We live in a 2 BR apt located on the Rue Sainte-Isaure, at the foot of the Montmartre hill. Nice balcony with a sneak peek at Sacre Coeur. Elevator. We would love to swap apts with Central London for a few days in June (traveling with our baby boy)
Beautiful bourgeois building with a view on an Art Deco building and a small theatre across the street, a 3-min walk to "Jules Joffrin - Mairie du 18e" station (line 12) or a 6-min walk to "Simplon" station (line 4). Apt is 55 m2, with entrance hall, small kitchen, 1 large bedroom for a couple (+ 1 small bedroom for a baby) + 1 convertible sofa bed in the living room.
The whole place, in the case of a home exchange.
Rue du poteau is a bustling street with lots of shops and restaurants, and the hillside with the picturesque lanes around the Sacre Coeur, with lots of gorgeous views from the famous Montmartre stairs and little hidden squares with a countryside feel to them (a 10-min walk uphill).
line 12 (Jules Joffrin - Mairie du 18e) or line 4 (Simplon) or several buses (the Montmartrobus goes uphill and over to Pigalle, the 85 bus goes through the heart of Paris to the Luxembourg gardens, etc.) or VELIB (city bikes)
We are very experienced with home exchanges (with London and NYC); we are looking for experienced, mature, respectful, trustworthy counterparts across the Channel! We adore London and know it very well for having spent over a year and many short stays (bayswater, oxford circus/goodge street, wimbledon, etc.).
