Austin was very helpful considering we arrived quite late, following our flight and an initial wrong turn. He assisted us to access the car park and access the unit and showed us around, he had prepared a list with helpful tips also. Austin was going away and had a relative staying to mind the cat and the unit, he did leave his contact details. The unit was modern, clean, close to public transport and shops. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.
It a beautiful, modern apartment located in the suburb of Dublin. The room for the two of us was adequate and comfortable. The mattress was firm. The room had plenty of space to hang our clothes and store our two large suitcases. The private bathroom is modern and located outside the bed room. We had full access to the living room and kitchen (which we did not use). Austin created space for us to put milk, etc in the refrigerator and supplies in the cabinet. If we wanted to, we could have easily cooked our breakfast/lunch/dinner. The kitchen has a microwave and dishwasher. There is a good clothes washer which was of great help to us after our long trek in the Dingle Way. We were very close to the Luas to go to the city. Bus to the airport stops near the apartment (10-15 minutes walk). Austin was most helpful and available for help even when out of town. Upon arrival, we called Austin. He came to meet us at the train station to guide us to his apartment (located on the third floor). The area is safe to walk. Nearby, there are two supermarkets, cafes, and several restaurants . Except for Pizza Hut, all close around 9 pm. We could park our rented car in the underground parking lot. Austin provided us with a list of suggested restaurants in Dublin which was great help. Although we did not have much time to spend with him (he went for vacation and left a friend to see after us), he and his friend were most charming and helpful. Driving out of the apartment to various places of interest was very easy. Travel to the "city" took about 15 minutes and cost 2.5 Euros each way. You do not miss anything by not staying in the city. Luas runs until midnight and thus we did not miss any thing in the city. Once you figure out how to get from the apartment to the Luas station, life will be very easy (twice we got lost). Have Austin draw a map for you o make your life easy. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to stay again at his apartment should we ever return back to Dublin. We have stayed a many other airbnb places and his will rank among the best. We would recommend his place to our friends and children. His cat, Mitzi, is very friendly and was a pleasure to meet and play with.
Austin is a delightful host, very helpful and accommodating, with such a lovely home! It's a great location for using public transit, and just a short commute to city center. My boyfriend and I are so grateful to have found such a wonderful place to stay!
Me and my dad stayed at Austin's place for two nights. It was perfect. Incredibly clean and quiet at night which is what we were looking for. It takes 20 minutes to the city of Dublin by tram near where he lives. As we were out until late both days, we didn't have a chance to spend much time with him and Shem. However we had a small chat and they were both really friendly and helpful with advice. We loved Dublin.
I have stayed at Austin's place for about 15 days. The room was clean and tidy, and the apartment has a big living room. I had my own bathroom which was great and Austin allowed me to make full use of his kitchen appliances and spices. Austin is a very nice guy, he was always there when I wanted to talk or had any questions. I would recommend his place to everybody.
Austin's flat is perfect..! Everything was excellent.. He picked us up at the Luas station and showed us all we need to know about the city while we're having a cup of tea. We stayed there almost a week and it really was the best decision. If we come back again, we'll definitely contact Austin. The Luas station is less than 5 min walking and the city it's almost 20 min... Also is the Aircoach stop... 5 out 5 stars...!
Absolutely loved Austin's apartment. It was clean, spacious, had its own bathroom and had a nice modern finish throughout. It was a good location for us (close to friends living in sandyford) and we were 15-20 min ride via Luas into the centre of Dublin and is very easy to find if you travel by aircoach from the airport, just ensure you stick to Austin's directions!!!
Austin was only only there to greet us before he left for the weekend but he still had time to make us coffee and brownies, give us some maps of Dublin and write down a few places to visit to eat and drink which was really helpful. He had no problem with us using the kitchen to prepare our own food which was great as there were a few local stores within walking distance as well as some nice bars and restaurants near beacon court.
Moreover Austin's cat Mitzy was adorable, she was always there to greet us when we got home and was so cute when she told you she wanted to go outside onto the balcony or come back in.
I'd be happy to stay at Austin's when visiting dublin again as we really enjoyed staying there and Austin was great in communicating with us, responding within a couple of minutes. I can defo recommend Austin (the little of him we saw) and his apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Dublin.
This was my first experience with Airbnb, and I loved it! Austin's apartment is very modern, spacious and tastefully decorated. The bedroom and bathroom are warm and clean, and I also had the use of the kitchen and living room. It really felt like home. Austin is a nice host, very friendly and helpful. He managed to get me a private underground parking space, and invited me for a glass of wine at night:) I would highly recommend Austin's lovely apartment if you are looking for a comfortable and decent place to stay in Dublin, as the host, the apartment and the area are superb!
What a fantastic stay! I only wish we could have spent more than three days. This was our first time in Ireland and Austin gave us great directions and loads of help finding his place and getting around. He welcomed us with some tea and a good conversation the night we arrived about what to do in Dublin, how to get around, etc. and gave us so many good suggestions for things to see, places to eat, and such. The room itself was beautiful and really comfortable and the living area is so nice. Though we weren't in the apartment much, as we spent as much time as we could out and about, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend him as a host for others.
