About this listing
Spacious studio one block from the 3rd ave L, 2 blocks from Union Sq. kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker, huge bathroom, elevator and gorgeous lobby.
Think of this as an open-concept one-bedroom! this spacious studio apartment has a separate kitchen and a long hallway separating the sleeping area from the bathroom, so that even for a studio it feels like a one-bedroom.
enjoy all the amenities of a hotel but for a fraction of the price and double the comfort (and none of that nasty hall smell):
Brand new wall air conditioner with remote control
Queen sized, memory foam bed
49" TV, DVD player, and Roku box with access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Pandora and more! (no cable)
ample heating in winter
Keurig Coffee maker and an assortment of coffees and teas
dining table with comfy seats
elevator (4th floor apartment)
fresh linens, towel and hairdryer
windows face the rear of the building so this place is exceptionally quiet!
Huge bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash
steps to the L, N, Q, R, 4, 5, 6 trains, only a block from Union Square where there are tons of shops, restaurants, farmer's market, art market, playground and dog run.
wonderful block, across the street from Booker and Dax, the East Village's newest cocktail bar. Also shares a block with Momofuku, one of the highest rated restaurants in NYC and Milk bar, where you can get the most delicious cookies, pies and ice cream and of course fancy coffees and pastries for breakfast.
you might be able to find a spot on the street and you can pay for it at one of those little pay stations across from the building, OR you can park in the garage up the street (about two blocks on 12th between 4th and broadway), it is called Impark and the price fluctuates but I believe it is around $35/24 hours.
exclusive access to this stunning apartment (nothing is shared, it's all for you!).
There is no smoking permitted anywhere in the apartment or building.
Interaction with Guests
I try to stay out of the way most of the time, but I live nearby so I can come over to solve any problems within an hour.
There are tons of amazing restaurants and bars around, plus it has access to every other neighborhood via Union Sq. If you like to cook or drink at home, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and the Trader Joe's Wine shop are just around the corner.
The L train is one block away, the Union Sq trains are 2 blocks away (L,4,5,6,N,Q,R), there are also buses that go uptown (to the UN etc.) and downtown (Freedom Tower) so you can see the city as you travel.
Be respectful but enjoy yourselves. Keep it quiet.
NO SMOKING IN THE APARTMENT
Feel free to enjoy my books and videos etc., but they are not souvenirs.
The lock box out front should be fully shut when not in use. PLEASE put one set of keys in the lock box by 11 on your check-out day, this is VERY important for the next guests to get in.
Please do not leave a review (unless you feel you need to), if you would like a review from me please ask, I generally do not do them.
We loved staying at this apartment! It's cozy, very clean und close to the subway. We definitely recommend staying here!
The apartment was very nice and comfortable (and an aspecially comfortable mattress...). I felt safe there the whole time.
We could get everywhere easily with the subway or even walking.
When we had a problem, help was there in no time.

About the Host, Carrie
I am from California but have lived in NYC for 4 years. I do improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade. I fell in love with the East Village because I love discovering all the little wine bars and funky restaurants that spring up around me. I have lived in the area for a year and still discover new places all the time. It's also great for people watching and feeling a bit cozier in a huge city.
As a guest and a host I aim to be amicable. I can either share a drink with you or leave you alone, I just want to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy.
I am very low-maintenance as a guest and as a host I prefer guests who are the same.
