“Live close to nature and your spirit will not be easily broken, for you learn something of patience and resilience. You will not grow restless, and you will never feel lonely.”
― Ruskin Bond, A Book of Simple Living: Brief Notes from the Hills

The property, called Hamlet House overlooks a valley and offers 180-degree views of the majestic Himalayan range. The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood, perfect for a mountain getaway.

The space
Hamlet House, to say the least, is a labour of love. It is a modern house, designed for comfort, yet has the feel of a cosy cottage in the hills. The décor is inspired from different parts of India. The main door, for example has been sourced from Pondicherry, and the furniture, from Rajasthan. It is an amalgamation of the old and new. The wooden furniture adds to the warmth of the house, while colourful rugs, mosaic tiles and pops of colour on the walls add a bohemian vibe.

For travellers looking to unwind, this is the ideal place. One can walk through the lush green forests, speckled with brightly coloured rhododendrons, sip on some hot chocolate while sitting in front of the fireplace, read a book in a cosy corner, enjoy bonfires under starry nights and much more.

There are three bedrooms, all with attached balconies. The rooms are on the first floor, with the kitchen, living room and dining area on the ground floor. All three bedrooms have been tastefully done up and have a charm of their own. All bedrooms have offer stunning views of the mighty Himalayas, possibly the best views to wake up to.

This home is best suited for families and groups looking to spend quality time together, not party seekers. It is important to maintain the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. Please make note of this, in order to avoid a mismatch in expectations during your stay.
