The Space

I am HAPPY to say I have 83 POSITIVE REVIEWS!! Welcome to my home in Clinton Hill/Bed Stuy. This is an entire flat all to yourself. My creative 1 bedroom apartment boasts 9 foot tin ceilings and just the right amount of space for your stay. By Brooklyn Standards this is a decent sized apartment. My place is right on the second floor of my building so you do NOT have to walk up a ton of stairs. I am a designer and always try to make my apartments feel like my home so anyone who stays at my place will have a unique experience and feel comfortable while traveling! I have high expectations for the people who stay at my apartment. Essentially I would like people to use my space just as I do. I take my shoes off at the door, and keep my place extremely clean to keep any NYC pests out. I have filled every hole in my walls to make sure that the only guests that stay are ones that pay! HAHA. My apartment is on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed Stuy. I am two blocks from the G train Bedford-Nostrand stop. I am about a 10 minute walk to Pratt, and a few stops from Williamsburg with easy access via train to Manhattan. (20 minutes to Union Square). There are quite a few great cafes and bars near my place and I will be happy to share with you my favorite ones. I look forward to having you stay at my place. My place is clean, comfortable, and provides an easy in and out of Brooklyn when traveling and touring around the city all day. Before booking please read the honest reviews of my space. I have more reviews than most places on airbnb and I am proud to say I have hosted since 2010.

I have 83 WONDERFUL reviews AND you can't beat my price! Book my place today and enjoy the holiday season in Brooklyn!

Interaction with Guests

I am available via text or phone during your stay.

The Neighborhood

My neighborhood is changing everyday with restaurants popping up and cafes. It is very close to many other areas I love. (Fort Greene, Williamsburg, Prospect Heights) I have always felt safe and so have the guests staying at my apartment.

Getting Around

There are quite a few bus lines near my street. With the G train Bedford-Nostrand stop only 2 blocks away it is really convenient to get around Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Other Things to Note

My apartment is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Just check out my 83 reviews!

House Rules

Shoes come off at the door. I try to be a quiet neighbor so I expect others to be mindful of stomping, screaming, or playing loud music. I would prefer that anyone that stays at my place does not engage with my neighbors...most people in my building don't know one another so if anyone asks who you are you say you are my cousins from out of town! :) I NEVER open the bathroom window because that light well is scary and who knows what is in there! Please turn off the lights when you leave and DOUBLE check that the gas on the stove is turned off. No really double check! My rules may sound harsh but I take a lot of pride in my space and would simply ask that while you are in my apartment to pretend like you are visiting your in-laws. Just be respectful and tidy and you will get a wonderful review to take with you to your next airbnb adventures.

Other details:

I now have a small garbage can and only use small bags from the supermarkets. This means I don't have garbage laying around for days.

I NOW HAVE A FRENCH PRESS. While I recommend getting out and going to a cafe in my neighborhood. I now supply coffee in my fridge and a FRENCH press you will find on my kitchen shelf if you are desperate. Just use the tea pot to boil the water and presto you are all set. Do not throw your coffee grinds into the sink. I think the best solution is to throw them with some water down the toilet.

If you use water out of my monster sized Brita filter in the fridge please fill er' up when you leave. There is a plastic pitcher to the left of the fridge you can use to fill it up easier.

IMPORTANT: Do not leave ANY FOOD in the Fridge unless it's condiments that won't spoil. Anything that you bought during your stay...please throw away before you leave. So no FRUIT or BREAD or MILK etc... that way the fridge is always left clean from anything that can spoil.

I don't leave garbage laying around due to little bugs called cockroaches....don't worry I have hermetically sealed you in my apartment...you will see a door sweep on my front door and I have also caulked/filled in almost every hole in my place to maintain a bug free zone. A lot of people in NYC do not caulk or fill in the holes...BUT I do and I honestly haven't seen a bug in my apartment since then. You can find small plastic bags for your garbage in a glass jar on the shelf in the kitchen. Feel free to add to my stock pile with your own.

I designed my bed so it looks like it floats....but don't worry it won't fall apart...that being said I wouldn't recommend putting too many people in that bed (if you know what I am saying). Some people complain about the size of my bed. It's a full size. It's not a QUEEN, or a KING...this is Brooklyn and it's the only size that fits. So please before you book my space...(if you are older and larger) this honestly isn't the apartment for you. I am 6'-2" and so is my boyfriend and we have no issues sleeping on the bed.

Towels are given to you in the beginning of your stay. Because most people stay for 5 days please only use the towels provided. Do not take any other towels unless you have let me know you need one. I need to make sure between my cleaners and my guests that laundry is coordinated properly.

If you bring your own towel please use that before using my stock pile. Just make sure before you leave you hang them over the shower or the bathroom door to dry so my cleaners can place them in the laundry basket.

I do provide shampoo and some body wash (I have a lot left over from previous guests) which is located on the blue shelf in my living room.

Most of the dresser is empty for your things and there is also room in the bedroom closet for hanging items...TRUST me you do NOT want to open that other closet in my living room.

When you leave the apartment to head back home...LEAVE all keys on the key hooks under the mini Empire State Building. Then take one of the extra keys near the Empire and lock the door behind you...then slide the key back under the apartment door. Super easy!

Another house rule is that you have to go to a bar called the Black Swan which is near KFC on Bedford near the G train and order a Hensley. It's a bacon infused bourbon with maple and orange bitters. It's my favorite drink! Check out Dyanco which is a new favorite bar of mine too. Also do not go to Colador Cafe...on DeKalb there is better coffee at the Kolache Company and a few other new cafes recently popped up too so try them out.

Thanks for staying at my place!
