Everything was great! The description and photos were very accurate. It suited our needs very well. It was clean and fully stocked. They basically had everything we could possibly need. It was a nice bike ride or 10 minutes drive from downtown. I would definitely stay there again.
Rebecca is a very friendly & helpful host, and her house is very charming!
The rooms are clean and neat. The living room is spacious & welcoming.
My family & I biked everywhere on the island, and 23 Macy's Ln is convenient as bike paths are running very close to the house.
Definitely try the outdoor shower right after a long day at the beach!
I would highly recommend her place!
This is a charming and spacious house in the middle of Nantucket! While it's listed as an apartment, guests have access to the entire ground floor (huge kitchen, living area, and half bath) plus an upstairs with three bedrooms and a full bathroom. It was more than enough space for six people, and we also took full advantage of the back yard and grill. Rebecca and her husband Mike stay in the basement, and while Rebecca was out of town the weekend we were there, Mike was a very gracious host--even driving us over to the brewery and offering to take us to the grocery store.
The location is a bit tricky, as it's not close to the beach or to town, so we took cabs pretty much everywhere (which only came out to about $5/person with six people). There is public transportation called the WAVE but we didn't experiment with that at all, and bikes probably would have been a good option too. In any case, cabs are easy to call and arrive quickly. It is close to the airport but we heard very little noise from the planes.
All in all, we wish we had stayed longer than three nights!
We had an amazing stay at 23 Macy's Lane. The home was just as pictured on the listing and Mike and Rebecca were extremely responsive and flexible with our group. Any question we had before the trip was answered quickly and Mike was helpful for our party during the entire stay. We were walking distance to the beach (about 20 mins) and we felt like were close to downtown and all the sites. I would highly recommend this home and hope to spend another weekend here in the future!
Definitely stay here if you have the chance! Beautiful home and location. We didn't get the chance to meet Rebecca but Mike was so kind and we even met up with him at Cisco for a bit. Thanks guys!
The House on Macy's Lane was perfect for our stay over Memorial Day Weekend. Rebecca and Mike (and Chami) are very gracious and generous hosts, helping us through a cab shortage once over the weekend. We look forward to going back to Nantucket and would love to stay with Rebecca once again. Thanks!
