This is a private apartment and not just a room. It has a complete kitchen, full bath, living room /dining area, 1 bedroom, A/C, TV, WiFi and a shared swimming pool. There is a queen size bed and we add a single bed when there is a third guest.
When we were building the Monkey Suite we were almost finished with it and we still didn't know what to name it and than a few of our neighbors (monkeys) dropped by to see it and without saying a word to us, we knew what to name it. The Monkey Suite is a 1 bedroom apartment with 1 bath, kitchen and living room. It has great jungle and ocean views, with plenty of wildlife just outside of your windows.
If the Monkey Suite isn't available for your specific dates, please view our other 4 apartments that are spread out on the property. Simply click on our photograph and than look on the lower left side of the new page to see them.
When you stay at the "Monkey Suite" you will enjoy our pool and large covered rancho where you can sit back and relax. The rancho has a hammock, tables and chairs and a TV. It's the perfect place to have your breakfast or lunch as you watch the boats go in and out of the marina. It's also a great place to meet a few of our other guests from all around the world.
We are a short 10 minute drive to the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park with it's beautiful beaches and exotic wildlife. It is only a short walk to central Quepos, less than 10 minutes, where you will find local restaurants, clothing shops, gift stores, art gallery's, pharmacy's, groceries and almost anything else you might need. You can also visit our local farmers market every Friday and Saturday, where you can try some of our exotic fruits or home baked pastries, it's just a 5 minute walk from our villa and is located right on the oceans edge in front of the marina.
There are many interesting things to do during your stay. Surfing, canopy tours, sunset cruises, white water rafting, guided tours through the national park and so much more.
If you would like, we can provide private transportation to and from San Jose and help arrange all of your tours to help make your Costa Rica Vacation unforgettable.

Nice place and nice people. Martha and Douglas made sure we would find the place easily. The apartment is up the hill, as described, with a great view on the ocean, the sunset and the marina.
Doug and Marta were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The suite was named right as we seen monkeys a couple mornings when we were there. We were meeting friends in the area so didn't spend much time around the place. If you are new to travel in central America this place may feel a little rustic but if you are not new to central America this place is perfect.
This is an incredibly special place. Ask Marta about the story about how she got a beautiful, one-piece pool to the top of the little mountain on which she has chosen to build her haven of a complex of beautiful apartments. And our suite was true to its name in that we did once see monkeys (including a baby with mamma) from our living room windows! Marta was very helpful in booking a last minute tour. Easy, safe, 15 minute walk to town down the hill. We drove and the road up to the complex was quite steep and rugged in places but navigable with Marta's precise instructions and helpful map. A great place to stay! Oh, and the view is amazing too.
We had an excellent at Marta and Douglas' place in! Marta was there to greet us when we arrived despite being late coming in from San Jose. They were very helpful with recommending areas to visit restaurants and helping us hire some tours! Would definitely stay there again, the property was beautiful!

We stayed in La Casita the first time around and both are great places. We really enjoyed the layout but sometimes either upstairs neighbors or possibly animals on the roof were a bit noticeable. Otherwise still a fantastic place great views and everything you would need.
This is the most beautiful homely setting for relaxation, comes complete with swimming pool, furry friends and wonderful hosts Marta and Doug. We enjoyed our time in 2 different suites and loved our morning wake up calls from the gorgeous white faced monkeys. We saw beautiful birds and these monkeys right from our suite - much more than could be seen in the National Park. Highly Recommended place to stay here.
What a incredible place! Our hosts Marta and Douglas made our trip. The location is a little remote just far enough away from the Quepos within walking distance if your not challenged. Our group is in there 55 -70 age group. Marta was kind enough to arrange everything we needed and then some!
If you want tranquility and nature this is the place.
Clean, relaxing and just perfect. They have 2 dogs Zuess and Betoven that visited us every morning (we are dog lovers) They were always on monkey alert....let us know when to get our cameras!
The view is spectacular! We will definately be back. I can only wish our next airbnb can be half as great as this experience!
The other travellers staying here we great. Its a 5 unit place so everyone is very friendly.
Our unit was as shown on airbnb. No surprises.

I have a very outgoing personality and love to dance, cook and laugh. I enjoy meeting and helping people. I love to travel throughout my country and other countries as well. My husband Douglas and I have been married for 25 years and have two daughters, Bianca 23 and Sandy 18. Both girls attend the university in San Jose. Both Douglas and I were born and raised in Quepos and we think that with all of the lovely areas in Costa Rica, that the Quepos/Manuel Antonio are is the most beautiful.
I like to dance and cook as well. Although I am not as outgoing as my wife, I do enjoy meeting other people. I have worked for the national electric company "ICE for 27 years as a maintenance supervisor. I like to travel and enjoy seeing other areas of our beautiful country. We slowly built on our property over the years and enjoy sharing it with others. Now with the pool and rancho completed I think we are finally finished.
