We love being Airbnb hosts. Let us welcome you with some complimentary coffee and pastries, local beer, suggest some favorite restaurants or music venues for you to check out, and share with you what we love about living in East Nashville.
Our home sits on a quiet street that's a block from a popular neighborhood bakery and breakfast spot you should definitely try if you enjoy pastries and meeting friendly locals and is only a few blocks' walk to award-winning local restaurants and bars on Eastland Avenue (including Two Ten Jack, Eastland Cafe, Jeni's Ice Cream, Silly Goose, etc.) and James Beard-nominated restaurant Lockeland Table on Woodland Avenue. We are also a short walk to Five Points, where you'll find restaurants, bars, music venues, shopping, and more. Great food, music, and activities are everywhere in this neighborhood!
Our home is 2.5 miles away from LP Field where the Tennessee Titans play and 3.3 miles from Bridgestone Arena where the Nashville Predators play. Additionally, we're only 3 miles to downtown/Broadway area honky tonks. We are an 8-mile/15-minute drive to the Grand Ole Opry and Opryland and within walking distance of the Shelby golf course and beautiful Shelby Park.
Everything in Nashville is easily accessible via car, or we're a few blocks' walk to a city bus stop and happy to provide public transit information to help you out. Bike rental is always an option nearby at Five Points or Shelby Park, and Lyft car service is another great way to get around the city without using cabs! We have a referral code that will give first-time users a free ride up to $25.
Other Things to Note
You'll likely notice previous guests' reviews referencing our sweet orange tabby cat, Gus. He no longer lives at the house and is back in our home in Austin, Texas permanently. That said, any pet allergies should not be an issue.
No smoking of any kind is allowed inside the house, and please be respectful of neighbors and the neighborhood with noise levels. Please don't host a party or event with additional people without discussing this in advance with us. Our neighbors are also our friends, and they will alert us if anyone staying at the house is disturbing them.
We try not to keep many super firm rules. If you treat our home respectfully, we'll get along great. :)
Our visit was wonderful! The house was in great condition and in a convenient location. Matthew and Harmoni provided tons of information and were very easy to get in touch with.
Matt and Harmoni did a fantastic job of welcoming us to Nashville with options in the neighborhood, a binder of suggestions and helpful tips for the city, and they were super clear but not overbearing about house rules (which is pretty relevant when there is a little animal in the house). We adored Gus and the house was charming and the area very down to earth and fun. Lots of positive feelings when we left. We would definitely recommend them for another group of four visiting for a long weekend or week.
Super great house, even better hosts. Matt & Harmoni's home was everything that the photos and description promised. Excellent attention to detail throughout the home and from the hosts. They left a very thorough guide of how everything works in the home along with some great highlights around the neighborhood. Great location too. East Nashville is really great. You could keep really busy without ever leaving the neighborhood.
My family and I visited Nashville so I could run a half marathon. Matt and Harmoni showed a personal interest in our stay offering advice on where to run, how to get to the start, and introduced me to Lyft which worked great for my early morning start time. They even gave me a voucher for Lyft so my ride to the start was free. After the race they messaged me to see how it went.
Matt and Harmoni deserve 5 stars for having a great home and being amazing hosts.
Great house and wonderful hosts. Everything was clean and as described. Their cat, Gus, was the sweetest addition to our stay. Would definitely recommend!
We made a very last-minute request and they helped accomodate us, and were very quick and easy to communciate with during our whole trip. They made us feel right at home, in their lovely home. Gus, their cat, was just as friendly - we will miss him! The house is in an excellent location and would love to stay there again.
We are more recently from Austin, TX (a stint in Indiana for Matt and Louisiana for Harmoni previously) and are currently living in Nashville, TN. We work together professionally in tv/film/video production, both with college degrees in that field, and Harmoni works separately in music as a bass guitarist and vocalist for a variety of nationally touring bands and artists.
We love to travel, have been around the world a bit together, and are always looking to explore new cities, great food and drinks, culture, art, music, and more -- all while making new friends along the way. We are strong proponents of Airbnb and love being hosts and guests.
