Historic converted 1890's boathouse in the middle of Greenport Village. This charming 3 story, shingle-style home is walking distance to the yacht basin, village shops, restaurants & wine bar, train & bus stations and many other amenities. Several beaches are a short walk or bike ride away. The house has had an authentic historic restoration and now boasts a formal Dining Room & Living Room with fireplace on the ground floor. Both the Living Room & Kitchen open on to a patio and deck respectively through huge 8'-0' french doors. The patio looks over a mature garden while the deck is enclosed by a shady arbor and makes an ideal summer dining spot. A covered porch, also off of the Living Room is perfect for enjoying the late afternoon light. On the second floor is the Master Suite. The huge bedroom has a fireplace, walk in closet and master bath. Additional sleeping, a fully finished basement & laundry room can also be found. There is parking for 1 car.
Summer rental (Memorial day to Labor Day) requires a 1 week minimum. All other times require a 2 night minimum.
A wonderful elegant home. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The attention to detail of all aspects of the house and services was clearly apparent
We absolutely loved this charming house. Truly you cannot beat the location. Walking distance to the brewery, walking distance to dinners and the heart of town. Walking distance to the water - we loved that! The house is so beautifully decorated, the beds were so comfortable, we unfortunately had late spring snow while we were there, but we loved sitting around the fireplace sipping on wine. We all said we would love to go back in the springtime/summer when we could use the outdoor backyard space as well. Gregory was so accommodating and easy to get in touch with. Everything from the kitchen, linens, water pressure, furniture, dishware, (email hidden) notch!
Greg was super helpful with answering all my questions and helping with recommendations. He provided plenty of information and was very responsive.
We had a great weekend in Greenport. The house was clean and exactly what we expected from the photos. My only complaint would be that the house was a little cold on the main floor with the large amount of exposed glass. We were here in March and there was still snow on the ground so that played in as a factor but I think this is more geared towards a summer/spring getaway house.
Gregory and his house were wonderful! I can't wait to go back. It was perfect!
Our stay in Gregory's beautifully restored 19th century seaside captain's home was simply perfect.
From the start, Gregory was so helpful, answering all my questions with promptness and humor. Additionally, he offered lots of great information about the charming town of Greenport.
Ultimately, however, my favorite part of the week away was snuggling up on the cozy couch and warming myself beside the lovely fire.
In short, Gregory's home is comfortable, fully appointed, and important to me, truly beautiful. He takes great care of his home and his guests. I am so grateful
for his hospitality and style.
I miss it already and plan to return again soon.
Gregory's beautifully-designed house is the perfect getaway for anybody in search some peace and quiet in a great location. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the property and the Gregory's excellent tips for local dining and adventures. Two thumbs up!!

I'm an Canadian Architect living & working in New York. I love to travel & when we're away our place is available to rent. I like staying in apartments when on vacation - it makes me feel a part of a community & and less of just a tourist.
