  • Nice place, nice hosts and imo really good place to go everywhere. So close to the metro station Stalingrad and Louis Blanc, even to North and East train station. The flat was clean and the stuffs were really good...

  • Julian let us check in at 11am and met us on arrival with instructions and advice for the surrounding area. The location is good, near many metro stations and a 10 minute walk to Gare Du Nord Station. The small apartment was cosy, though there was a lot of noise from the apartment above, who enjoyed playing music at 1am/2am/5am. The sofa bed was quite uncomfortable, it sank in the middle and was very squeaky. All in all, a very nice apartment but not for someone who needs peace and quiet and a comfortable bed.

  • Small (it's Paris) but lovely apartment which suited us perfectly. Great decor and in a great location. It is near the Gare du Nord so really handy for the Eurostar, and the St. Martin neighbourhood is interesting and lively. We had a wonderful stroll along the canal and basin after a great meal in a little bar/restaurant, called Le Chaland which we came upon by chance right by the canal.
Despite the fact we got lost and were quite late, Audrey was very gracious, welcoming and helpful.
    We would definitely come back.

  • Great little apartment, clean great amenities everything you need for your stay close to gare du nord. Also close to 3 other metro stations. Julien is a great host and very helpful. If I was return I would choose this place.

  • We had a great stay in Julien's lovely studio. It's small but is really well kitted out and as you can see from the picture, the decor is really nice. The location is perfect for Gare du Nord and there's lots of metros nearby too.

  • The communication with Julien before our arrival was excellent and really helpful. Early arrival on the first day (10 am) and late departure on the last day (4 pm) weren't a problem, too.
The apartment is quite small (maybe a little bit too small for 2 persons as already mentioned by others) but it's nicely decorated, well equipped and clean. The only small negative point was the bed. It won't win a prize for outstanding comfort especially if two persons want to sleep there. The mattress of the couch seemed that it wasn't cleaned for a while. A pair of new sheets would have been nice, too. They were fresh and washed but you could see that they were used a lot of times and already had some stains.
Unlike the experiences of other guests my girlfriend and I had no problem with the supply of warm water. Every morning it was sufficient for a medium long shower for both of us.
Gare du Nord (perfect if you arrive to Paris by Thalys), two metro stations and everything that you need for your daily food supply are within short walking distance to the apartment.
As already mentioned the walls are thin. But normally you will arrive at the apartment late in the night after an intensive exploration tour of the city and directly fall to sleep...tired but happy. ;-) For everybody who still has enough energy to realize the noises, some ear plugs will properly solve the problem.

All in all I can recommend this apartment because it offers a good price-performance ratio (Paris isn't a cheap city), it's a good base for city exploration and the owner really cares about his guests.

  • Julien was very good at communicating and arrange our arrival. House was clean, but very small and the bed really uncomfortable. No space for putting suitcases or anything else like that. Otherwise a nice place.

  • A wonderfully decorated little studio in a secure complex, very close to Stalingrad and Louis Blanc metro, the perfect base from which to explore Paris (no more than 30 mins on the metro to most major attractions).

Everything you could want in terms of shops and amenities is closeby - and hidden gem restaurants ... try the Sunken Chip on the Canal St Martin!

A couple of tips and comments: this apartment would be perfect for solo travellers. The bed is comfortable alone, but sinks with two occupants! As others have noted, the hot water system is not sufficient for two - both my partner and I drew straws for the much shorter second shower each morning. In a pinch you could figure out a morning/evening schedule! Be aware, too, that this is a (beautiful) old Parisian apartment block. This means that despite best efforts to insulate, the walls are thin. Light sleepers are advised to pack/purchase earplugs.

Despite these (small) issues, we had a wonderful time in Paris, and would definitely recommend this apartment to others.

  • We had a great stay at Julien's apartment. The apartment was ideally located; it was close to market/shops and metro. The room was lovely. The information provided in the rooms was helpful. The apartment was very secure and there are not too many stairs to carry your bag up! Sometimes at night it may be best to catch a cab, however given there were two of us we were ok too walk if it wasn't too late. We enjoyed our time in this cute apartment.
