Where you’ll be

Abang, Bali, Indonesia

D'Sawah is just 8 minutes walk to the nearest beach. You can snorkel or dive in the lovely Bali Sea, the nearest is Jemeluk, reachable in 5 minutes by scooter. Nearby are piers, from where you can take speedboats to Lombok & Gili Islands. The street to and along the beach is peppered with dive shops and mini marts. You may buy wine, snacks or even your own snorkel set. Alternatively, you may rent snorkelling mask and fin sets. The coolest part about staying so near to the Bali beach is the chance to enjoy fresh fish at great prices, and swimming in the night to see plankton bio-luminescence!

I always travel with a sarong, because it's multi-functional. Sometimes, travelling makes me a little sad because I miss the fur-babies at home, but ski-ing, diving or trying new things helps to keep my spirits up. My family and friends love coming to my home, as my hubby and I enjoy cooking. I also love to keep my home tidy, which is not really a good thing, because it distracts me from reading. Someone quoted a line many years ago, and it has become my motto ever since: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
