Walking distance to everywhere in West Hollywood. Just 2 blocks to premium supermarkets, a variety of restaurants from casual to upscale, and Metro Rapid bus routes to Hollywood, Downtown, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.
Gas and Electric utilities up to $200 total per month included (overage deducted from security). Free WiFi. Weekly cleaning service available, bi-weekly cleaning of $100 required.
$2000/wk, $6000/mo, $500 security deposit required. Quiet, house-trained dogs may be permitted with $500 fee per stay.
Rentals less than one month legally require 14% TOT (Hotel tax.)
Guests have full use of the townhouse, along with two secure parking spots.
Interaction with Guests
We like to great all guests upon arrival and give them the lay of the land and anwer any final questions. When possible we like to meet with them upon departure. Longer term tenants can expect the occasional check in to make sure all is in working order and that they are satisfied with the accomodations. Will occasionally arrange to come by at the convenience of the guest to address property issues.
The great thing about our neighborhood is that is is pedestrian friendly, day and night. We are walking distance from some of the best restaurants in the city and from a huge variety of entertainment and shopping. there is probably not an item or service you need that cannot be reached on foot.
Our townhouse is located equidistant from Melrose Ave. and Santa Monica Blvd., so major public transportation options are just steps away.
Other Things to Note
There is a great pocket park with playground about 100 meters north of the property,
Courteous and gracious neighbors expect the same. No smoking anywhere. No cats allowed due to owner allergy. Quiet housebroken dog allowed with additional fee of $500 per stay.
There is mandatory biweekly housekeeper. Tenant pays $100 cash directly. A weekly cleaning option is available.
914 Kings road is such a special, beautiful place...
So, i needed somewhere more long term (3 months) that a was quiet and unassuming getaway and a place from which i could travel to work each day, but in the heart of the city and i couldn't have happened upon a better place. This house is perhaps not for people who want a modern, cutting edge abode (needless to say the kitchen is very much up to scratch in terms of equipment etc) ...it is for sojourners who wish to experience Los Angeles like a proper Angelino or someone who wants a private mecca from which to explore LA. What i mean is it is a place that you can make your home, albeit for a little while.
In the beating heart of West Hollywood but in a sort of self made grove, you will find 914, (when we left, the Jacaranda was in full bloom and just beautiful... seriously, i challenge anyone to find a more beautiful tree outside their window)
I found what i was looking for...a quiet refuge but in the midst of the lovely WeHo bustle. Thats the thing, you see, within minutes one's casual walk winds into the depths of WeHo, and what lovely depths they are...
Joeys on the corner, mary's burgers, laurel hardware, the hudson,, connie and ted's, etc then schindler house or the charlie chaplin house round the corner.
Then theres the food, Ink is down the road as is Ink Sack with its sandwiches which are amazing and Kings road cafe and 3rd street isn't far with all its gems.
I really loved staying at 914, it is so very welcoming and has 2 lovely bedrooms...perfect for having visitors stay, which we did and we all treasured the house like it was our own and were repaid with kindness as such..it was a pleasure. Not least the lovely pond and (email hidden)d the gorgeous greenery that surrounds and infuses the house.
Neil and Frank were so responsive to any needs we had, especially as we were there for a long time. Thank you, gentlemen. They clearly love their property.
We did have certain issues but they were all resolved immediately.
The house may need some updating soon but it certainly proved a lovely home which i would come back to again and again,

Frank and Neil were so very welcoming, the moment we arrived in the house they made us feel very warm and happy.
Our overseas flight arrived earlier than expected, so it was a great relief that they managed for us to have a very early check in :)
The neighborhood couldn't be better for what we were looking for; safe for children, with a lovely small park nearby, clean and quiet, great restaurants all around and friendly neighbors.

We had a really great time at Neil and Frank's place. I highly recommend their place for anyone looking for a place to stay in West Hollywood. Each room has it's own bathroom and balcony which was a very nice touch. Great interior all the way around. The girls loved the bathroom connected to the master bedroom and the stereo system which you can play in the entire home. Thank you for a great experience Neil and Frank.
Neil & Frank's apartment was fastidiously appointed, showing great care for detail. Scrupulously clean, delightfully decorated. A great location within walking distance to the West Hollywood Hills, midway between Melrose & Santa Monica in a very leafy part of N Kings Rd, very close to Gelson's supermarket. Perfect with 2 very spacious secure car parks - a car being essential. Thoughtful email contact during our stay.
We had a really nice stay at Neil and Frank's. The home is luxurious and in an ideal location. It's clear they love their home -- a lot of thought and creativity went into the design and decor of the home, which we appreciated. We enjoyed the fireplaces and comfortable beds. Neil and Frank were great hosts -- very welcoming and kind. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Neil & Frank, sont des hôtes extrêmement attentionnés. La communication avant l'arrivée était parfaite. L'appartement est encore mieux que sur les photos. Très bien situé (à coté de Santa monica & Melrose), a proximité de restos sympas & des commerces de proximités. L'appartement est superbe : la décoration est soignée, les cheminées dans le salon & dans la master room sont très agréables. L'appartement est tout équipé, et prêt à vivre. Nous étions entre amis, c'était un vrai bon séjour !
About the Host, Neil And Frank
Frank is a respected Interior Designer, and Neil is an Episcopal priest. They love their West Hollywood home, which they have owned for 20 years. Spending more time working and living in the desert has created the opportunity for them to share their much loved townhome with others who may be wishing to vacation or work here short or long term.
