2015, a very special year for Bristol as European Green Capital. We are very excited about welcoming visitors to come and enjoy our city.
More than one night's stay preferred.
Our beautiful Victorian house, Quantock Lodge, is close to Bristol city centre, in Redland. The double room with ensuite (shower) is large, sunny and comfortable with a king size bed. There are tea and coffee-making facilities in the room.
We are just round the corner from the vibrant Gloucester Road, possibly the longest road of independent shops, cafes and restaurants in the country. Excellent rail links connect us from Redland station to Bristol's mainline station at Temple Meads where you can pick up trains to anywhere in the UK and the coach to Bristol airport. Most of Bristol's main venues are 15-20 mins walk from our house. Buses around Bristol can be caught 2 mins walk away.
We have a very friendly old Springer Spaniel dog and young King Charles Spaniel.
Breakfast is provided on request at no extra cost. Guests may use the sitting room with TV. There is Internet connection throughout the house. Many and various local bars & restaurants are within a few minutes walk & we are happy to make recommendations.
Guests have access to the dining room for breakfast and the sitting room at any time.
Interaction with Guests
We are here to help our guests enjoy their visit to Bristol.
Our local neighbourhood is bustling and vibrant. The local shops and restaurant less than 5 minutes walk away. However our street is quiet and residential and we know all our neighbours.
Our home is well served by local buses and a single track railways line from the mainline station at Bristol Temple Meads. The centre of town is 5 minutes away on a bus. Bristol University is less than 10 minutes on a bus. Clifton Village is 15 minutes bus ride away.
We are offering our ensuite guest bedroom with king size bed. We will provide breakfast on request at no extra cost. We do not want visitors to bring their own food back to our house to eat. We do not accommodate children. There is a warm, sunny sitting room with TV and wifi Internet access. Guests to be "home" by 11.30pm unless by prior agreement with host.
Sarah made both myself and my colleague very welcome. Gorgeous house and lovely accommodation. We hope to see you again soon and thank you
A very warm welcome from Sarah and a lovey room in a gorgeous house with primroses and camellias in full bloom in front garden. Everything was just as expected, comfy warm and light room. Breakfast was also good, 'Sarah's sumptuous slightly sloppy' marmalade deserving a special mention. We want the recipe!
Sarah made us very welcome in her lovely home. The room was very comfortable and well-appointed with everything we needed. The position was ideal for us and we had a lovely weekend in Bristol. We would definitely stay with Sarah again and are very happy to recommend this accommodation.
A return visit for me to Sarah's home. A welcoming host and excellent accommodation. Highly recommended in all respects.
Sarah was extremely welcoming and helpful. We felt very comfortable in her lovely home. The ensuite room was lovely; peaceful, spacious and light with a beautifully comfortable bed. We had everything we could want in a great location within easy reach of interesting shops and cafes. Highly recommended.
Sarah was fantastic. She greeted us with maps and information that was perfect for us and helped us navigate Bristol and have the weekend we had hoped for.
The house was in a great location and we were able to walk everywhere.
The room was spacious, private and spotless and an exceptionally comfy bed.
The perfect Airbnb experience.

We are a well travelled couple who enjoy holidaying around Britain and Europe. My husband and I are both very active and love the outdoors - we are both British Rowing umpires and spend many summer weekends at rowing events. We love skiing in the winter, usually in France and Italy. Our everyday exercise includes walking our dogs in the lovely local woodlands and open Downs in Bristol.
