About this listing
Hello Travelers! Welcome to Seattle! First, I want to thank you for taking the time to read what I offer here. I get so many requests and questions a day so please take your time to read my description because I think it will answer most of your questions and it will speed up the approval time. I believe all this information will be of great benefit to you if you are looking for a nice area to stay in Seattle. This room accommodates one guest. I also have a private suite with twin beds. This house is approx. 25mins (rush hour traffic 45 mins) from Seatac Airport and 7 mins from downtown by car. You can park in front of the house. I will let you borrow my parking pass so you can park free all day. Most parts of the Hill is metered parking.

It's real easy to get to my place.
Please read: Cancellation policy and House Rules.
If you have a large, big, heavy bag please do not stay here. Read on if you want to know why.
To get a quick response:
Please upload 3 good close-ups of your face and a check-in time for me when you request a room. Airbnb also recommends this. This is safety for guests staying here. Also, I would like to see at least one good review from a host but that doesn't mean you are guaranteed an approval. You will be declined immediately if there's not a photo and check-in time. You must let me know the time you will arrive at my door. Because I let you determine the time, I expect you to be on time (not early, not late). I am just one person running this so please be considerate of my time. I expect a call if you can't make it on time.
I have 4 photos on my profile. You know how it is, make- up vs. no make-up, hair up or down. You might not see all photos if you're using Airbnb app for the iPhone. Use an iPad or desktop.
It makes sense that you would want to know what your host looks like before you book and I should have no problem recognizing you as my guest when you arrive at my door if there is a clear profile photo of you.
I do not go by your verification with Airbnb, it does not confirm for me who you are. I would rather have a clear photo of your face and head. No sunglasses or hats. A color photo please.
If you try to give me your social media site or work website Airbnb will BLOCK it. Same with telephone numbers and emails.
After you pay:
Once payment is complete you will receive confirmation with my address, phone number and more detailed directions to my place from Airbnb. I prefer all communications right here, texting or a call to my cell phone. I do not call or text outside of the U.S. Once your booking is confirmed, I prefer all communication on the phone. Do not email me. I am very busy with answering new requests everyday so you may be waiting a while for me to respond.
Transportation to my place:
If you are coming from Seatac airport, you can take the sound transit link to downtown Westlake Station which is the last stop. Look for the Macy's exit (Pine & 4th). The train ride is about 35 minutes. Purchase a one way ticket for $2.75 or you can put any value on an orca card which will be good for buses, street cars, sound transit link, trains and ferries to the islands. You can purchase the card from the sound transit link machine at the airport or a supermarket in my neighborhood.
The orca card costs $5, it might not be worth it if you're just staying a couple days. There's no special discounts on transportation.
From downtown take bus 49 from Pike street and 4th Avenue. It is one street over south of Pine Street. Bus fare is $2.50 or 2.75 (peak fare).
If you prefer a taxi ride from downtown, it takes approximately 10 minutes and a flat fee of $10 from Westlake station. Please confirm with taxi driver for fare.
You can walk from Westlake station, the route is on streets with lots of shops and restaurants. Approx. 30 minutes.
NEW IN SEATTLE: Rent a PRONTO BIKE from any station - $8 a day or $16 - 3 days

Hi Alexia, thank you so much for everything you help during my stay. I went to all the places you receommended and they are so awesome...by the way, your coffee is super good....I will miss you...
Location is pretty nice in the quite residential area, but also very close to the bus stop from downtown, nice cafes and restaurants on Broadway and 15th Avenue.
Room is comfortable, there are enough space and nice bed.
On top of those Alexia was very kind, I had enjoyed the chat with her so much.
Alexia is a super nice host I have ever met so far. She always have me lot of information about where to go and eat... I definitely will stay her house again if I come back next time:-)
Alexia was very helpful and responsive ahead of my arrival. She gave me detailed directions to her place from the airport and looked up restaurants that opened late since I was getting in around 11pm. The house is clean and quiet and a short walk to Broadway, which has lots of restaurants and stores. During my stay Alexia even bought a new fan for my room to help keep it cool since it was uncharacteristically hot. Definitely a good choice for staying in Seattle.
The room was great, quiet, and had exactly what you need, no more, no less. It felt like sleeping at a friend's or relative's house; very comfortable. I slept much better here than any hotel. The location was also great.
Staying at Alexia's near Volunteer Park was perfect for me. Easy to get to, in a great location near things to do and the park, and comfortable for a nice stay. I also enjoyed chatting with Alexia and the other guest during my time and she gave great restaurant recommendations. Hope to come back to Seattle and stay again!
Everything was as expected, and my stay here was quite comfortable. For a room in Capitol Hill, within walking distance to downtown, the price is great!

About the Host, Alexia
After experiencing different Airbnbs in; Europe, Western Asia and Africa, I decided to be a host. As a guest, I like staying in a nice residential area to get a feel of what it's like living as a local. And it is also nice to have the host nearby in case I have any questions. I love traveling and I love sharing with travelers the best of Seattle.
I am here to make sure that you have one of the best AirBNB experiences of your life.
The most important is good communication between you and me. I put a lot of thought into the description of my place because I want to make sure you understand what is offered in this beautiful neighborhood. As for my place, it is minimally decorated for your comfort but tasteful and useful for your needs. I enjoy helping my guests plan their day around town. I do my best to accommodate as I understand that it can be their first and only time that they visit Seattle. I also like to promote Vancouver, BC because it's my favorite city and only 3 hours from here by car. If you're interested, let me know and I'd be happy to help you with your trip to Vancouver.
