We have recently remodeled four wide rooms , all with private bath, hot water and air conditioned.
One room is only for two people with a queen bed, another one has queen bed and a single bed, and two rooms have queen bed and a two stairs bed, for an occupancy of four people.
we don't have TV sets and telephone in the rooms, but there is free Wi-Fi in the rooms and in the restaurant, Il Giardino en la Playa!!, that is facing the Ocean front.
The furniture are simple but functional, the bed of good quality and the cleaning and hygiene are absolutely of first importance for us, both for the rooms and for the preparation of our legendary recipes.
We are located at 100 metres East from the Public Pier, directly on the fine sand Beach, where sea turtles come to feed on the weeds of the bottom, and where is possible to watch a lot of sea bird and Dolphins.
In the Mangroves in the back of the Hotel lives a group of Capucine Monkeys that, often come to eat the fruit of the restaurant while Scarlet macaws come to feed on the Almond trees of the front , on the beach.
The bus stop is at 800-900 metres from us, the ferry boat from Golfito is docking at the Public pier, at 150 metres, and the road from S. Jose' is now almost perfect.
for staying of any length, is possible to study some kind of plan that include breakfast, lunch and dinner, in any combination, up to offer sandwiches made with our fresh made bread to the people that want to hike of do some sea tour, all things that we can help to organize directly, using our net or safe and professional collaborators, including too flights reservation and car renting.
We booked a room with Giulio to go into the Corcovado park from Puero Jimenez. We felt really welcome from the start. Nice room and good food in the restaurant. (email hidden) for just a beer at the waterfront!
Giulio and his family were great! The room is exactly as it was pictures. Very clean with neat views of mangroves through the window. It was just what we needed after our intense 3-day adventure through Corcovado. I would greatly recommend staying here and you absolutely HAVE to eat at their restaurant. The best pasta I've ever had! Better than some of the dishes I had in Italy. There aren't many options in Puerto Jimenez, but this one is doing all the right things. Thank you Guilio for opening your door for us.
Second night staying with this host (we stayed one night before hiking Corcovado and one night after) - second night was as good as the first!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The accommodations are modest but all you really need, and the location is great (right on the water). Giulio and Cecilia are very friendly hosts that made our stay simple; they even held our luggage during our trip to Corcovado for three days.
Quick walk into town (try the bakery for breakfast, it was great!) and with a few umbrella tables across the street - great place to enjoy the view (email hidden) from the on-site restaurant.
Overall simple accommodations, but clean and well hosted. Recommended!
I stayed there with two other family members in the same room and we had a good time. The food was terrific at the restaurant location was perfect on the water and the room was good to sleep in. Giulio went out of his way to help us find a bus and taxi and answer any questions we had.
We arrived late due to some car troubles and Giulio was very accommodating staying up and cooking our group of four an amazing dinner. Order the fish soup.
My sister and I had a great time and the room and private bath are quite large. The place is in a great location- you can walk to beaches, mangroves, town and many restaurants. However, I highly recommend eating many of your meals at the house restaurant as the food was fresh and amazing. So fresh- I ordered a dish with pesto and they went around to the garden and picked the basil!! This is a great location to visit in Costa Rica as it is not as crowded since it is so far south and there is much to do- boat rides, beaches, trips to national parks are all within reach for day trips from this location. We were there for five days and still did not do everything.
I did read in a previous review that the neighboring places play some loud late night music so I came prepared with ear plugs and had no problems.
We had a great time staying with Giulio and he (email hidden)ulio locked our suitcases away for us the days we were hiking in Corcavado and had them ready for us when we returned. Giulio's restaurant Il Giardino was best meal I had in Costa Rica! Everything was fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here!
I only stayed one day at Giulio to get the permits for the Corcovado hike, but he was very accommodating and the breakfast was tasty.
