  • Martina is a very welcoming, friendly and discreet host. She speaks French fluently which is definitely appreciated as my girlfriend and I are from France.

We stayed in Rome for 6 days around Christmas. As this was our first visit to the city, we wanted to find a charming, well located flat in ancient Rome. The flat is indeed very clean, luminous and perfectly located in a very quiet street. It was wonderful to walk around the city and we didn’t have to take the taxi or the public transports once during the whole week! To give a few examples: Pantheon and Piazza Navona: 5mn walk; Piazza del Popolo and Trevi Fountain: 10mn; Vatican, Galleria Borghese, Colosseum and Trastevere: within 25mn.

The booking process was extremely easy and Martina recommended us a taxi company to pick us up from the airport; great given that the taxi fares are fixed from the airport to the city center.

Martina gave us a list of restaurants in the area. There are also good local food shops around the corner, in Via dei Porthogesi (butcher, cheesemonger, bakery, wine store). Martina also lent us a collection of DVDs, perfect if you would like to relax after an intense day of walks and cultural visits.

This was the first time we used Airbnb. This was a very satisfying experience and I would definitely recommend this place to stay to family and friends.

  • A beautiful and lovingly refurbished studio apartment with considerate and helpful hosts. Great suggestions for enjoying the local area and some wonderful places to eat that we would not have found by ourselves. An excellent holiday and work trip.

  • Martina has been very nice and helpful during our stay.
She answered the many questions we had and gave us some good tips.
Our flight was leaving in the evening and we could have left our bags at Martina's whom just lives next door. But, because, there was no booking after us Martina let us the flat until the cab picked us up at 4pm. That was very nice!
The flat is nice, shower is pretty tiny but works well.

  • Clean, convenient, excellent location at the center of Rome. Easy access by foot to all major attractions, great neighborhood

One cautious note: 50 stairs to the unit and a spiral stairway to the bedroom. May be challenging to older or disabled people

  • We very much enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Martina always responded quickly to emails, and was helpful with restaurant recommendations (very good, we ate at a lot of them) and details of car transfer from the airport. The apartment was super clean, and very quiet, although only minutes away from shops, restaurants and historic areas . It is well placed for sightseeing, and in our six day stay we walked to all the major tourist sites- the best way to see Rome. The area felt safe when walking back in the evening. We thoroughly recommend the apartment, and hope to stay there on our next visit to Rome.

  • Perfectly located in the heart of Rome, between Pantheon and Piazza Navona, you can walk to Colosseum, Castel Sant'Angelo and all other touristic sites. This is the best neighborhood in Rome, lots of good restaurants near Governo Vecchio. Apartment is in the second floor of beautiful historical building. No elevator. Bed is very comfortable, worth to notice that bedroom is in a mezanine. Apartment is spacious however the shower space is small. Not a problem, we were able to manage and my husband is a tall guy. Very quiet apartment, we havent cooked but you have all you need to do so. About the host: Martina is very kind and managed to assist us with all we needed. She answers really fast all messages and we were glad that we stayed in her lovely apartment. Next time in Rome we will stay here again! Thanks Martina one more time!

  • We were really happy with this apartment. It was well situated, surrounded by shops and restaurants and a few minutes walk to many major attractions. The apartment itself was clean, very quiet, and actually more spacious than it appears in the photos. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Rome.

  • We had a great time staying in Martina's apartment. The location is brilliant, very close to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, with loads of great restaurants less that 5 mins walk. The apartment was incredibly clean, comfortable and quiet. The facilities are excellent; the bed is large and very comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with everything that you could need, the couch is also very comfortable when you need to flake out after a day of pounding those winding streets! The shower unit is a little on the small side though.

Martina left us great recommendations for places to eat in the area, we ate in nearly all the places she suggested and had fantastic meals every night. Communication was very easy with Martina, despite the fact that she was in hospital during our stay, her husband was on hand to help us with anything we needed. We were also able to leave our bags in their apartment while sightseeing on the last day as our flight was late in the evening. All in all, I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. I will be telling all my family and friends to stay her if they visit Rome, I will rent this apartment again the next time we go back to Rome!

  • Martina's "Navona/Pantheon" apartment is truly in the best location of the city. The apartment is bright and clean and stocked with all that you'll need, (less food, shampoo and such of course). The mattress is excellent and the unit has great natural cross ventilation as well as the option of air conditioning. The unit is extremely quiet, even with the windows open. The apartment has had a rather recent renovation and is situated in an ancient palazzo; the result is truly charming.

The convenience of the location can not be overstated, and Martina is a kind host; she provides a list of recommended restaurants that is truly exceptional. We went to every place on her list and were not disappointed in a single one, (we were there for a long stay.)

I almost hate to leave such a strong recommendation as I fear the apt. won't be available when we wish to return, but there you have it folks, most highly recommended.

I think you will love this apartment. It is quiet, bright, very central, in a beautiful ancient building. I leave in the same building with my daughters. i work in publishing, I like reading, playing music, movies and theater. I can suggest you interesting things to do in Rome and help you to book exhibitions, theater, etc. I leave in the apartment a list with the best restaurants and shops in teh corner. Hoping to see you soon in Rome!
