The Space

**UPDATE: new sofa bed! Ideal for one person or for a very close-knit couple!**

Modern and functional one bedroom apartment, completely renovated at the end of 2012, located in the very heart of the Navigli and Tortona area, one of the most characteristic and historical neighbourhoods in Milan, which offers a wide selection of hip bars, good restaurants and cool spots.

The apartment is composed of a living room, a fully equipped kitchen area, a bathroom, a bedroom with a queen-size bed (and a further pullout bed) and a very useful walk-in closet.
In addition, the sofa is actually a sofa bed, ideal for one person or for a very close couple.

Even if you are in the most lively area in Milan you will sleep peacefully thanks to the double glazing provided and internal court facing windows.

The house is equipped with all the stuff you need for call it "Home"...

AREA: The apartment is placed in the heart of the Navigli neighborhood, one of the most charming areas in Milan with its canal-side cafés and old-fashioned gelaterie (ice-cream shops), elegant restaurants, typical trattorias, pizzerie, shops, jazz clubs, trendy wine bars, art galleries, and a large antique market held every last Sunday of the month.

  • The apartment is in the perfect location. Directly across the road from Porta Genova station and right around the corner from the cool restaurants and bars of Navigli. It is super quiet as it has no street frontage, the big light-filled windows face the internal courtyard. 3 of us stayed here for 3 days in perfect comfort.

Francesca is super helpful, she provided us with a book with maps, restaurant recommendations and much more. I highly recommend staying here.

  • Fantastic position in great neighbourhood . Francesca was kind enough to meet us as we exited the Metro and she had a lot of tourist information and maps in a folder which was very useful to us - we would definitely recommend her apartment and stay again .

  • We liked everything! Francesca is a lovely person! She gave us a little tour on the city and even printed Rinascente coupon in Russian for us :) The apartment is really close to the center. We usually took tram 2 to the Duomo or BikeMi (there are several stations close to the apartment).
The apartment is clean with a lot of light. Not big, but with all necessary. There is a boiler, so no problems with hot water. I had a pillow issue (was too high for me), but it's my always problem. There were other pillows on the couch which fortunately fits me well. There is no AC since the building is very old, but it was perfect for us because I usually catch a cold with an AC on. There is a ventilator in bedroom which saved us from the heat - during our stay it was +34 outside.

The place is really perfect! In terms of price/quality it even better than I expected.

Thank you Francesca! Was very nice to meet you!

  • Great appartment right in the center of everything: Navigly nightlife right outside the door, Duomo a 15min. walk, restaurants, cafes, groceries and train station (Pt. Genova) on frint of the door. Appartment itself very clean and with pretty new furniture and equipment - fully equipped, didn't miss anything. Would definitely recommend this appartment and the host Francesca was extremely nice and always very quick in responding.

  • Posizione ottima, padrona di casa non invadente e molto gentile, appartamento confortevole.
    Lo consiglio.

  • Francesca was perfect, good and clean place, great communication. She has a book for her guests full of good suggestions on where to go and what to do. We took some of the recommendations and had a great time. the place is very well located, right next to the metro and in the heart of the Navigli Night district. Although very active at night and near the railway we had no issues with noise at night. Would certainly recommend.

  • Really good location close to metro station in perfect district with lot of bars, restaurants and shops. Francesca gave us very useful recommendations about best places to eat and drink near to apartment, thanks a lot!
The Apartment is clean, nice and big enough for 2 people. I recommend it to everyone.

  • Francesca was there to welcome us. She provided a binder of information that we might need. The apartment is conveniently located near the Metro train station and a walk away to Navigli canal. There is a nice Pizza and pasta restaurant just next door. The apartment is roomy for four of us, however the shower box is a little too small. And it will be nicer if a microwave and a kettle are provided :)

  • Francesca is a very friendly person. When we landed at the airport we texted her that we are on our way. When we arrived at the apartment she was already there to welcome us. The apartment has al what you need and maybe more. But the most important is the environment: all the nice restaurants are in the neighborhood (with the nice canals) and the metro is just one minute walk, while you don't here any noise in the apartment of trains , trams or train, because the windows are on the site of the big courtyard.
So if you want to have a nice time in Milan, go to the apartment of Francesca.
