  • Karen was fantastic! Really helpful, flexible and accommodating which was greatly appreciated. Karen's apartment is so clean, peaceful and quiet. Makes one feel like you are the only one living there. It has a view of a gorgeous garden which gives it a more relaxing feeling. Once outside you have awesome views of the city. Easy parking and a short walk to the grocery story, bakery and public transportation. I would highly recommend the apt and will definitely be coming back.

  • Karen's place was a great. Beautiful garden view, easy street parking, and not far from city hotspots. Checking in was a breeze, and Karen was great at accommodating our arrival time.

  • Karen's location was excellent being relatively in the center of the peninsula, we were a few minutes from everything in the city. Although, we were so comfortable there my wife and I had a hard time finding a reason to leave the house. The flower garden outside the back window is very appealing. Even better than watching TV, we saw a humming bird hover just outside the window. I noticed that someone reviewed about the bay window being kind of revealing to see inside the home, but that is untrue. As the hill behind blocks anyone from the houses behind from seeing in further than a couple of feet from the window. There is the folding shade she has to give better privacy but that would also block you from seeing the flower garden. Actually we did see a women up keeping the garden in the morning but as I was expecting to make eye contact with her to say hello, she never looked up. Possibly out of respect of privacy.
We booked the place in a very short amount of time because of an issue we had with another Airbnb location. She quickly replied and everything worked out great.
Karen's place was very livable with not much else needed from the guests side. She even had food in the fridge, that I had to admit I had to hold back from devouring .
Being from Hawaii, the summer weather in the city was still a bit too cold for us. She had a heater but we didn't need to go that far. We simply cuddled up near the gas fire place with a bottle of champagne.
Her book shelf and all of the little trinkets around the house are a very special touch to her home leaving an element of herself there. As if she was a family member letting you stay over, wanting to make you feel comfortable there.
The bed was more than comfortable with a fuzzy blanket added to her thick comforter. The pillows were very soft but still puffy enough to support your head comfortably.
The neighborhood is very clean and upscale compared to some other locations in the city. There is also lots of parking outside during all times of the day and evening. She has a shared laundry room with the floor of the building and even some detergent and softener for you to use at her place.

  • Really nice place, very quiet and we enjoyed the beautiful garden view. The king bed was great, and combined with the quiet we had the best sleep in weeks.

Street parking is very easy as well and we enjoyed the long-ish but scenic walks down to the Mission.

Karen was a wonderful and very responsive host!

  • We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Karen's apartment. It had a lovely garden outlook.
A supermarket is close by if you want to get supplied to cook, although Karen does leave a supply of some basic food items.
    Thanks again Karen.

  • Karen is a great host! She travelled all way long from the East Bay only to check us in. Her house was clean and in good condition. Recommended for anyone who would like a warm stay with affordable budget.

  • My daughter and I stayed in Karen's condo for 4 nights, along with my daughter's Chihuahua. We shared the king size bed, which was oh so comfy! There were sheets for sleeping on the couch, but we didn't need that extra sleeping space. The condo has a beautiful view of the back hill gardens outside.

Karen was a terrific communicator throughout the reservation process. She met us in person upon arrival, showed us the condo, gave us 2 sets of keys, and even walked with us to the nearby dog park, which Rocky loved!!! Karen had snacks and a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. And there were ample supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, linens, etc.). She was flexible on our departure time since no one was renting the condo the day we left.

The location of this condo is fantastic... free on-street parking, an easy 1-block walk to the Safeway grocery store, a beautiful 1-mile downhill walk to the BART Glen Park transit station, followed by a vigorous 1-mile uphill walk upon our return from activities in the heart of SF (we didn't want to wait for the bus). The condo residents were quiet, and we felt very safe in this area. One night, we ate dinner at a delicious French restaurant (Le P'tit Laurent), and another night, we enjoyed yummy sushi, which we bought at Safeway (which also houses a Starbucks Coffee shop).

I would definitely stay here again! Karen was a terrific host!

  • My husband and I stayed 5 nights at Karen's place. Karen is great host, she is nice and easy to communicate with. The house is clean and cozy. Area is quiet and safe and easy park on the street. 5 mins walking to Safeway. Just be ware of 2nd and 4th Mondays because it has street cleaning so you have to move a car between 10am and 12pm. We also had a cat and she was very comfortable at the place. I really enjoyed at Karen's place and will defiantly recommend it for anyone!

  • We had a great time at the apartment. Karen's even left us a basket of food. I can highly recommend staying there!

  • Karen was great. Offered to let me use her bike, which was unexpected!
Easy parking. Very easy checkin and checkout, which is not always the case.
Good sized apartment, and very quiet.
Bring eyeshades; the bedroom gets a fair amount of light in the am.
Highly recommended apartment with a great host.
