Hello Travelers! Welcome to Seattle! This is a room near the Volunteer Park area, upper Capitol Hill, most desirable area to live in in Seattle. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, private parking (no extra charge), central location, with flexible check-in and check-out times, and a friendly host, you have come to the right place. It's real easy to get to my place.
It's so important to have a clear close up photo for your profile. This is also an Airbnb recommendation.
This is safety for all involved. My photo should be an example.
It makes sense that you want to know what your host looks like before you book and I should have no problem recognizing you as my guest when you arrive at my door if there is a clear profile photo of you.
If you try to give me your social media site airbnb will block it. Same with telephone numbers.
Once payment is complete you will receive confirmation with my address, phone number and more detailed directions to my place from airbnb. I prefer all communications on the airbnb email, texting or a call to my cell phone.
Transportation to my place:
If you are coming from Seatac airport, you can take the sound transit link to downtown Westlake Station which is the last stop. Look for the Macy's exit (Pine & 4th). The train ride is about 35 minutes. Purchase a one way ticket for $2.75 or you can put any value on an orca card which will be good for buses, street cars, sound transit link, trains and ferries to the islands. You can purchase the card from the sound transit link machine at the airport or a supermarket in my neighborhood.
From downtown take bus 49 from Pike street and 4th Avenue. It is one street over south of Pine Street. Bus fare is $2.25 or 2.75 (rush hour fare).
If you prefer a taxi ride from downtown, it takes approximately 10 minutes and a flat fee of $10 from Westlake station. Please confirm with taxi driver for fare.
You can walk from Westlake station, the route is on streets with lots of shops and restaurants. Approx. 30 minutes.

I'm 25 minutes walk down to Lake Union via E. Roy Street where you can see Seattle's unique floating homes (houseboats) neighborhood, rent a sailboat at the Boat House or go for a seaplane tour. Try the SLUT while you're down there.
Seattle Central Community College and Seattle University is just down the road on Broadway. University of Washington is just 10-15 minutes bus ride #49.
Capitol Hill/Broadway street will be getting the street car. The street car will take you down to the International district where you can catch the Amtrak train and the link to the airport. Project will be completed in 4040 :)
A mammoth tusk was found at a construction site in South Lake Union and tusk was transported to the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture on the UW campus. The tusk says it's good to be at a 5 star museum but "I could use a little more heat."
Alexia is a gracious and considerate host. She’s described her duplex and neighborhood precisely. I had business at the convention center, and it was great that a short (30-minute) walk, or shorter bus ride, could bring me to her charming neighborhood, which is another distinct flavor of Seattle. Great place for meditative strolls or seated, drink-in-hand people-watching. (A dining favorite downtown: the salmon bowl at Dragonfish, attached to the Paramount Hotel.)
We stayed at Alexia's place for two nights. It was extremely comfortable, was in a great location, and Alexia was a fantastic host. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Seattle
This was my first time in Seattle, and I am glad I stayed at Alexia's. She was friendly and helpful with a quirky sense of humor. My trip to Seattle was to interview for an engineering job; and I got an offer 3 days after my interview. Overall a very successful trip, and better than staying at a hotel!
Alexia was a wonderful host. Upon arrival, she made me feel very welcome and comfortable. She handed me a list of delicious restaurants, and attractions in the Seattle area along with travel instructions. Alexia is friendly and helpful plus her accommodations are neat and clean. I would highly recommend staying here if you are traveling to the Seattle area.
Alexia was an amazing host! We stayed for several days and felt totally comfortable. She made great recommendation and her place is conveniently located.
The room was clean, cozy, and private. My experience was positive and the house was in a great location--everything was within walking distance.
Alexia is very very great host. I have never thought that will see the friendly, helpful and ardour host like her. She not only give us detail info about the house, the neighborhood but also take care of us very much. She took us to Pike Place Market when we had just arrived and showed us the bus stop near the house, the way to downtown,...She also helped us contact to the person we want to meet. Especially she took us to the Paramount Theatre to see the piano can play by it self, inside the theatre and told us about the silent movie in Monday. I was very very happy to stay with her. The room is clean and spacious, the bathroom equipment is full. The location is great too, near the nice park and bus stop to go downtown, University district. I will stay at her house if comeback Seattle.
Alexia place is very cute and quaint. I loved her bathroom! its a cute neighborhood and is more suburban than city but still has a lot of Seattle charm. Alexia is very quirky and accommodating. Just remember to take off your shoes!
I strongly recommend this place!! Alexia is very good person! The cleaning condition is good like a hotel. Cozy and nice!! There is a Volunteer park, very big good for jogging and walk around. In Capital hill, there are many restaurants and famous coffee shops! Very good Awesome!!!!!
As a first time visitor to Seattle, I feel I got extremely lucky in my accommodations. Alexia's place is located in Capitol Hill, one of the most premier neighborhoods in Seattle. The neighborhood itself is extremely lively and accessible, but Alexia's street is quiet and felt very safe.
She is an extremely welcoming, helpful, and thorough host. Immediately upon arrival, Alexia provided us with a detailed map of Seattle and spent a good half hour going over it with us and suggesting places to eat/see/visit.
I would imagine this is the best value by far. Thanks Alexia! We would love to stay again!
