The Space

Beautiful, clean, spacious, extremely BRIGHT with great views LOFT like studio in an ELEVATOR building located in a quiet TREE LINED block in THE HEART of the EAST VILLAGE.
The apartment is FULLY EQUIPPED with a QUEEN SIZED extra comfortable bed, fine linen and towels, hair-dryer, dinning table for two, extra large extremely comfortable sleeping couch, flat screen TV with full cable, WIFI.
The separate WINDOWED kitchen has everything needed for cooking, pots and pans, coffee maker, oven toaster and microwave. There is always coffee, refreshments and basics so you can cook your own breakfast.
The neighborhood is fantastic, the TRENDY and famous EAST VILLAGE with uncountable great restaurants, boutiques, thrift shops, flee markets, farmers market and much more. The TOMPKINS SQUARE PARK (Great park with playgrounds, a big dog run and many performance spaces where you can usually find something happening on the weekends. Sundays there (email hidden) w/ some good stuff) right around the corner.
EAST RIVER PARK is a couple of blocks away. This 57-acre park boasts amazing views of the East River, as well as an amphitheater, playgrounds, gardens, sports fields and courts, and walking and bike paths.
On the corner of the apartment there is 24 hour grocery (email hidden) with countless options for everything.
There are 2 crosstown buses right on the corner that are scheduled to come literally every 5 minutes and follow the L train route. This is great for a rainy day or if you are coming from the subway with a lot of packages. The nearest subway is the L train which is about 5 minutes walk from the apartment and it is a great subway line because it connects you with any subway you might need.
Fine linen, fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and soap are always provided. If you need anything , I am always available to help and I am very knowledgeable of the neighborhood and the city.

  • Lena has always been very reactive to any demand. The apartment is equipped with everything you could need and the bed is really comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly and popular. Thanks Lena!

  • Great location, easy, clean and fun! Lena was responsive and accommodating. We were able to drop off our bags before check-in, which was very helpful. The apartment is cozy but probably spacious for NYC. Using plush towels and sleeping on soft sheets was great after a day of non-stop walking, as was using Wifi and the television. Tompkins Square Park is within a couple blocks and the subway is a short walk away. There are a deli and a grocery store at the end of the (website hidden). Mark's place is fun and a short walk away. Check out the Georgian restaurant on E 5th St and Avenue B- it was delicious! Make sure you have cash if you want to eat spontaneously, there were (email hidden) only places. It was a great first Airbnb.

  • Lena was very friendly and easy to reach whenever we needed anything. The apartment was wonderful; cozy, clean, and bright. It was exactly as we expected. Lena's neighborhood guide was very helpful.
    I would stay here again.

  • We had a good week in Lena's apartment which is cosy and comfortable. The location is pretty perfect in the East Village. It's an old apartment and we were a little worried about breaking things at times - the shower curtain rail came down once. It could probably do with a little TLC. Lena (email hidden) and very helpful. The build-up of rubbish outside the front door downstairs did bother me a bit, but this if course is totally out of Lena's control. Overall a good stay.

  • I've been out of town, no internet reception and no time for a review, but Lena was great, the apt. was great and I would definitely book again and recommend to others. Five stars!

  • Lena was a fantastic, friendly host. Communication was easy and prompt. We were able to check in early and check out late due to flights . Apartment very clean and in a great location. Nice quiet street. elevator definitely a bonus.

  • We had a good stay in Lena's apartment. It's a good location not far to the subway and some nice bars. We didn't use the kitchen but shower was good and bed comfy. Met Lena at end of our stay and she was very accommodating.

  • Lena's place is exactly as pictured. Plenty big enough for two, bathroom is big by NYC standards. Great location, friendly locals and great places to eat. Would certainly stay here again!

  • Staying at Lena's was definately one of the positive things about our (first) visit to New York. Being in the East Village meant we escaped the rush and bustle of the tourist areas on returning 'home' and we got to explore the surrounding area and experience some of the locals cafes and bars, (enjoyed Horus Cafe and Doc Hollidays). The flat is well appointed and there were some nice little touches like coffee for the perc (thanks!) and bathroom/hair products etc for our use. We would definately recommend this rental .

  • We really liked the apartment ! It's located in a quiet neighbourhood. It was fully equipped with everything you need. We had a late check-in and late check-out and Lena was very helpful to us, so we could have our luggage at her own apartment until we have to leave.
I could really recommend both the apartment and Lena as a host !

About
Real estate agent, originally from Colombia but a true New Yorker. I enjoy what this great city has to offer and because of the nature of my job, I certainly know how to offer a 5 stars service for a 2 stars price.
