  • Myles was a wonderful host. He provided a safe, comfortable, and private place for us to stay while visiting the city. He was very accommodating picking us up from the BART station (though it is conveniently located within walking distance from the apartment), and telling us of plenty of places for entertainment, shopping, and eating in the area. And his penthouse is amazing. The perfect little spot for someone visiting the city and needing a comfortable home base to return to. I highly recommend both Myles and his place if you are planning on a visit to Oakland or San Francisco.

  • I truly enjoyed my stay at Myles' studio. Obviously the view is outstanding! But in addition the place was clean, bright, and centrally located. The apartment building itself is classy and charming. The neighborhood is a bit sleepy but is close to many livelier spots.

The apartment itself was stylishly appointed, with artful decorations, some interesting books and knick-knacks. The kitchen is small but functional - great for simple meals. The closet has tons of space, and the futon is comfortable.

Myles was an attentive host. His approach is professional, but personal as well. He and his assistant Kristina made sure everything went smoothly at checkin and checkout, and his house manual was obsessively thorough.

  • Kwesi's apartment is probably one of the most charming and well situated places you can find in Oakland. The view is amazing, peaceful and enchanting. And Kwesi is a very nice and generous host who is always ready to help you, will answer all your questions, will tell you about places to see and to discover and who wants your stay to be as positive as possible. He and his friend Kristina make you feel welcome from the first minute. I had a wonderful time in his apartment!

  • Myles retreat was unbelievable; it's such a beautiful, cozy, peaceful home and you feel it right when you step in the door. The view of the lake is simply amazing; there was nothing better to waking up to the beauty of it as well as during the night all lit up. The kitchen is very well stocked and had everything we needed; the futon was extremely comfortable and it was just the right size; the building is nice and quiet and the neighborhood was so centrally located; there's a convenience store right outside of your door with everything you could need during and time of the day as well as many restaurants options right outside of your door including Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, Diner food etc.

It's also centrally located to main streets with additional stores, restaurants/shops including Grand Ave. and Lakeshore. It's very close by both freeways and also the 19th Street Bart station is 7 minutes walking.

Perfect location, perfect price and an amazing host even though we didn't get to meet! His friend who checked us in was so very nice as well; check-in was flawless; and they were flexible in terms of catering to us especially when we wanted to do some sight-seeing in San Francisco our last day. They let us keep our luggage at the apartment until we were ready to leave.

It was truly a home away from home. Myles is completely organized and efficient and especially attentive as far as any of our needs. He also was so nice as to leave us a bottle of Champagne for New Years which we weren't able to drink. Cheers to you Myles and thank you so much again!!!
