My just renovated 35 sq.m. studio is located on the ground floor in a silent and green courtyard few steps from the beautiful Landwehrkanal at the border between Nord Neukölln and Berlin-Kreuzberg.
The apartment has high ceilings, linoleum on the floor, fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, electric oven, boiler, toaster, moka machine, bathroom with shower, a 140/200 bed and cozy bed-sofa.
Free Wifi, TV with DVD player, sound system for Ipod. Fresh towels and fresh bed sheets are included. On demand computer, baby cot and bikes (6€ per day)
Final cleaning is 30€. We can offer you a washing service, €7 per machine (iron is also in the flat) and extra cleaning during you stay for, 10€ per hour.
In the apartment you'll find several information about Berlin, maps and guides. And if there is anything missing, just let me know and I will try my best to take care of it. I live in the same building.
Public parking is available just in from of the building.
The apartment is located in the trendy scene rising at the border of Kreuzberg and Nord Neukölln (known as Kreuzkölln) in the middle of the multicultural Berlin scene. Few meter away from the charming Landwehrkanal. “Kreuzköln” is now really booming, with bars, cafes, galleries and restaurants opening almost every week.
The attractive Turkish takes place every Tuesday and Friday along the Canal where you can buy fresh vegetables, fish, meat or eating a delicious kebab watching one of the canal-side live jam sessions.
Three parks are within walking distance (including the former Historical Airport Berlin Tempelhof). You will find all the public transportation that you need in order to get through Berlin. In 2 minutes walk you can reach the metro station U8, U7 and Bus M29 (which is quite special because it passes by the Jewish Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, the Martin Gropius Bau, Potsdamer Platz, the New National Gallery and the KuDamm).
There are many super markets in the area (Edeka, Lidl, Aldi, Karstadt in Hermanplatz (10 min away) a Bio LPG, many kiosks open all night long and many bakeries (one in the building!) cafes and a variety of international restaurants, for each taste and every budget.
Within walking distance from the apartment there are also design shops, vintage stores, book shops, galleries and boutiques.
The atmosphere in the streets of the multicultural neighborhood is very cozy, friendly and alive, much more real and beautiful of other parts of the city.
Here you can experience the real Berlin nightlife in bars and clubs, all in within walking distance: Weserstraße, Hobrechtstrasse, Ohlauerstrasse, Reichenbergerstrasse and Kottbussertor. And during the summer Club Der Visionäre and Badeschiff are really close.
There are lots of cinemas in the area that screen film in original language (many even open-air).
I'm sure you'll love it!

Information for visitors on Berlin’s hotel occupancy tax
What is being taxed?
As of 1 January 2014, the federal state of Berlin will collect a hotel occupancy tax on all overnight stays in hotels in Berlin. A “hotel” includes any type of short-term, paid accommodation, and the tax is due whether or not the hotel guest actually spends the night in the room.
If a room is reserved, but the guest cancels the reservation before arrival, the occupancy tax is not charged.
Who is liable for the tax?
The hotel is responsible for collecting the tax and passing it on to the federal state of Berlin.
How much is the tax?
The occupancy tax is 5% of the price of the hotel room (without extras, such as meals, items from the minibar, the use of hotel services and facilities not included in the room price, etc.).

AT THE CHECK IN YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PAY THE BERLIN TAX IN CASH .
THE BERLIN TAX IS THE 5% OF THE PRICE YOU PAID WITHOUT THE AIRBNB COMMISSION AND THE FINAL CLEANING. IF YOU ARE COMING TO BERLIN FOR WORKING REASON OR STAYING IN BERLIN FOR MORE THEN 3 WEEKS DON'T HAVE TO PAY IT.
Really loved this cozy little studio. Everything was very clean, and we had everything we needed.
The best thing about this place was the neighbourhood. Such a nice part of Berlin, right near a canal, within walking distance of the Wall and really close to the UBahn. There was a great cafe right next door to the apartment - Katie's Blue Cat - which had the best home baked bagels (and cheesecake) ever. Coffee was great too. Weincafe was another favourite wine bar in the apartment building.
Carla's communication was prompt and she was very nice and accommodating.
I would definitely recommend this place again.
The flat was perfect. Great area, nice host. Everything was great! Thanks again.
Arrival was smooth and easy, picked up the (email hidden) close by and let myself into the apartment. The apartment is nicely decorated, very comfortable and just as described. I had everything I needed - there are even a couple of umbrellas which came in handy on the one rainy day. Great and very international neighborhood, lots of bars and small shops. Would stay here again!
We didn't get to know Carla, but we had a nice comunication and everything went really somethly. The apartment is super nice, everything is new, clean and it's also well locate. Totally recommend it.
Danke nochmals!

I live in Berlin but I grew up in Rome where I got my graduation in Law. I'm documentary filmmaker and I rent my apartments in the Historical Centre of Rome and in Kreuzberg and Neukölln in Berlin.
