The studio appartment is in a bright and quiet side street on floor ground. You have a small public park just over the street and the metro stop Noeldnerplatz in 3min, just one station from Ostkreuz, which is the entrance to trendy and nightlife district Friedrichshain, but from where you can even easily reach all the central sightseeing attractions of Berlin in only a few minutes. Emanuelstrasse is even close to river Spree and the great parks of Treptow.
Our apartment is 45 m2 big and has 2 joinable beds and a guest bed. The apartment has a living / sleeping room and a open kitchen/entrance room. There is also a bathroom with shower.
In the apartment there are large-and small-format prints from the series "Fiori"by Maruska Mazza

We stayed at Maruska's place for a weekend. I ve got nothing to say than just awesome! Friendly welcome, comfortable bed, a set of rolled towels, cable, decent WiFi and pasta with pesto in bonus! :) Free parking all down the street. One can get to Alexanderplaats in appr 10 min!
We really loved our stay in Maruska's flat! We received such a lovely welcome from Sara when we finaly got to flat at around midnight. The spaghetti and pasta was very well received by my fiance as he was actually starving. :) We had to have another bowl on Saturday evening after we overslept our nap (4:00 pm to 10:00 pm!!!! - the bed is sooo comfy!!) and were just too lazy to look for a place to eat. :) So thank you. Very thoughtful! The Berliner Kindl was nice too, Sara. :)
There is not much to add, as everything was just perfect. Flat was super clean, nicely done and I have to mention the comfy bed again!! :)
The location for us was perfect as we had to attend a wedding in Koepenick while being there and it was also easy to get to the main attractions (okay the S-Bahn was closed due to construction that weekend, but the replacement buses ran like clockwork anyway - so that wasnt a problem really).
Check in/Check out with no hassle at all and the communication was great. Top!
Thank you so much Sara and Maruska! I can only recommend!
We have enjoyed the stay at Maruska's place. It is clean and tidy. There's a second bed, which may become handy sometimes. Sara, the girl who met us was very nice and warm. The room is pretty basic though and I think the sink is a bit too small.
Lovely welcome from Sarah, and a lovely apartment, very clean and thoughtfully furnished. Welcome spaghetti and sauce as I arrived on a sunday! Good area, quiet and safe to return to late at night, and convenient S bahn for the airport and through the city. Really enjoyed my stay and felt like I was really part of living in Berlin! Close to a S Bahn and supermarket, and a bakerai, but not on the party party route... which was fine for me! Thankyou Maruska and Sarah... I will be back!
Maruska was super friendly, she left me with some great advice on what and when to visit, that I followed and had a great time. Apartment is great for its price, and two stations away of Kreuzberg for whenever you feel like going to a bar or restaurant. Liked it!
Everything has worked really great. The apartment was exactly what we expected it to be after seeing the pictures, it's clean and very well planned.
The place is exactly like the pictures and the lofted bed is actually super cozy. Maruska left us chocolates and pasta with pesto to make our first meal--very nice touch! Between her Italian, my Spanish, her English, and my dad's few years of college German we managed to get the important information and get her personal tips for venturing around Berlin. Maruska was welcoming, down to earth, she has created a very sweet space and she also was helpful in booking the cab for us on our super early return flight New Year's Day--didn't even have to remind her!
Only a couple little bumps in the road: a) location wise, the place is a bit off the beaten path and the neighborhood doesn't offer much and isn't a place you would want to hang around--a relic of east berlin--charmless and kinds desolate(at least in winter). Metro is only 5min. walking distance(noldnerplatz is the closest stop)--and only one stop away from Ostkreuz--however, don't mistake it for being in the kreuzberg neighborhood.
b) cab from airport cost about $30 euro--don't think it's difficult to metro but might want to inquire before hand if dropping that much cash right off the bat seems expensive.
c) Maruska greeted us but was still inside the apt. cleaning and preparing it when we arrived. Not a big deal because we were anxious to walk and move around a bit after the flight anyway, but we didn't get to settle in right away which was you know... Just the way it went.
Maruska was a perfect host: very friendly, reliable and helpful. She answered our accommodation request in no time.
The flat itself was very clean and nicely furnished.
We definitely would stay again in one of Maruska's flats.
Maruska was really helpful and nice. She is a perfect host. I highly recommend her.
This appartment was very clean and cosy.
It's a bit off-route from the Berlin highlights but the nearest S-Bahn is just a few blocks away!
The neighbourhood is quite and only a few stops from downtown. The apartment is fine and clean. And the host Maruska is very sweet and friendly.
It was first time using Airbnb and if this is the standard to expect – it is not the last. It was overall a pleasant experience.
