Quiet Comfort in Naturalist's Flat

Apartment - Entire home/apt · E 13th St, New York, NY 10003, United States

Spacious studio one block from the 3rd ave L, 2 blocks from Union Sq. Everything you need to feel at home in the city: kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker, huge bathroom, elevator and gorgeous lobby. Blow dryer, linens/towels, iron.

The Space

Think of this as an open-concept one-bedroom! this spacious studio apartment has a separate kitchen and a long hallway separating the sleeping area from the bathroom, so that even for a studio it feels like a one-bedroom.

enjoy all the amenities of a hotel but for a fraction of the price and double the comfort (and none of that nasty hall smell):

Brand new wall air conditioner with remote control

Queen sized, memory foam bed

49" TV, DVD player, and Roku box with access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Pandora and more! (no cable)

wireless internet

ample heating in winter

full kitchen

Keurig Coffee maker and an assortment of coffees and teas

dining table with comfy seats

elevator (4th floor apartment)

fresh linens, towel and hairdryer

iron

windows face the rear of the building so this place is exceptionally quiet!

Huge bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash

steps to the L, N, Q, R, 4, 5, 6 trains, only a block from Union Square where there are tons of shops, restaurants, farmer's market, art market, playground and dog run.

wonderful block, across the street from Booker and Dax, the East Village's newest cocktail bar. Also shares a block with Momofuku, one of the highest rated restaurants in NYC and Milk bar, where you can get the most delicious cookies, pies and ice cream and of course fancy coffees and pastries for breakfast.

PARKING

you might be able to find a spot on the street and you can pay for it at one of those little pay stations across from the building, OR you can park in the garage up the street (about two blocks on 12th between 4th and broadway), it is called Impark and the price fluctuates but I believe it is around $35/24 hours.

Guest Access

exclusive access to this stunning apartment, you can also use the laundry room in the basement and the roof deck in the summer.

Interaction with Guests

I try to stay out of the way most of the time, but I live nearby so I can come over to solve any problems within an hour.

The Neighborhood

There are tons of amazing restaurants and bars around, plus it has access to every other neighborhood via Union Sq. If you like to cook or drink at home, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and the Trader Joe's Wine shop are just around the corner.

Getting around

The L train is one block away, the Union Sq trains are 2 blocks away (L,4,5,6,N,Q,R), there are also buses that go uptown (to the UN etc.) and downtown (Freedom Tower) so you can see the city as you travel.

  • Carrie's place is fantastic! My wife and I stayed for a week and everything about Carrie's apartment was exactly as "advertised". The location is excellent-quick access to public transportation, plenty of restaurants and stores. Carrie was available when we needed her and very accommodating. We will definitely stay at Carrie's place again. We highly recommend Carrie as a host!

  • Carrie's apartment was exactly what we were looking for! It was clean, comfortable and quiet. She stocked the apartment with coffee and tea just as she said and we found a Trader Joes close by!! We will have to say that we would stay there over and over if available, my daughter just moved to NYC in May. Thank you so much Carrie and Kelly !!!

    Je recommande +++++++++++ !!!

  • Very cute apartment with a spectacular location. Momofuku, Milk Bar, Baohaus, and Vanessa's Dumplings are all within a block or two. Cheap delicious food paradise! And it was more spacious than most New york apartments--I didn't feel like I was always bumping into things.

About
I am from California but have lived in NYC for 4 years. I do improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade. I fell in love with the East Village because I love discovering all the little wine bars and funky restaurants that spring up around me. I have lived in the area for a year and still discover new places all the time. It's also great for people watching and feeling a bit cozier in a huge city. As a guest and a host I aim to be amicable. I can either share a drink with you or leave you alone, I just want to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. I am very low-maintenance as a guest and as a host I prefer guests who are the same.
