A spacious house with a stunning terrace overlooking the Côte d'Azur, in the historic village of St Jeannet, situated in the foothills of the Alpes Maritimes. Nestled against the famous Baou de St Jeannet the house is designed for indoor/outdoor living: patio dining, garden loungers, and an exterior shower with views stretching from Italy to the Var. In a quiet part of the village, local shops/restaurants are close-by. Mountain/valley walks also near, and the coast a short drive.

The space
Recently renovated, but once a medieval mill, the house has two spacious double bedrooms and two bathrooms; a large fully equipped kitchen and a lovely living room. Ideal for a family or two couples one can hide away relaxing on the sun drenched patio or enjoy the shops, museums, mountains and beaches of the region. There is a third garden double bedroom available on request during summer months that can take occupancy up to six. The house is in the oldest part of St Jeannet, hidden away with unobstructed views. In an authentic and unspoiled mountain village it is reached via a series of small 'ruelles' and steps .

Where you’ll be

Saint-Jeannet, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

Le Queirard is the oldest part of the historic village of St Jeannet, with its "calades" typical of hilltop villages. The calades are sloping streets, broken up by steps, to cancel out the effects of gullying. It is a characteristic of Provençal alleys and originates from the paving of Roman roads. Set at the foot of the village it is quiet, residential and medieval in character. Stone houses are adorned with bougainvillea, oleander and jasmine. Our property is at the far side of the green, planted Place du Queirard where in the C13th the village held its judicial meetings.
