Welcome to our house! This is a furnished bedroom in a 2.5 BR apt, located in Williamsburg, right off the Hewes stop on the JM line, the Broadway stop on the G line and a short walk away from Lorimer stop the L line. The L and the JM trains will get you to the heart of Manhattan in under 20 minutes and the G train is great for getting around Brooklyn (Green Point, Fort Greene, Park Slope, etc...). In other words: it's the perfect spot to start from and come home to after a full day of adventures in NYC. Queen-size bed, sheets and towels, AC in bedroom, internet, living room - and the bedrooms are on opposite ends of the floor-through apt. There are lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance, as well as pharmacy, laundromat, supermarkets etc. Tips and recommendations of course come with the stay!!
Feel free to use the living room and kitchen, just be sure to clean up after yourself. If you'd like to cook feel free to use the spices, pots, pans, and dishes. Make sure to lock the door (even when you're in the apartment). Its generally a party free house (though still fun filled!). I go to bed around midnight on weeknights. You're welcome to hang out in the common spaces as late (or early) as you'd like, just keep the noise at a modest level.
I stayed a week longer than planed, therefor the second (website hidden) me the chance to say nice things about Ali. She's also really kind. Still a nice place.
I had a really nice stay at Adam's place in Brooklyn. He is a really kind and easy host and the place is located perfectly. I spend a couple of months here and I never felt uncomfortable or unwanted. The room has a nice bed, closet, mirror and I put a plant there myself. The only thing I could complain about is the noise outside but I suppose you won't ever find a quiet place in New York and you'll get used to it in no time. Because of my long stay I've seen many other guests in the room next to mine, all of them interesting people. I had a pleasant stay here.
Adam and Ali are lovely, genuine and intelligent people! They are fun to hang out with, while also being respectful of privacy. I have stayed with them for a month, and would be delighted to return in the future.
The room is exactly as pictured: spacious and well-furnished. The only unexpected thing was hearing nearby traffic at night, but I slept very well with the AC on. I'm very glad I stayed at Adam's apartment because it really cute and convenient (just a few minutes away from Manhattan by train).
Adam and Ali are lovely people. They are kind, quiet, considerate, and helpful in every way. I would stay with them again in a heartbeat.
Great apartment, had everything we needed for our stay in NYC. The subway station is literally around the corner, and you can easily get to different destinations from there. The hosts were helpful and friendly.
Adam was a wonderful host, very helpful and accommodating. My stay was delightful.
Great, super cozy room in a good area. Close to most things!
I´m very happy I stayed there.

Hi! I moved here in September of 2012 with my girlfriend (Ali) from the midwest where we were both in graduate school. I finished my PhD in Physics in May at which point Ali and I took 3 months to travel throughout Southeast Asia and India before moving to New York.
Now I'm working at a internet tech company that analyzes streams of data related to music. iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, (website hidden), Myspace, you name it. If bands use it to get their music out to the world we track it, keeping our fingers on the pulse of the music industry. Ali just returned from a year of research in West Africa and is working on finishing her dissertation.
In addition to being passionate about music (listening, making, and tracking), I also love traveling, cycling, board games, puzzles, and dancing.
