Tiffany and Janin's bungalow is awesome! What a great place to land, and come back to after a day exploring. The bikes were a total bonus. My husband enjoyed reading his book on the day bed in the sun room and out on the front patio. We knew we were on vacation and truly relaxing when he could find such comfy spots to unwind. We walked to Abbott Kinney for dinner one night, and brought take-out back another evening and enjoyed eating at the dining room table. The folks staying upstairs seemed to come and go quietly. Staying here was so much better than staying in a hotel! Thank you!
Our host was very available, always replied to my questions in a very timely manner. Great place! Super cute and accommodating. I would stay there again.
My son and I came out from the east coast and stayed for a long weekend for his 14th birthday. He wanted the California experience, so what better place than Venice to serve as a base. This great old house presented just as advertised, and had everything we needed. We loved how quiet it was given that the Venice scene can get pretty noisy - especially on weekends. The house is very close to the boardwalk/beach and you can easily walk to get food etc at waterfront places, or down Abbot Kinney in the other direction. Lots to do and see locally, but we also found it easy to cruise up Santa Monica for some upscale food, drink, and shopping. Plus, being right in Venice situates you close enough to the PCH to make the traffic slog up to Malibu bearable.
Communication with the hosts was excellent. No problems finding the house. LOVED that there was a parking space right out the back door. Also, the trundle bed came in handy when my brother stayed over one of the nights. Great place. We would recommend it to anyone interested in the Venice experience.
An incredible stay. Beach side. Central location to everything fun! Charming home. Super clean and spacious. Everything you need and more. Helpful and available Hosts. A perfect Venice Beach getaway.
My husband and I loved our stay at Tiffany and Janin's lovely Venice apartment, and we decided right after settling in that it wouldn't be the last time we booked this place.
It's a very short walk to the beach and the busy boardwalk, but just far enough to get away from the noise and all the people there when you want to enjoy some quiet time on the porch watching hummingbirds (perfect way to start or end a day...)
We didn't use the bikes but chose to walk along the beach to Santa Monica and to the historic canals, which we highly recommend.
If you enjoy cooking, this place has a spacious kitchen. We preferred eating out and found the "Baja Cantina" on our way to the canals - excellent Tacos and Margaritas!
Thanks to the house manual and detailed guide, checking in was a breeze, the washer and dryer were highly appreciated after almost two weeks of travel, and the apartment really felt like a home away from home.
This lovely unit is in a perfect neighbourhood. The walking street in front was pretty and very quiet. I could not believe how close it was to the centre of the shops and restaurants and vibrant atmosphere of Venice Beach. The parking was great. Inside was everything you might need and the linen and towels were new and clean. It was spacious and comfortable. It felt like home. Tiffany and Janin were great and even let us leave our luggage with them as we had many hours to fill before our late night flight out and didn't want to drive around with everything piled in the rental all day. There is a Whole Foods round the corner and an abundance of cool shops and restaurants on Main. We loved it. We rode the great beach bikes and went for long long walks down the coast. It was gorgeous.
We had a delightful stay here. Everything was just as described and as pictured. The friendly emails and check-in information Tiffany and Janin sent ahead to us were all accurate and apropos, as were the additional tips and maps waiting for us in the apartment. As we knew it would, the parking spot proved hugely valuable. It was a zip to get here from the airport and believe it or not, from everywhere else we drove all over the county. We'd stay here again and recommend this to friends (including local friends from the other side of town) in a heartbeat.

I am from Venice, California. I am in real estate although I have worked in education also. I like reading, swimming (ocean), traveling, gardening, bike riding, dancing, Yoga. I am not a big party person - although I did go to Burning Man last year. That was quite an adventure!. I recommend it highly. Just drink lots of water and be prepared for the dust!
I have two children, one is a software engineer in San Francisco and the other is in art school. I have a cat and my brother's dog occasionally visits - with or with out the brother.
A few years ago I took my kids to NY and we found a cool East Village apartment on Craig's list but Craig's list can be a little dicey so I thought I tried Airbnb this last trip. I had such a great experience with Airbnb in New York that I decided to list an apartment I have in Venice when I came back. My sister in law, Tiffany, lives in the same building and we are working on this project together.
I was going to list books I like but that would be a really long list... How about favorite movie? Chinatown
Travel - love Venice, Italy, and Paris of course, and Mexico. And Museum Island in Berlin. And tropical beaches, well, any mountain or beach, actually. And Horses.
Tiffany is a hard working mom by day, and a knitter by night. I love going the extra mile to put a smile on our guest' faces. I am a 6 or 7th generation born in SoCal, on my Mom's side.
I have 2 dogs, that I love to death! I am a homebody! I love baking and trying new gluten free foods! I am 100% obsessed with all things Pretty Little Liars! The only time its hard to get in touch with me is when Pll is on TV!
My family comes first always! I am so happy being a mother to one amazing little girl, and I try to be the best wife I can! Having a close connection with family is really important to me!
I went to a Waldorf school, so I like to think I can think out of the box, and I try to be as creative as I can be.
I would love to go back to Greece and Germany. A dream vacation would be Fiji.
We are friendly, flexible, knowledgeable and will try to answer any questions you have about Venice and the surrounding areas whether or not you book with us.
