We stayed over Christmas and New Year and had a lovely time. The house is situated in one of the best and nicest suburban neighborhoods very close to Copenhagen city center (6-7km). There is a little stretch of beach is just down the street, and the larger public beach is 5 minutes walk away. There is public transportation (bus) just up the street, and there are plenty of bakeries, cafes, stores, shops and restaurants close by in the neighborhood (walkable). We went for a daily run along the coastline and back through neighborhoods and forest close by. So lovely. The house is one floor, modern but really cozy with a lovely fireplace that we had going almost every day. The house was spotless and clean - and comfortably holds 2 adults and 2 children and has all the necessary amnesties. Wifi and TV working perfectly to keep both kids and adults connected and entertained. All communication with Brian was really easy and pleasant. We would love to return.

Ok I think a good/bad list is in order for this home: The Good: Home itself is nice and the patio and front garden are lovely The location, very close to to fort, beaches and shops. Kitchen is well stocked and had most of the things any cook needs Kid friendly, our daughter fell in love with the magnets on the radiator Sadly this stay was not without its problems. The Bad: Public urination allowed on the property two feet from the dining room window. Yup, got to see ten men's penis' luckily my daughter was sleeping. Loud music and party permitted during our stay at the property next door ( owned by hosts mother in law) Construction allowed also next door ( mom in law again) Very loud construction noise one house over from 7AM to 4PM Monday to Friday Loud men at night on street between 2AM and 4AM most nights. Bedrooms are street facing. Wifi only worked for one day of eight. Brian was told about each problem. The party only lasted for one hour, bit compensation was never offered so please be warned. This home is best rented by those not looking for a quiet family get away.

Response from Brian Egerup:
Dear Elizabeth. Thank you for your feedback. Yes, the Danish bachelor party you got to experience was quite extraordinary. It was my brother in law who was taken on a tour bus for the day, also visiting his childhood home. Which is just next door to our house. The party had a blast - and I'm sorry for the fact that they disrupted your stay. On top of that you got to experience an unusual week full of noise from construction work on surrounding houses. It is the most quiet and idyllic neighborhood one can imagine, so bedrooms facing the small street has never been a problem for any one before. Not even to my wife who is a light sleeper. We truly apologize for the wifi never got to work. We talked to our internet provider several times during your stay, them telling us that there were no errors on the connection. They are still analyzing so were are working to fix it - we know how annoying it is when wifi doesn't work. So all in all, we did our best with all the strange and unfortunate incidents, and we apologize that they weren't in our control to avoid. BR, Brian

We stayed for a week at Brian's house: the description was accurate, any communication was promptly replied to, location is fantastic. A quiet street with a little beach area 1 minute walk from the house. Our children (10, 13, 15) all loved the space and had plenty to do. The area of Hellerup is ideal for families in particular: a stone's throw from the centre of Copenhagen (we cycled in every day), near to great beaches, the Dyrehaven forest, and plenty of shops locally. Definitely somewhere we would love to stay again on a future visit to Copenhagen.

Our family of three have stayed one week in this beautiful and comfortable house. We really enjoyed the open and bright living room and kitchen area, specially the sliding glass doors leading to the sunny terrace. The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped which made the stay a very good experience. The location is perfect, close the the city of Copenhagen, yet quiet and close to the sea and beaches. Very good starting point for bicycle rides along Strandvejen or the forest areas close to Hellerup. We can really recommend the location and house, and would love to come back.

We stayed in Brian's house for 2 weeks and had a good time. The place is ideally located close to beach, forest and a short distance to Copenhagen and good for a small family with children. Henrik

As a family with 2 children aged 16 and 12 we wanted to spend a few days exploring Copenhagen. We decided to try AirBnB to avoid having to stay in a hotel. We could not really have been any happier with our choice of host or house. It was airy and spacious with sliding glass doors opening onto a large central decking area which is great for having meals. The house was very clean and well equipped. The bathroom and shower was a little small but this in no way hindered our enjoyment. The neighbourhood was quiet and very pleasant to walk around with a wide variety of shops nearby. There is a good bus service in and out of Copenhagen. The 1A is only a few minutes walk from the house. The beaches at Charlottenlund are some 10 minutes away. When we arrived I had a few queries, phoned Brian, and he returned my call within a very short while and dealt with all of them in very good English. We thoroughly recommend this house if you want to explore Copenhagen whilst staying somewhere a little more peaceful.
