We are always on hand to answer any questions and with advice on the local area. And of course we will be providing you with breakfast in the mornings. We often have interesting people passing through, with communal dinners in the evening which you would be welcome to join, if you feel like it. But if you just want peace and to be left to your own devices then we are very happy to do just that. It's totally up to you!
A walker’s paradise, you can access Le Grand Rondonee just a 15 minute walk from our door, and we are moments from forests, fields and valleys where you can roam free in nature. We are close to the river, with beautiful swimming spots and its grassy banks for cooling off (if you’re feeling daring take one of our canoes down with you.) You’ll find many attractive villages and towns nearby with traditional markets, restaurants and cafes. The nearest big town to us is Albi; a world heritage site and home to the Toulouse Lautrec museum and the ancient cathedral. We are very happy to help with planning walks, outings and where to eat out when you visit.
Os Figueiros is located in the Tarn department in the Midi Pyrenees region of south west France about 65 miles north east of Toulouse, 25 miles north of Albi. Travel connections are good.

We fell in love with the place from the pictures on the listing, and we weren't disappointed! A gorgeous rural wonderland, we enjoyed sitting in the flower strewn courtyard, and relaxing in the hammocks.
Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The whole place has a lot of charm. David and his daughter Chloe, were both peaceful souls, and we felt welcome to make ourselves at home. The surrounding countryside and river walk close by were also wonderful places to unwind. Thank you David for sharing your wonderful home with us!
It was a very relaxing setting lost in the beautiful hills of the Tarn region. In the morning you awake to the sounds of birds, the hum of myriad insects, and the distant crow of a rooster. There are hammocks in the garden upon which you can relax and appreciate your surroundings. Dave is a nice, amenable, and very warm host. You enjoy your stay at your own rhythm choosing to mingle or not, either way your privacy is respected. It was an overall pleasant experience which I highly recommend.
David and his home is in a beautiful traditional hamlet tucked away in a lovely landscape. David was incredibly welcoming and I would really recommend a stay here.
The accommodation has been beautifully restored with a lovely rustic quality and being able to cook breakfast with produce from the garden was a real treat.
The surrounding landscape and villages were wonderful to explore by car, coming home in the evening to a crackling fire really made our day. The peaceful locations and beautiful beamed bedrooms were perfect.
Thanks so much David and we hope to visit your place sometime soon again!

About the Host, David
I love being in nature, gardening, building and restoring where i live . In the spring and summer i enjoy swimming in the nearby river, working outside, lazing around and relaxing in my courtyard with friends under the stars. I am very easy going and open to new experiences and people and try not to take myself too seriously. I am interested in alternative lifestyles and ways of being, have had lots of adventures and worked as a cranial osteopath for 25 years..
