Pat & Joe's is exactly as it is stated. We had everything we needed for 2 months. The kitchen is stocked with utensils and dishes, along with a full sized refrigerator and stove. There are several Tiendas 1/2 block from the apartment, and an organic store/restaurant (Via Organica) is a 20 min. walk. Thank you Pat & Joe for providing a great place to stay in San Miguel.

We stayed in this apartment for two months. It was nice and big and bright, lots of art, a well equipped kitchen, and an amazing garden filled with les objets d'arts and beautiful local plants, cacti, and humming birds!! The hosts, both artists, are a really super couple, very responsive to any issues ( like a toilet problem ) fixed within a couple of hours, and very involved in their local community. The house is in the middle class neighbourhood of Mexiquito just the other side of Fabrica Aurora Art Studios. There are lots of neighborhood stores (tiendas) to buy all your grocery needs within a few doors from the house to a couple of blocks from the house. It is a good 20 minute walk to El Jardin and everywhere you walk it feels very safe and secure. I really liked the fact that we were not right in El Centro, surrounded by tourists all the time, but in a mexican neighborhood where you could have a deeper experience with the culture and the locals and the feeling of Mexico. The locals are just the most helpful and kindest of people, the local produce is all of the highest quality, and the local restaurants are just great. The more local you eat, ie: neighborhood resto, the better the experience. All in all it was a wonderful winter break . If there is an availability with Pat and Joe - grab it !! You will have a very worthwhile experience indeed.

It has been great staying here. I had been traveling around the US - stuck in motel rooms most of the time so, to have a whole apartment and two people to talk to most days has been incredibly refreshing. The bus is very handy and the property is very close to the town center, I would definitely recommend this property as a place to stay.

My fiance and I LOVED our stay at Pat and Joe's. The apartment itself was larger than we expected. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped and it was very clean. We use WiFi for our work, and it was very fast and reliable. The apartment is located at the front of a very large house, so we rarely saw Pat and Joe unless we went to sit in the gorgeous back garden. The home is filled with Joe's beautiful sculptures and felt like our own personal gallery. Pat and Joe are very welcoming, and we spent some lovely afternoons chatting to them in the garden. Their three little dogs are adorable and well behaved. There is a small market about a block away from the apartment that has all the essentials. And the walk to the main square with all the shopping and sightseeing took us about 15 minutes walking at a brisk pace. The neighborhood feels very safe and the neighbors are super friendly. I would absolutely recommend Pat and Joe's apartment. We felt like old friends in the house from the first moment we arrived, and I couldn't have asked for a abetter experience in San Miguel.

- Diane
