About this listing
Great space for two friends traveling and private parking at the back of house.
Hello Travelers! Welcome to Seattle! First, I want to thank you for taking the time to read what I offer here. I get so many requests and questions a day so please take your time to read my description because I think it will answer most of your questions and it will speed up the approval time. I believe all this information will be of great benefit to you if you are looking for a nice area to stay in Seattle.
This is a room near the Volunteer Park area, upper Capitol Hill, most desirable area to live in in Seattle. You can use the kitchen but the living room area is closed at the moment as I need to organize. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, flexible check-in and check-out times, a neighborhood known for its diversity and entertainment and a friendly host, you have come to the right place. It's real easy to get to my place.
Please read: Cancellation Policy: STRICT (do not request a room till you are sure of your dates, you may not get a refund if you make changes later)
After you pay:
Once payment is complete you will receive confirmation with my address, phone number and more detailed directions to my place from Airbnb. I prefer all communications right here, texting or a call to my cell phone. I do not call or text outside of the U.S. Once your booking is confirmed, I prefer all communication on the phone. Do not email me. I am very busy with answering new requests everyday so you may be waiting a while for me to respond.
Transportation to my place:
If you are coming from Seatac airport, you can take the sound transit link to downtown Westlake Station which is the last stop. Look for the Macy's exit (Pine & 4th). The train ride is about 35 minutes. Purchase a one way ticket for $3.00 or you can put any value on an orca card which will be good for buses, street cars, sound transit link, trains and ferries to the islands. You can purchase the card from the sound transit link machine at the airport or a supermarket in my neighborhood.
The orca card costs $5, it might not be worth it if you're just staying a couple days. There's no special discounts on transportation.
From downtown take bus 49 from Pike street and 4th Avenue. It is one street over south of Pine Street. Bus fare is $2.75
If you prefer a taxi ride from downtown, it takes approximately 10 minutes and a flat fee of $10 from Westlake station. Please confirm with taxi driver for fare.
You can walk from Westlake station, the route is on streets with lots of shops and restaurants. Approx. 30 minutes.
NEW IN SEATTLE: Rent a PRONTO BIKE from any station - $8 a day or $16 - 3 days
Description of your space:
Bedrooms on the 2nd floor. You will be sharing the bathroom. You are welcome to use the kitchen on the same floor. The livingroom is being redecorated right now and will not be open to guests.
Upper Capitol Hill Neighborhood:
This house is one block from the main street Broadway where you can find restaurants, coffee shops, UPS, Fedex, 76 gas station and the Harvard Exit movie theatre.
Two blocks away you will find a 24 hour supermarket called QFC with a complete bakery, pharmacy, liquor selection and books/magazine. Behind QFC is Capitol Hill's only branch library providing free use of computers and internet.
Chase Bank, Bank of America, US bank and many other local banks are just a couple of blocks away.
I'm also just 2 blocks to the Volunteer Park, the most beautiful park in Seattle. There are several attractions in the park; a tropical plant conservatory, the Seattle Asian Art Museum, children's playground (under construction) and a historic brick water tower which offers commanding views of the downtown skyline and the surrounding mountains. You will also find Seattle's oldest and most expensive mansions.
Next to the park is one of Seattle's oldest cemeteries, resting place for Seattle's founding pioneers and also where famous martial artist and film actors Bruce and Brandon Lee are buried.
I have these rules to make this is a safe, comfortable and enjoyable place for everyone to stay. If you don't agree, please stay at another Airbnb. Every host has different rules.
I will need to make a copy of your driver's license or passport for verification as soon as you arrive. No outside visitor's allowed in the house. No cooking in the kitchen. You can use the fridge, microwave and toaster oven. No taking baths, only showers. Please take off shoes at the entrance. I would like to keep stairs and floors free from dirty shoes. Slippers will be provided. Thank you for your understanding.
I love traveling and sharing with travelers the best of Seattle.
I am here to make sure that you have a comfortable stay. The most important is good communication between you and me. I put a lot of thought into the description of my place because I want to make sure you understand what is offered in this beautiful neighborhood.
As for my place, it is minimally decorated for your comfort but tasteful and useful for your needs. I enjoy helping my guests plan their day around town. I do my best to accommodate as I understand that it can be their first and only time that they visit Seattle. I also like to promote Vancouver, BC because it's my favorite city and only 3 hours from here by car. If you're interested, let me know and I'd be happy to help you with your trip to Vancouver.
