For rent is an adorable vintage chic room with a full bed, dresser, large closet, complete access to a bathroom, kitchen, dining area and huge living room. The room is in a 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartment located on the first floor of a tree lined block and is a 15 minute train ride to Times Square and 2 minute walk to Central Park. Conveniently located 3 blocks from the 1 and B/C/E trains and right near the 2 & 3 express trains. The neighborhood has tons of shops and restaurants right around the corner.
My two female roommates will be staying in the apartment in their own seperate rooms. They both work full time and will be out the entire day and some nights. They are clean, easy-going mid-twenty year olds. The bathroom would be shared with one of my roommates, but if it's an issue, she won't mind using the other one during your stay so you can have it all to yourself.
I am currently a pharmacy student and am going home for the holidays. Feel free to message me with any questions you have! :)
The private room, the bathroom, the living room, the kitchen, fridge also. Feel free to use our pans/ silverware/ plates and dishwasher if you feel like staying in and cooking. :) Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions!
As often as needed. I normally contact guests a week before their stay and find out their time coming in and make sure someone is able to meet them with a key. I have also sent keys to those who arrive at inconvenient times or our neighbor and friend Tony also has no problem meeting guests as well. So this is not an issue.
I contact guests the day of or before and let them know where they can find clean towels and other amenities and let them know to contact me with any questions or concerns. :)
I LOVE the UWS! It's clean and quiet when you want a home to come to and a good night's rest. But it is also so close to everything- Times Square, Union Square, West Village, 5th Ave, Columbia, Soho, TriBeCa, East Village. We are so close to the subway, it makes it very easy and takes no time to get anywhere from here.
We are also a mere 4 blocks a way from Central Park! One of my favorite things.
There are also TONS of restaurants and shops around the neighborhood that are quite wonderful.
Yes!! There is the 1 train 3 blocks away from us on 103rd and Broadway- which is just one stop from the 2/3 express (email hidden). (Which is two stops away from Times Square).
There is also the B/C/E trains 4 blocks away from
us as well.
The M63 bus also stops at 107th and Broadway around the corner from us.
Feel free to use our clean towels!
Really nice and clean place. I really enjoyed that time staying there:)
Kori's location was fantastic! At first my wife and I thought it might be a little bit removed from the city's center, but it ended up being an ideal location- two short blocks from a subway, and a 15 minute ride to the Wall St area. We loved that it was not a touristy area and we got a little bit of a "local" flavor. Kori was incredibly responsive and communicative, even during the holiday season. Her room was great and the apartment was comfortable and attractive. Only one of Kori's roommates was at home during our stay and she was friendly and pleasant. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend this place!
We had a reservation with flexible check-in for 6 nights. The night before we arrived, we tried to contact Kori to know what time for the check-in would suit her. She never answered.
After waiting for almost 3 hours (until 9:15pm), we were able to access to the room. We never met Kori. She never answered any of our texts, phone calls, voice mails or emails. The person who opened the door was a new roommate who was not aware that Kori rent her room. She was kindly enough to open the door when we showed her the reservation. Then 1 hour later (around 10:30pm), a second roommate arrived. She gave us a key and welcomed us on behalf of Kori.
As far of today, we still had no feedback from Kori.
BTW, the living room was unfurnished due to the moving process and obviously did not correspond to the pictures.
Despite that, the room was ok (but very hot!!! with a full size bed), we had a wifi access and a private bath. Moreover, the two roommates were nice even if we didn't have a lot of time to talk. The building is also in a relatively safe and nice area with a lot of bars and restaurants. Here are the reasons why I put 2 stars and not only one.
Overall, it was weird for a first experience with AirBnB but it seems happen often in New York area. I'm sure that it's just a question of bad timing as all other reviews are good but, anyway, the fact that Kori never answered is really not cool!
Loved my stay at Kori's. She wasn't there herself, but made sure everything ran smoothly. Perfect location in a great neighourhood!
Kori was sweet as could be and very quick and thorough with all communication. Her roommate was also very friendly and helpful. The apartment and room was exactly as described and pictured, and the area was safe and quiet. The apartment is close to many dining choices, as well as a short walk to several groceries and subway stations. We will defininitely use airbnb in the future, and we would love to stay at Kori's place again as well.
We stayed at Kori's place for 12 days, everything was fine. Actually, we have never met her,
but on arrival, someone was waiting for us. Btw., there were 4 of us (2 kids) which was no problem. The pictures quite accurately show the place. I highly recommend it.
Kori's place was wonderful! I would recommend it to anyone visiting the beautiful city of New York.
This apartment is 7-10 minutes walking distance to the nearest metro lines, and about 10-15 minutes to downtown and many place of interests. So it is very convenient. If you just need an affordable and quiet place to sleep and most of the time you will be outside, this apartment and its location is perfect for you.
I stayed at Kori's place for 5 days and it was great!
The pictures show exactly what the place looks like. I never got to meet Kori but her housemates were friendly and helpful. The app. is close to the subway, supermarkets, a Starbucks. I think the location is great since you can get a different flavor of NYC if u want to relax a bit after the bustle of Times Square and surrounding areas. If you go in the summer, the room may be a bit warm. I'd strongly recommend Kori's place +D
Kori is a great host with very nice and friendly roommates. Everything was well-organized. The apartment is brilliantly situated. We'll definitely recommend everyone to rent a room here.
