Active vacation and city trip, hiking, cycling and winter sports: The Alte Schmiede in Sistrans is the perfect starting point for a break! Between fields, meadows and forests lies the village of 2,500 inhabitants at 1,000 meters directly on the Patscherkofel, with magnificent mountain panorama and views of the Inn Valley. Innsbruck is only 20 minutes away and in 30 minutes you are at the Brenner.
The icing on the cake is the special charm of the apartment, which was renovated in 2023: The Alte Schmiede dates back to 1666!
The space
The apartment is best suited for two active adults as a base for alpine adventures. It is located on the first floor of the former Sistranser village smithy in the middle of the old village core. Built over 350 years ago, the old forge is surrounded by a special historical flair!

The apartment, newly renovated in 2023, consists of one room - the Zirbenstube - kitchen and bathroom (30 square meters in total). In the cozy Zirbenstube there is a large double bed and a comfortable armchair that can be converted into a bed. This offers another sleeping place, for example for a child or a teenager. For a baby we provide a baby crib.
The kitchen is well equipped, so you can prepare your meals yourself. There you will find the most important ingredients, such as salt and pepper, herbs and spices, vinegar and oil, coffee and tea. At the kitchen table there is space for two to three people. A highchair is available.
In the bathroom, the following are available for you: towels, soap, shower gel, toilet paper and the most important hygiene items.
You are welcome to share the garden behind the house with us. A cozy, covered seating area invites you to eat, drink, play or read.
A good family dog (cat-friendly!) is welcome!

Other things to note
The "Alte Schmiede" is located in the center of the village. In a few minutes' walk you are in the small supermarket and at the bus stop. Directly from the front door you start with your bike on the Vitalradweg. After short walks you will reach countless hiking trails on our local mountain "Patscherkofel" and various alpine inns. Skiers, tourers and tobogganers will also get their money's worth in winter.
Innsbruck is just a stone's throw away. In about 20 minutes you are at the Golden Roof in the pedestrian zone with numerous shopping opportunities, varied gastronomy and many cultural offers. The bus runs every 15 minutes. The ride is free with your guest card.
And if you don't feel like "action," just chill out in our garden or cook your favorite food in the well-equipped kitchen!
>> The apartment is located on the old village road, which is not very busy (30 km/h zone). At night and on weekends it is very quiet. You only hear the sound of the stream.

In the municipal office, an electric car is available, which our guests can also rent for a small fee (registration on flo-mobil(dot)com). The power supply comes from our photovoltaic system, the heat from the pellet heating. When furnishing the apartment, we paid attention to sustainability and reuse. If you live vegan or would like to try it, we're here to support you!
