Hello Travelers! Welcome to Seattle! First, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my entire site. I believe all this information will be of great benefit to you if you are looking for a nice area to stay in Seattle. This is a room in a house. I also have a private suite with twin beds. It is approx. 20 mins non-peak hr. from the Seatac Airport and 5 mins from downtown by car. You can park in front of the house. I will have a pass for you so you can park for free all day. Most parts of the Hill is metered parking. This is a room near the Volunteer Park area, upper Capitol Hill, most desirable area to live in in Seattle. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, flexible check-in and check-out times, a neighborhood known for its diversity and entertainment and a friendly host, you have come to the right place. It's real easy to get to my place.
**To get a quick approval, please read the entire description, have a good photo and a check-in time for me when you request a room.
***Cancellation policy: strict
Profile photos: (3 photos minimum)
It's so important to have a clear close up photo for your profile. This is also an Airbnb recommendation. If you don't get an immediate response from me, it's because you don't have a good photo. This is safety for guests staying here. I have 4 photos on my profile. You know how it is, make- up vs. no make-up, hair up or down. You might not see all 5 if you're using Airbnb app for the phone. Use an iPad or desktop.
It makes sense that you would want to know what your host looks like before you book and I should have no problem recognizing you as my guest when you arrive at my door if there is a clear profile photo of you.
I do not go by your verification with Airbnb, it does not confirm for me who you are. I would rather have a clear photo of your face and head. No sunglasses or hats. A color photo please.
If you try to give me your social media site or work website Airbnb will block it. Same with telephone numbers.
After you pay:
Once payment is complete you will receive confirmation with my address, phone number and more detailed directions to my place from Airbnb. I prefer all communications right here, texting or a call to my cell phone. I do not call or text outside of the U.S. If you have a phone, I prefer a call if you have any questions once you have arrived in Seattle.
Transportation to my place:
If you are coming from Seatac airport, you can take the sound transit link to downtown Westlake Station which is the last stop. Look for the Macy's exit (Pine & 4th). The train ride is about 35 minutes. Purchase a one way ticket for $2.75 or you can put any value on an orca card which will be good for buses, street cars, sound transit link, trains and ferries to the islands. You can purchase the card from the sound transit link machine at the airport or a supermarket in my neighborhood.
The orca card costs $5, it might not be worth it if you're just staying a couple days. There's no special discounts on transportation.
From downtown take bus 49 from Pike street and 4th Avenue. It is one street over south of Pine Street. Bus fare is $2.50 or 2.75 (peak fare).
If you prefer a taxi ride from downtown, it takes approximately 10 minutes and a flat fee of $10 from Westlake station. Please confirm with taxi driver for fare.
You can walk from Westlake station, the route is on streets with lots of shops and restaurants. Approx. 30 minutes.

Alexia was extremely welcoming from day one - my flight was late and she waited up to let me in, which I really appreciated! Her house is immaculate, and very organised - Do's and don't safe clearly outlined when you arrive. She's a wealth of information about all things Seattle, and is more than happy to give you recommendations and tidbits of local knowledge, as well as providing you with anything you might need throughout your stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend alexia's place for others - I was extremely comfortable here, and felt lucky to be located in such a fantastic location in seattle!
Alexia is a great host, I loved the trip guide she made herself, it is full of a local resident's insights about the neighborhood and the city. The place is tidy and clean and it is located in a wonderful neighborhood .
Alexia's lovely house is in a nice leafy part of Seattle, not far from what looked like a university area with lots of little eateries and bars. Alexia is a delightful host! Quite quirky and with a distinct personality which I managed to draw out and get her laughing over a glass of wine! She was a lot of fun to chat to and share opinions. Her room and the bathroom is exactly like the photo. Alexia was very helpful with suggestions on what to do in my short time in Seattle - Bruce Lee's grave, the Fremont Troll etc. I will have to come back for more discussion!
This stay was my introduction to Airbnb. The room was perfect--a very nice walk to my daytime activities. Alexia gave me a parking permit so I could leave my car on the street in front. I was pleased with the no shoes policy--everything was very clean and dust free. The room, in an older house, had been updated with new vinyl windows, with screens. Alexia let me use the kitchen which was handy for my morning oatmeal and coffee. She offered me her pass to the nearby art museum in Volunteer Park and had lots of recommendations for restaurants. All in all, a very nice experience!
Alexia is a very nice person and a great host. He told me about lots of nice places to do in Seattle and around (Bainbridge Island) and generally made my stay very pleasant.
The instructions you receive when your reservation is accepted about how to get to her apartment are super detailed as are the leaflets she has for going to nearby stores, restaurants, spectacles, etc.
The house is superbly located, in a beautiful and very safe neighborhood that is a joy to walk around in. Volunteer park is a 10-min walk, Broadway (with all the stores and restaurants) is 5 minutes away. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable to sleep in.
I would definitely recommend this place.
Alexia's house is very neat and clean, and it's in a great location. She is extremely serious about not allowing shoes in her house. Although she does provide some slippers for the use of guests, my size was not available. In contrast to my first visit which I enjoyed, I felt unwelcome immediately upon my arrival this time, because Alexia berated me for leaving my shoes one step above the area provided for guest shoes, and for bringing my own slippers from home. The house felt uncomfortably chilly to me during my stay in early March.
Alexia was a very experienced and organized host. My flight got into Seattle late and she was able to accommodate my arrival time. The older home is in a very convenient location to downtown. The room and bathroom were very clean and newly appointed. Alexia is very clear about the rules and expectations for guests and overall this was a good stay for the price.

After experiencing different Airbnbs in; Europe, Western Asia and Africa, I decided to be a host. As a guest, I like staying in a nice residential area to get a feel of what it's like living as a local. And it is also nice to have the host nearby in case I have any questions. I love traveling and I love sharing with travelers the best of Seattle.
I am here to make sure that you have the best AirBNB experience of your life.
The most important is good communication between you and me. I put a lot of thought into the description of my place because I want to make sure you enjoy your stay in this beautiful neighborhood. My place is minimally decorated for your comfort but tasteful and useful for your needs. I enjoy helping my guests plan their day around town. I do my best to accommodate as I understand that it can be their first and only time that they visit Seattle. I also like to promote Vancouver, BC because it's my favorite city and only 3 hours from here by car. If you're interested, let me know and I'd be happy to help you with your trip to Vancouver.
