Our stay in Alice's place was great- it's in a really nice, but quiet, area of Paris. The room was, as advertised, small and on the 4th floor with the bathroom in the hallway right next door. There is an elevator so don't worry about lugging your bags up the stairs. There is a sink and shower in the room. Alice was extremely helpful and nice when we had trouble with the door lock around 11pm on our first night there, and she was nice enough to reimburse us for an adapter to allow us to use the plug in internet with our macs (wifi was down). Her husband was very friendly and nice about the fact that we arrived about an hour later than expected due to a train delay. Both Alice and her husband speak excellent english. We also loved the linen sheets (very luxurious) and the view of the eiffel tower (even though you can only see that if you stand in the shower)! Would definitely recommend this place for a short stay in Paris, though the room is too small for a long stay with more than 1 person.
We loved our stay on Rue de la Baume! The location was perfect, peaceful, and beautiful, and we loved the building and the room. It was tiny, but lovely. Alice was amazing - very welcoming, helpful, available if we had questions, and prompt with anything we needed (clean towels, snacks, laundry, directions - you name it!). She was such a great person to meet and we will definitely stay here again when we return to this amazing city!
We had a great stay in Alice's room! The room is perfect for Paris, in a great area - we walked everywhere from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower. The room is private, in a beautiful building, nice and clean. It is small, but perfectly comfortable since we were out exploring Paris from early in the morning to late at night. Alice was so sweet - left us m&ms and water bottles, and checked in daily to see if we needed anything. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Recommend 100%!
The listing was exactly as described. Not big but extremely homey and cozy. Vintage decorations give the place an Old Paris ambiance. Close to any metro and a Starbucks (for wifi) and a grocery store within 1 block if needed. Can't say enough about the room!
Outside the room, Alice made the experience even better. Recommending several good restaurants and a few good non-touristy things to do. Great host!
Would definitely stay again. Thanks Alice!
