Dorit's place is om wonderful neighborhood. Very green, quite and with a lot of parks. There is a cafe within very short distance and a grocery and great bakery. Dorit is a very nice person and her home is beautifully decorated. Dorit and her husband are very friendly and made sure I felt and home and had what I needed. The room and bathroom are small, very clean, and had everything I needed for my stay. The nights very cold and Dorit provided me with an additional heater. I will definitely come back to this place.

Dorit and Gad made me feel like i was a member of the family. The place was as described and the neighborhood is very safe. An extra heater was provided even though the place was air conditioned. I truly recommend this place and and I intend staying there again the next time that I am in Israel

Dorit was very welcoming and pleasant at all times. I wish her the best of health and Refuah Shelaima (Dorit bas Rochel). We stayed there for close to 5 weeks over a seven week period. Our initial stay was only for 5 days and the space was very limited. As we had already booked for the last 4.5 weeks of our trip, upon our return, we asked for additional space for storing our clothes as we came with 2 duflebags and she cleared out substantial closet space which was very helpful in making our stay more comfortable. The one issue which I raised and which was not satisfactorily addressed was the air conditioning. The booking lists AC. They do have central air conditioning. We were there during an unusually hot period (daytime highs in the 90s -Fahrenheit and nighttime in the upper 70s with high humidity). They suggested that we keep the windows open and use the fan. This was not a satisfactory solution as it was still warm and street lights and sound disturbed our sleep. Shutters had to be open to get outside air and there was very little ventilation. When we returned for the balance of our stay, I thought we had reached an agreement as to keeping the thermostat at 23C, but that was not honored. At times only the fan was on or the AC was turned of in middle of the night. (Sometimes someone would actually setting the AC on 18C and it was rather chilly). I had suggested that if they were so concerned about the cost of running AC, they should get a separate room unit for the room. My recommendation is that for a short stay in comfortable weather it is great. For a longer duration, it is rather confining especially if you bring a lot of clothing.

I spent a little over a week with Dorit in the comfortable private room with its own bath. The room, home and neighborhood are as described, in fact, better, and I enjoyed my independence and privacy, yet there were times when our paths crossed and Dorit and her family members were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal, walking distance to my nephew and his family's home, and to the main street with all its cafes and businesses and bus lines. Dorit's beautiful art work in the room and around the house is a bonus. This is definitely not a luxury accommodation, but it is very comfortable and provides what's necessary for your stay. I used this as my home base to pretend to be a temporary native, and maintain a routine including yoga classes, and visits to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the Hula Valley. I would definitely return on future visits. BTW, the weather was unusually cold and rainy, the central heater wasn't working for a couple of days, but I was given a space heater, the hosts got right on fixing the heater, and everyone survived!

I was looking for a nice room to stay in for 2 nights while attending a workshop nearby. I saw the pictures and reviews and decided to make a booking. And I am so glad did! Dorit showed me around the room and house, made sure I had all that is needed (gave me a heater as I was a little cold) and after that gave me full privacy. Gadi was also very welcoming, helped me whenever I needed, and we had a great conversation. The room is very cozy, had a fridge and a kettle and had its own toilet and bathroom which gave me the feeling of almost maximal independence and privacy. Personally I didn't need to cook in this visit, which made it easier as the room has no kitchen. Even though the room is on the first floor, it was very quiet, and I feel it was the best choice I made for what I needed - a nice, cozy and quiet place to put my head at night after a long day. I have no doubt of coming back in case I need to again in the future and with the same needs. Thank you very much! Dorit

To determine if your stay was pleasant at a place one should ask themselves "Would I go back there again ?" and my answer is a definite YES! I would go back there !!! in fact each time I am in Israel in the future I plan on staying with Dorit and Gabi. Both made me feel very welcome and were very helpful. In fact, even invited me for a Shabbat meal with the family. Dorit is not only an artist in art but in cooking as well. The place is as you see it in the picture. It is clean and comfortable and ... since Dorit is an artist you also get your wall changed with new pictures every now and again. So if you appreciate art that is a real treat !!! I was not interfered with in any way and was left to do my own thing. Which is exactly what i wanted. Note that you also have a private bathroom linked to your room and accessible from your room only. That made it extremely convenient. The place is quiet and will allow you to have peaceful sleep. It takes about seven minutes to get to the main center in Raanana by foot where there are ample busses. In fact there are some buses that pass close by and the bus stop is about two minutes away from the house. There is also ample parking in the area so one does not have to spend the "whole night" looking for parking as in some homes. The house is also close to an old age home where my father stays. Hence this was ideal for me and I was able to spend a lot of time with my father instead of spending time commuting backwards and forward with buses / or cars. That basically sums up my stay here for the duration. As I said I would return here and I strongly recommend the place to anyone who needs accommodation in the area. Thanks a lot Dorit and Gabi it was great to know you both and I am sure that we will cross paths in the future.
