ABOUT THE APARTMENT:
My just renovated well-connected 60 sqm apartment is located on the ground floor in a silent and green courtyard at the border between Nord Neukölln and Berlin-Kreuzberg.
The apartment has high ceilings, wooden floor, fully equiped kitchen with electric stove, electric oven, boiler, toaster, coffee machine, bathroom with bathtub, a 180/200 bed and a cozy160/200 bedsofa, washing machine, and dry machine.
Free Wifi, TV with DVD player, radio. Fresh towels and fresh bed sheets are included. On demand computer, baby cot and bikes (6€ per day).
Final cleaning is 30€. We can offer you an extra cleaning during your stay for, 10€ per hour.
In the apartment you'll find several information about Berlin, maps and guides and if there is anything missing, just let me know and I will try my best to take care of it.
Public parking is available just in front of the building.
The apartment is located in the trendy scene rising at the border of Kreuzberg and Nord Neukölln (known as Kreuzkölln) in the middle of the multicultural Berlin scene. Few meter away from the charming Landwehrkanal. “Kreuzköln” is now really booming, with a bars, cafes, galleries and restaurants opening almost every week.
The attractive Turkish takes place every Tuesday and Friday along the Canal where you can buy fresh vegetables, fish, meat or eating a delicious kebab watching one of the canal-side live jam sessions.
Three parks are within walking distance (including the former Historical Airport Berlin Tempelhof).
You will find all the public transportation that you need in order to get through Berlin. In 2 minutes walk you can reach the metro station U8, U7 and Bus M29 (which is quite special because it passes by the Jewish Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, the Martin Gropius Bau, Potsdamer Platz, the New National Gallery and the KuDamm).
There are many super markets in the area (Edeka, Lidl, Aldi, Karstadt in Hermanplatz (10 min away) a Bio LPG, many kiosks open all night long and many bakeries (one in the building!) cafes and a variety of international restaurants, for each taste and every budget.
Within walking distance from the apartment there are also design shops, vintage stores, book shops, galleries and boutiques.
The atmosphere in the streets of the multicultural neighborhood is very cozy, friendly and alive, much more real and beautiful of other parts of the city.
Here you can experience the real Berlin nightlife in the bars and clubs, all in within walking distance: Weserstraße, Hobrechtstrasse, Ohlauerstrasse, Reichenbergerstrasse and Kotbussertor. And during the summer Club Der Visionäre and Badeschiff are really close.
There are lots of cinemas in the area that screen film in orginal language (many even open-air).

Information for visitors on Berlin’s hotel occupancy tax
What is being taxed?
As of 1 January 2014, the federal state of Berlin will collect a hotel occupancy tax on all overnight stays in hotels in Berlin. A “hotel” includes any type of short-term, paid accommodation, and the tax is due whether or not the hotel guest actually spends the night in the room.
If a room is reserved, but the guest cancels the reservation before arrival, the occupancy tax is not charged.
Who is liable for the tax?
The hotel is responsible for collecting the tax and passing it on to the federal state of Berlin.
How much is the tax?
The occupancy tax is 5% of the price of the hotel room (without extras, such as meals, items from the minibar, the use of hotel services and facilities not included in the room price, etc.).

The apartment was exactly like the photos. The location is perfect as the U-Bahn is just around the corner and the best breakfast place is just a 5 minutes walk away (The Brezel Company). The apartment was nice and clean, warm and comfy. The only thing that annoyed us was the fact that there were two single duvets instead of one double big one, which made the cuddling experience a bit uncomfortable. But i guess that can be easily fixed.

check-in time was 12:00, when we came at 12:00 the flat was a big mess (can happen). Clara was at first nice, she said that shes sorry and we could go to toilet and leave out bags. but then she asked from us to come back in 3 hour! after a night flight it was a lot for us. when we came back, the flat was still not ready, but we had to lie for a while, so we went to the room for a nap.
sadly for us the cleaner was still there making a lot of noise, that prevent from us any sleep, finely at 17:00 we were left alone. when i called Carla to tell here she said sorry but its not her fault but the guests before us fault. ??!! I find it a bit disrespectful, when I told her that she should compensate us in any way, she said no! this lady is running a full time holiday flats business and she does not care about her service. beside that the flat is O.K,very basic- some more knifes and a thing to dry the dishes is missing. the street is quite noisy, and at night its a bit scary- drunk and weird ppl walking around.
the good stuff about it that its very close for public transportation and its a area that is really full with bars and coffee places.
there was another thing, about a new tax that we were asked to pay. in this case I can say that it is also my fault, I didnt see that she wrote it in the description, but again if you have a business you should act like it, she could make sure that we understand that we need to pay more after the payment to Air bnb.
Dear Yoni, you were not at the check in and probably your sister didn't tell you exactly what happened. She was supposed to send me an SMS after landing in Berlin. She didn't do that but I was waiting for her at the apartment anyway since I was doing a check out. The airbnb guest checking out we're unfortunately late and when your sister and your mum arrived the cleaner had not started to clean. I apologised, I check them in. I gave them the keys let them use the toilet and leave the luggage. I suggested them to have breakfast in one of the nice bar around my apartment. They understood the situation, it was not my fault. The cleaner came back at 12.45 and clean till 14.45. I was at the apartment to check that everything was ok and to pay the cleaner at 14.40 and your mother and sister where already in bed SLEEPING. I could not speak to them and I never spoke to them again. They never called me. You called me they day before their check out to invent the story of them waiting for 6 hours on the street and ask for money!!!!! It's not my problem if you haven't read properly the description of my apartment. It says clearly that there is the new Berlin tax that has to be paid, not to me but to the city of Berlin. I just collect the money for them. The area were the apartment is is calm and silent. I don't see now the reason to say this and I don't really understand why you told airbnb this story. It is not true and me, my boyfriend and the cleaner saw your sister and mother sleeping at 2.30!! They left the apartment on time and clean by the way. Thank you
Carla is a great host. she met us at the apartment to explain the basics then left us to enjoy our holiday. It's a lovely apartment in a great spot, I will definitely stay there again if I go back.
A nice apartment. Interesting neighbourhood.
Excellent for two persons. With 4 or 5 , sleeping is less comfortable and the equipment basic. Some more cups would be nice.
We were 2 couples, in Berlin for a long weekend and Carla and Dalila were great from start to finish and the apartment was clean, tidy and exactly as the pictures.
The local transport was ideal and easy to get around, the neighbours didn't make a sound and the traffic noise was minimal and certainly didn't register with us during our stay.
The only downside was that the apartment has 1 bedroom, rather than 2 advertised, and although the sofa bed looked fine, we didn't want to compromise on this part of our stay. Carla sorted out another studio apartment round the corner for a discount rate which helped the situation.
Overall, I'd highly recommend staying at one of Carla's properties.
We had a nice stay in the hobrechtstrasse. Very elegant apartment, good help by Carla. Easy to find, good point of departure for all kind of trips including a good walk to the Tempelhof, Kreuzberg etc.
We spent three nights in Berlin at Carla's place. It was great! Carla was extremely accommodating and helpful. She even booked our Taxi to the airport for us! The apartment is very spacious and clean. It is five minutes walk from the U-Bahn station and all major tourist sights are easily accessible. We had a great experience there.
Three of us stayed at this apartment for 3 nights. The apartment is situated such that it is very close to public transportation and shopping. Parking is free but may be hard to find. The person sleeping in the living room is advised to bring along earplugs since noise from the street tends to disturb. From our experience, even some of the neighbors were quite noisy in the middle of the night.
Dalila, Carla's assistant was very polite and helpful. She was waiting at the apartment when we arrived and was kind enough to wait on the last day as we packed.
The kitchen was quite well stocked and everything was in good functioning order.
We would recommend this apartment to others.
