The Space

My house, Placed in Marina di Pisa That is close to Pisa International Airport and the sea, goes back to 1905. At That Time Marina di Pisa used to be a well-known seaside resorts to members of the Italian aristocracy. Its rooms Can Tell About That Time : frescos on the ceilings portray the beautiful scenery of the pinewood and the sea. The house has got a lovely gardenwhere you can relax , or on the patio.I cookTuscan delicacies. You can taste wine and tasty homemade icecream. Futhermore, I could pick up my guests at the airport. Exhibitions and festivals in Autumn in the Pisa area. Pisa Picasso exhibition, Palace Blue up to January 29 St. Miniato (20 km from Pisa) The Truffle Festival: 12/13, 19/20, 26/27 November Crespina (Pisa) Novello Wine Festival: free tasting of the wine along with new dishes of Tuscan cuisine .4 November. Suvereto (Livorno) Wild Boar Festival November 27.
A great piece of news for those who have got a boat ....Now in Marina di Pisa there's a port ,which can host about 450 boats.
From here you can reach wonderful places like "the five lands" or Cinque terre.

  • We spent a long weekend at Aurora's and we had a great time! She is a very nice and welcoming host, always ready to help and to have a chat. We enjoyed the beauty of her house, the comfort of the large room and private bathroom... and most of all the warmth she welcomed us with!
Marina di Pisa is quite nice, not as turistic as the "Versilia" area, but a very good destination for a long relaxing weekend.

  • Aurora is a great friendly host. We spent one night at her place on July 9th, 2013, and everything was perfectly organized, clean and comfortable. She prepared a very good breakfast meal too.
I liked the balcony and the bedroom's style with the painted high ceiling.

  • We stayed 4 nights at Aurora's home , and found her very pleasant and amenable . The room was beautifully decorated , with painted walls and ceilings , and the bed comfortable. It is adjacent to a road which we found busier than we had expected. Aurora cooked us a very nice meal, and we enjoyed sitting out on the back porch drinking tea, or sipping our wine. Breakfasts were very simple, bread with jams, yoghurt and fruit.

  • Aurora could not have been more helpful. Her house is stunning and her cooking delicious. We were welcomed with a pot of tea and afternoon homemade cake. Even the marmalade and jam with breakfast is homemade! In addition to this, Aurora introduced us to her friends who were all so welcoming and she drove us to the airport on the final morning. For me, the house is well situated as it allows the possiblity of catching the bus into Pisa, from where it is easy to take a train to Lucca or Florence. Then, it is a delight to be able to come back in the afternoon and have a swim in the sea before taking a shower and enjoying the relaxing elegance of the bedroom. Aurora is a retired English teacher and so her English is excellent. She is an exceptionally kind and attentive host. I would thoroughly recommend staying with her. Thank you so much Aurora. I may return with a friend next year!

  • Aurora's home is lovely. The ceilings are truly amazing: high with beautiful painted designs. It was like staying in a museum but she has a modern bathroom, etc. The guest bedroom is upstairs and the bath is not attached but is private for the guest. The bedroom is huge! and the bed was comfortable. She prepared a perfect breakfast for us: fruit, cheese, yogurt, etc. The night before she prepared (at an extra cost) dinner for us. We parked on the street without incident. I really was the perect place for us to stay after arriving on the ferry into Livorno. The ferry deposits you very close to the highway that goes right up the coast to Marina di Pisa. She is a couple of blocks off the main street so it was quiet, convenient and easy to find. Since the ferry gets in late (from Sicily) we didn't want to hassle with city traffic. We made an excellent choice. She was flexible, hospitable, and helpful. For us, it suited our needs perfectly.

  • Aurora is a very nice person, she has a BnB mostly to meet people, share ideas and enjoy company. Unfortunatly, we could just stay one night. She speaks good english. We enjoyed the room, very nice, confortable, impressive historic deco of the ceiling. The house is very well located, close from the airport, not far from the historic center. Excellent place for the night of your arrival or departure, or more if you stay more in Pisa. Marina di Pisa is a very quiet little town, on the sea. We parked our rented car in front of the house.
Aurora prepared a very nice toscan diner (toscan soup, with lots of vegetables, green beans with tomatoes and garlic, cheeses, home made ice cream, bread and wine, and a drop of cognac at the end! The price of the diner (25 euros) was just a bit expensive for us, with our french salaries, but it's worth it.
The breakfast was excellent and abundant, home made marmelades, home made cake, cheese, salami and ham, fruits, natural yoghourt.

  • Staying at Aurora's place was a unique experience. Four reasons: the house, which is beautiful. The room, which is large, has a fantastic ceiling an a great sea-view. The location: in Pisa-marina, which is a village adjacent to Pisa, and has a real nice boulevard. And then: the host! Aurora is very welcoming, kind and interesting to talk to.
If you have a chance, enjoy her fabulous Italian dinner with wine and ice-cream. You won't regret it!

  • Aurora was lovely and very inviting. Her house is located super close to the beach and the room is the most beautiful we stayed in during our trip to Italy. It has gorgeous fresco ceilings you could just stare at for hours. Aurora is very personable, funny, fluent in English, and is a fabulous cook. Her lasagna was to die for! Thank you for a peaceful and fulfilling experience!
