  • Sabine and her husband had been waited for us till midnight when we arrived. The husband helped me to carry up our luggage and they prepared some food for us.
The appartment was clean and very nice and comfortable and had all the needed facilities for living.
We knew in advance that the appartment is in the third floor, but it was quite dificult for us anyway.
The Uban station is very close to the building and it was very useful.
There is a problem to balance the hot water in the bathroom.

  • Sabine and Uwe were wonderful hosts. They met us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) at their beautiful apartment (where we stayed for 2 weeks), and welcomed us warmly. They were so kind to stock the fridge with fruit, cheese, and bread and even had little treats for my children. They explained everything about the apartment, wished us all the best, then left us to discover Kreuzberg and Berlin. The apartment is exactly as described and pictured. It is spacious and clean, definitely a good space for a family. The location is PERFECT, about 1 min walk to the U-bahn and a main street (don't worry; you don't hear the street noise at all!). There are grocery stores, shops, cafes, Kneipes, and restaurants all within walking distance-really everything you need to have a fantastic time in Berlin. You will want for nothing. Wandering around the side streets in the neighbourhood will give you a flavour of Kreuzberg and will hopefully inspire you to explore further. The apartment is situated in an Altbau , typical for Kreuzberg, and its ambiance and charm are definitely what you want to experience in Berlin. It is on the 3rd floor, with no elevator - again typical for an Altbau - which can be hard at first, but after a couple of days, you don't even notice it. When you stay at Sabine's and Uwe's, you will not be disappointed. I would recommend their place to anyone and will definitely stay here on my next visit to Berlin.

  • We have spent 5 days in Sabine's apartment with my boyfriend, and honestly I did not expect such an amazing flat before our arrival :) The place is huge, very bright and clean. Sabine was really nice with the extra food, fruit and wine in the kitchen, not to mention all the small shampoos and shower gels in the bathroom. The neighborhood is very nice, located just in the middle of Kreuzberg, with a lot of bars and places around, and the U-bahn is literally 1 minute walk! 2 little things to notice btw: 1. no elevator, so you have to walk 3 floors up, and the water of the shower is very annoying - you cannot really control it, once it is super hot and then very cold :)

  • Our five night stay in Sabine's apartment in Kreuzberg was excellent. Sabine had sent comprehensive directions of how to get to the apartment by bus and U-bahn from Schonfeld airport and the journey is straightforward. The apartment is a one-minute walk from the U-bahn so great for transport links around Berlin. Sabina and her husband were waiting for us in the apartment, which is in a traditional apartment block reached by original staircase. The apartment is delightful: light and airy, with high ceilings and doors, large casement windows, comfortable and attractive furnishings and very well equipped. It was very warmly heated and Sabina had left food, beer and a bottle of wine for us, which was most welcoming and meant we didn't have to shop immediately. There were lots of extra touches which made our stay comfortable: plenty of towels, soaps and shampoos etc in the bathroom and basic foods in kitchen (seasonings etc). We would have enjoyed spending more time in the apartment but were intent on being out and about, seeing Berlin. The local neighbourhood has good shops, bars and restaurants and a very pleasant walk along the canal but the big bonus for us was the excellent U-bahn link to the city centre within ten minutes. We will certainly recommend this apartment to friends and would love to return ourselves. Sue and Bryan

  • This Kreuzberg flat was ideal: lots of space and light, beautiful character features and furnishings, lovely hosts, and well-stocked for our week-long stay. It included wine and beer, breakfast supplies, some toiletries, and other snacks - much more than we expected. The flat was clean, warm, a wonderful home away from home in Berlin. My only very small quibble would be to warn guests that it is hard to regulate the shower water temperature, and it can go from very hot to quite chilly unexpectedly. It takes some jiggling to get it right.

Sabine and her husband greeted us at the flat for our late arrival with kindness and lots of great information. They were always available for questions, and quick with answers via email.

The neighbourhood was perfect; it's where I wish I could live if I was in Berlin permanently. VERY close to an U-Bahn station, restaurants (the Turkish restaurant downstairs was wonderful), and near all the excitement of Kreuzberg and Neukölln, but still calm and off the main drag. The Licorice shop around the corner was a great find!

I hope to stay here again! Thank you Sabine!

  • Sabine and her husband are wonderful hosts! We were given clear directions how to get from the airport to the apartment and were welcomed there with fresh fruit, wine and some food in the refrigerator. The apartment is spacious and very comparable. It is located very closed to a U8 stop, just a couple of stops from Alexanderplaz. We had an awesome stay in the apartment and highly recommend it! We would go there again.

  • Sabine's apartment is absolutely perfect - very spacious, modern, stylish, and well equipped whilst still maintaining a cosy and homely atmosphere. It is also in the most trendiest and thriving spot in Berlin, with so many amazing bars and restaurants within walking distance. Sabine and her husband were incredibly kind to meet us at the late hour of 11pm to let us into the apartment, show us around and answer our questions. They were so happy and pleased to meet us and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable (even so generously providing us with food and wine when we arrived!). This combined with their prompt communication via email, friendly and welcoming nature, and of course their beautiful apartment, made it a perfect 10/10 airbnb experience.

  • A fantastic apartment in the best area of Berlin. Super clean, comfortable, warm, all you need in an apartment! Couldn't recommend it more! The little touches such as the good left in the fridge and bread were lovely! Thank you!!
