that. No tour of the space - where the bathrooms were, the kitchen, etc. The bed was not made, but some linens were draped over the edge. When we returned that night, we discovered there were no towels and only a twin bed sheet for the two of us. We didn't want to rummage through things, and it was late so we didn't want to wake anyone. We emailed Dav and he addressed all of those issues the next day.
But, there are a few problems with this place, that are fine if you are aware of them, but not OK if they aren't posted in the description.
First off, location. It is quite far from a metro station, so you have to take a bus 6 stops. This is OK during the day, but if you are visiting Rome and staying out in the central city late, it means you have to walk 20+ minutes late at night - the bus stops running around midnight. (It would also help if a bus schedule was provided to guests).
Second, the bed. It is not a double bed, and it is not two identical twin beds that can be pushed together, as is often the case in Europe. It is two twin beds that are of slightly different sizes and heights. One has high wood sides around it. It's not a comfortable arrangement for a couple to sleep in, unless you are prepared to just sleep separately in two twin beds.
Other than that, the room was quite large, clean and nice. If the description and instructions were more accurate and Dav is there to set you up (or he gets his roommates on the same page), I am sure it would be fine.
Davide and his friends are really great people! I and my boyfriend were their guaests for 3 days while our vacation in Rome. The room is very big and clean, in the apartment there are all things can be needed for a pleasant living.
Actually Davide is one of the best guys we met in Rome. The day we were leaving there was a big problem at metro line B - all trains were stopped and crowds af people needed to get to work. We didn't know how to get to the airport in time and Davide was so kind to give us a lift to the nearest railway station where we took a cheap and fast train. Thanks a lot, Davide! Always welcomed in Moscow and hope to see you again =)
