I am Emilie and you can spend the week-end (or more time during my holidays) at my place when I am away.
It is 38sq meters flat with :
- bedroom (bed 160x200)
- living room (convertible couch 140x180) & american kitchen
- bathroom (shower) and separate toilet
It is on the 2nd floor (lift), light, very quiet and located in a lively neigborhood, in between the Canal St Martin, the Buttes Chaumont and the Chinese district of Belleville. Only 15 minutes from Marais & Chatelet (metro line 11) and Montmartre (metro line 2).
It is equipped with everything you might need (washing machine, dishwasher, wifi access, piano, hairdryer ... except TV). Of course, I provide sheets.
If you smoke, you can, but only by the window ...
Feel free to contact me if you need further information.
attention : la porte claque, prenez la clé en sortant !
be careful to have the key with you when you go out !
Tri sélectif : 3 poubelles en bas dans la cour
Waste sorting : 3 bins in the courtyard
I stayed in Emilie's apartment with my family for 3 nights and we are all very happy with the place. The apartment is not big (but hey, it's Paris, I've seen much worse). It is well taken cared of, clean and organized. The heating system as well as all facilities in the house (washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, kettle, TV, wifi router, bed and beddings) works very well. Emilie was very responsive and pleasant to deal with - immediately after I booked, she sent follow-up instructions with all information needed to get to the place and pick up the key. She was also quick to answer all of my questions throughout my stay. Another plus is that there is a big supermarket open until 9pm right downstairs and there are bakeries and reasonably-priced restaurants along the street, making it very convenient to grab a bite when other stores in Paris are closed. The house is a few minute walk from 2 train stations. The sofa bed may not be the most comfortable setting for seniors or those with back issues but we were completely OK sleeping on it. Overall, I am happy with the value of the apartment.
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Thanks, Emilie, for the nice and cosy place.
The ‘apartment' is a typical French old-fashioned small flat. There was no problem with obtaining flat's keys etc.
It is situated in proximity of Metro line 2 (ca. 1 minute walk) which is a big ‘+' however that line requires metro swapping constantly as it isn’t any of the main lines. There’s a bus line 75 which few minutes walk from the flat and it will take you straight to Louvre (last stop) and it goes through the central part of Paris.
All you’ll need in the flat is inside, including washing machine, TV and Wi-Fi, a comfortable 2 persons bed in the bedroom and a small couch in the saloon/kitchen ( I don’t advise using it as it is really uncomfortable).
The biggest issue of this flat is a presence of rodents -they are present in the kitchen cabinet under the sink. Pans and other cooking equipment is covered in mice crap and urine. There’s even a mouse trap next to the pans!!!!
The worst thing was a stench which within two days became unbearable!!! Every time you come back to the flat and open the door a humid wave of mice urine smell hits you in the face.
Back home I had to wash everything about three times to get rid of that horrible stench. Almost impossible to wash off.
To summerise-if you want to stay for a day or two it is fine. Anything longer than that is not good at all.
very pretty apartment, small but functional and you can find everything you need. strategically location for reach the main places of paris
